We had initially started working with another contractor that ultimately showed their true colours. Paradise Decks and Landscape Design to the rescue!We met with Adrian and from the moment we connected in person it became clear that we were now working with the best. He made some really fantastic suggestions to bring a contemporary design to our tired yard space. He also brought some unique ideas to the mix that helped shape a small backyard into an area that's spacious, functional, and beautiful!Throughout the process Adrian and his crew were patient, and great listeners. When we needed a bit of clarity, guidance, or a bit of education around things the lines of communication were clear, open, and timely! Christopher Bye: We contacted Adrian after viewing one of his project videos on the internet. We had previously contacted some other outdoor project companies, but they tended to be quite limited in their scope. That is, one would do decks, but not stonework. Another would do landscaping, but not decks or stonework. Paradise Decks was the first company we talked to that was able to design an entire, cohesive backyard space - deck, patio stonework, outdoor kitchen construction, electrical, landscaping / gardening - you name it. And the key aspect for us was Design. Our project was Adrian's vision, and we could not be happier with every aspect of it. Everything from the layout of the deck, counters, stonework, patio, gardens - right down to the lighting - is essentially the first design that Adrian proposed to us. He has a tremendous vision and keen design eye!The crew was prompt, tidy, and polite. The workmanship is impeccable. Adrian was always available to discuss aspects of the project as it proceeded - communication was excellent and on par with other superior contractors we have dealt with for other projects.As stated above - we could not be happier with the final outcome. We feel like we've gained an entire new living space, and with the provision of heaters in the project, we get a surprising amount of use in the shoulder seasons. Now that the summer has come, we have dropped the retractable screens and have refuge from the bugs! We love spending time and entertaining in the space at all hours! I suppose the best conclusion to this review is that we would 100% engage Adrian and Paradise Decks again.

Diane Williams: My neighbour installed an elaborate deck last summer and had nothing but good things to say about the company they used, Paradise Decks. So when I spotted one of their crew members on our street one day, I approached him to inquire about getting a quote to replace our old, falling apart, too-small deck. The young man was so polite, and helpful, I was immediately impressed. He clearly liked working for this company.I was put in touch with the owner, Adrian, who was super responsive and efficient in getting us a design. He gave us several options for many of the elements which put us in control of the amount we wanted to spend. It was a two story design and we chose to waterproof it so we could create a seating area underneath. We finished the ceiling in cedar which was a little pricey but so worth it…it’s beautiful! The railing is glass and looks great. Unfortunately one of the pieces of glass was delivered with a small chip in it but Adrian’s team ordered a new one and it has now been replaced. Every project has it’s little issues, but the key is how the team deals with them, and in our experience Paradise Decks is top notch.The install team, led by Patrick, was excellent. It was a pleasure to have them on our property.I would highly recommend Paradise Decks to anyone who wants an excellent quality project done with no headaches! Carlo: and the grading was very extreme, but it offered us a great walk out basement. The challenge started with the steps that would be required from the side of the home, because of the steep grading. My wife and I also wanted everything completed by the end of August for a significant family event. Finally, we required a permit because of the design of the deck which was so unique.The day finally came to start the work and we met Mark and his team, who were going to build the stone steps along the house, the stone deck on the ground level and the landscaping. He and his team were incredible, they cleaned up after themselves everyday, the work was impeccable and stunning.We now move on to the construction of the composite deck with it's beautiful stairs, glass railings and the under roof deck ceiling that keeps the area dry. Again, the team was professional, the work detailed to the most finite points, and they were clean. When the work was finished we couldn't have been happier they not only met our expectations, but exceeded them.The day of the wedding
Patti IDENOUYE: Adrian and his team installed my deck and pergola 3 years ago, doing an absolutely great job! I recently experienced some problems with the LED lights on the pergola and called Adrian for his advice. I had an outdoor event happening so this was an " out if the blue", totally unscheduled request. He sent Pat out to have a look and after the required parts were delivered, the problem was resolved for the event. Simon Irving: Adrian was most helpful and creative. The replacement deck had to accommodate a new hot tub, which was very successfully done. At the suggestion of one of his skilled crew, a new pergola was erected in a separate location. A replacement lower deck was constructed with proper foundations, plus a handrail beside the steps down to that level.All the work was completed to a high standard, in a timely fashion and with pleasant relations with the crew - all good guys! While Paradise may not have been the lowest price, they certainly showed why in the knowledge, respect and ability to work with us on selecting options and design tweaks to fit our budget and expectations. Verbally, I have recommended PD to several of our close friends and neighbours, now I extend publically that Paradise decks delivers quality and precise worksmanship! The constructors on site were quick, very clean and friendly. It was a pleasure to have them complete our paradise at home in which we intend to use heavily during COVID times. Randy Haveman: Dicam poured a concrete pad for our new front steps, which we had them install. In addition we had them re-grade our walkway to bring the grade up to the new steps and then re-lay the paver stones. Mike and Claudia Cress: While building our lakefront home on a piece of the Canadian shield, it became obvious that we would have to overcome some serious elevation changes with major backfilling, granite slab stairs and retaining walls/boulders. Henry Hobbs: Lucas and his team did a major landscape job for us in Summer 2021. It involved demo of old wooden retaining wall, re-routing drainage away from house, building stone wall, walkway, front door step, steps to back of house, resodding of front garden, planting and full lighting install in walls, steps, and walkways. Basically, a pretty big project.Lucas was excellent to work with throughout the different phases:- Upfront design discussions and scoping- Project planning and pricing- Project execution- Post install serviceThis was our first time going through this type of project and we appreciated Lucas' patience and input throughout. Nancy Pilzecker: Lucas and his crew are friendly and very professional. Lucas gives one on one attention and shows you many options with photos to help you decide on the scope of work you would like implemented. In our situation, we were putting our Oakville home on the market last March 2020 and needed the front porch steps to be repaired. We need to create two equal steps rather than one high step. Removal of the old interlocking stone and releveling was also required before the steps could be built in place on top of the stone. The original step that was in place was approximately 10 inches in height and a safety hazard.With Lucas we decided to replace the one stone step with two equal 6 inch concrete slab steps. A far less expensive option than stone yet these grey steps looked just like beautiful stone steps. His foreman was also able to make the old stones along the walkway look like new ones once they releveled them and placed them back intricately. An extra bag of Polymer sand was also left for us to use in the Spring if it was needed.We called Lucas with minimal time constraints and he was able to help us out. The finished product was just beautiful and our only regret was that we didn’t call Lucas years before so we had more time to enjoy and use them.As the Company states, it works with you from design to completion and with every aspect of your vision and your landscaping needs. Tony Schafer: An armour stone retaining wall was improperly installed 7 years ago. I obtained 3 quotes to rebuild. All In One was not the lowest bid but the owner was very professional in assessing and explaining the problem and what he would do to fix it. Scuba Core: The guys did awesome work removing my under turf roots to complete this repair and return the backyard to supreme condition again. I'm very impressed how focused they were in these extremely hot conditions. 4 Paws Tree House Boarding and Daycare: It's been two weeks with the new turf. They installed just over 3200sqft in a single day! The drainage they installed works amazingly. In the past, the 5 days of rain we had last week would've meant a puddle covering 20% of the space for about 3-4 days after the rain stopped. Now, there were no puddles at all and we could use the grass within hours after the rain. So far, all the dogs love it and seem more energetic and playful when they're on it. Any "soft poop" spots rinse away easily with a quick spray from the hose. Lizbeth Jordan: Hired AGL to replace 2' x 2' pavers, approximately 750 square feet, around planting beds and our large inground pool. Paul & the crew worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after the job was done. They cut down some pavers and leveled them perfectly to create a landing pad for our stairs. We were again thrilled with the service we received not only from the workers that did the installation but also the customer service we received at the time of making the final payment. The crew was exceptional. They went above and beyond and even brought in extra materials during their work day to install grass on a small section that we forgot to communicate that we wanted grass installed on. Normal protocol would've been to contact the office, make the payment for the additional square footage and be put on a wait list for the installation however the person in charge of the crew did all the foot work for us and made it happen on the same day. Wow! The quality of the turf is second to none and our Daycare dogs got to play on it this week for the first time and loved it. stephanie brundl: AGL took it upon themselves to come back in a few days and adjust the stairs for us. What company does that these days? We love the look of the backyard. It doesn’t look super fake like the artificial grass in the past. It’s lush and vibrant. Our dogs love it too and spend the day just lying on the grass. Spotting and cleaning up their “business” is a breeze, any messes are just picked up and hosed down. No more muddy paws and no more cutting the lawn! It might take a bit of time as they are very busy but it’s worth the wait, the job was done in 2 days by a large crew and we are thrilled with the results. Love love love it.Service:Lawn landscaping
