Sam Samida: One of the best restaurants in Hamilton period. Very unique menu plus nice selection of drinks. Dave is owner is very inviting and generous. Tried this place more than 20 times over the last few years. Excellent 🥂again and again like to visit this place whenever I have new date or driving by it lol this is one of my favourite restaurants in Hamilton. Never let me down when it comes to quality and taste.

Torré Spina: Edited after my original review, the owner had contacted me afterwards and was nothing less than perfect for how the situation went.The owner genuinely cares about each and every customer, and i can assure that this will be allergy friendly upon insistence to your server.Genuinely impressed, for the places I have gone and had allergic reactions, none have called me to genuinely ask how I was, it makes all the difference.As for the environment, and quality of food, nothing less than top notch. Every bite, every sip, every oyster, is delicious and is somehow even better than memory each time you eat there.The best restaurant in Hamilton, hands down.
Leona Olney: Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the southern Ontario! The food is beyond amazing - all out appetizers were great, especially the duck liver pate. The trout and braised beef were so full of flavour. And the crème brûlée was a lovely light finish to the meal along with great coffee. The service was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is open and welcoming and you can watch you meal being prepared in the kitchen. The cocktail list offers loads of options and they have a really good alcohol free selection as well. Can’t wait to go back!Parking: Across the road- 1 minute walk to restaurant.

Michele Braun: Kudos to Aaron at The Diplomat Friday May 12, 2023. We arrived with a reservation that I had made in error for the incorrect day. The restaurant was currently closed for a movie shoot. Aaron took it upon himself to walk us over to The French and secure us a table. He was very friendly and professional but most of all helpful. We had an amazing meal at The French and a lovely evening. Amazing customer service, staff and food. Highly recommend both establishments!

Maureen Linehan: or you can enjoy a table with low lighting for a more intimate setting. For a Monday evening the place was busy, which was nice to see.As an FYI, there is no parking onsite but we found plenty of street parking and if you plan to indulge, a taxi/Uber is the best option. 5 stars all around!! We look forward to a return visit soon!
Sonic Boom 555: The service and food were amazing!!! I have been eating food in this city for 40 years! If you miss the Sirloin Cellar you need to eat here! First class place would recommend it to everyone!
Tiffany Leung: I took my family of 10 here for dinner from China and they were incredibly impressed with the food, presentation, and the level of service received by Lois! Without question, they had placed our large group in a private dining room, our waters were constantly refilled and asked how we were doing. We ordered 3 bone-in ribeye steaks and a few of their sides, the 1000 layer potato comes highly recommended and did not disappoint. This place was a show stopper and would return for a date night for a more intimate experience.

We got the wagyu, 1000 layer potato, truffle fries and the cheesecake. Ndama Simon: I got a small poutine and a fish for under $10 and it tastes amazing. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for something tasty at a good price.

Dominik Parisien: Best food in Hamilton. My wife and I have been ordering from Wass for about two years and the food has always been outstanding. It's our go-to place to order and our favourite restaurant in the city. We normally pick it up but decided to dine there for my birthday. Yonas was so kind, and the food superb. The presentation was also lovely. We definitely need to eat there in person more often. Can't recommend it enough.
Brandon Findling: My friend just moved by Wass so we walked in to grab dinner and check it out. Food is absolutely incredible! We shared the beef alicha and lamb Wass special with injera and rice. So much flavor in everything, we literally cleaned it all up! My friend said it might be the best Ethiopian food he has had. Lastly, I had a cup of their Ethiopian coffee which was also incredibly tasty. Thoroughly impressed 😋

Alexis Petrovic: We were celebrating with family of 10 for 2 birthdays. The team here were fantastic from the time of booking the reservation to the end of the night! Bal’s cocktails were delicious and our server Alexander/Caton was amazing! Very engaging and attentive. The chef did an excellent job serving all of our meals together and the food was amazing! The place is beautiful, also they have live music and the food is really good, I tried the lobster with steak and omg, it was the first time I tried lobster and it was worth it. Jeremy Martin: Just got home after a lovely date night at Brothers Grimm Bistro. We had never been there and wanted to find a new place tonight. We literally googled "best upscale restaurant-vibe in Hamilton", and Brothers Grimm came up. So glad we took the chance and tried it. The atmosphere in there in amazing and cosy. We were greeted by a lovely hostess, and then Alexander looked after us for the evening. Alexander is a superstar server who helped make our date-night so special, The food was fantastic - we filled up on appetizers, wine, dessert & a freshly prepared coffee. We will 100% go back and bring friends next time. Awesome restaurant that I would recommend to anyone wanting a special night out!!!
