Leslie Alvarez: Excellent hidden gem in Hamilton! My boyfriend and I were in town for a concert and decided to grab a bite at this restaurant,We got the house burger and the roaster chicken, the best food I’ve had in a long time! We will drive from Mississauga again just to eat there it’s really good!! Definitely worth to check out if you’re in town.

Dee M: Walked over here while my sister did her driving test & had some breakfast. The lady cooked right away on a grill, no precooked food waiting to be microwaved. Service was nice, she even brought the food to my table.

Caitlin Tydd: I love that everything is gluten free! It’s almost impossible to find a restaurant that is strictly gluten free, and knowing that I can enjoy everything on the menu without worrying about getting sick, makes it a more enjoyable experience! Will definitely be back.
Meadowdoe W: My go to place when I don’t pack a lunch for work. It is so filling and healthy and is ready quickly. I never order ahead and am in and out in less than 10 mins when I show up on my lunch break. I usually get the Afro samurai, but I could literally eat an entire container of just the crab salad it is so good. I was so pumped they opened a location downtown since it’s closer to me.

My mom had the Nacho Libre and of course we had to share, it was so yummy!! The rice was cooked to perfection. It was so good I had to ask them what brand they use. Needless to say, mine doesn't come close to being as good as theirs. My hubby had their chaka khan bowl and it did not disappoint; everything was fresh and delicious. I was a little nervous about my 2 kids, who had never eaten poke before. They also chose BYOB with chicken as their protein, carrots, corn, cucumber and they loved it as well. If you have a chance to go to Poke Co, please do, I highly recommend it. I wish we had this same restaurant close to where I live, I would go there at least 2x per week.Kid-friendliness: Kids can pick their ingredients so it's sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters.

The restaurant is definitely old and could use some love as it looks worn down but the sandwiches were delicious. The roast beef had so much flavour and not sloppy at all. The chicken sandwich was perfectly fried and juicy. The gravy is a must! Make sure u order some with the fries. Definitely a must try if you are in the mood for some comfort food. Super friendly staff and large parking

Michele Braun: Kudos to Aaron at The Diplomat Friday May 12, 2023. We arrived with a reservation that I had made in error for the incorrect day. The restaurant was currently closed for a movie shoot. Aaron took it upon himself to walk us over to The French and secure us a table. He was very friendly and professional but most of all helpful. We had an amazing meal at The French and a lovely evening. Amazing customer service, staff and food. Highly recommend both establishments!

It’s very hard to find a place she enjoys, and even harder to find somewhere she approves of the bread but their french stick was to die for!The food was absolutely mouthwatering. The new york strip was full of flavour & juice and cooked perfectly.The staff was incredibly attentive and constantly refilling water. The inside is very well decorated and you’ll find there’s a common theme 😉Dietary restrictions: Accommodated my mothers gluten intolerance.

Clifford Quinn: This is a Favourite Place to dine in Hamilton, Ontario. We like to go with friends but my wife and I went out for my birthday, just us. Reservations are recommended. The meals here are consistently exceptional. Not open Mondays or Tuesdays. The wine and mixed drinks are reasonably priced. The Onion Soup and Shrimp Cocktail are excellent.Parking: Parking lot at rear of restaurant but lots of street parking.
susan behich: What a wonderful meal! My husband and I usually frequent the chain steak restaurants but decided to dine somewhere local. We are so happy we did! The old school atmosphere was enjoyable. Our food was delectable. We ordered the filet and the surf and turf. Melt in your mouth! The French onion soup was well presented and delicious. For dessert we had the Apple strudel and the chocolate cake. 10:10 meal. Highly recommend.
