4worldlovers: The instructions could use a little quality checking, but I was able to make it through, or at least fake it until I make it. The main issues with instructions occur with: -abbreviations not matching that of the key (which could cause confusion when it comes to decreases and double crochets) -instructions being hard to follow, and possibly incomplete when it came to the beak, feet, and red head coloration Because I did not have the right colored yarn with me at the time, I decided to make a sandhill crane instead of a whooping crane. Only slight variations to instructions given. Thank you for providing this pattern! It's nice to see an endangered animal such as this in crochet form!

Mary was so lovely to deal with my friend’s son loves his toy. Due to my own lack of planning and delivery delays across the board in December, this adorable guy was going to arrive at my friend’s place late. Mary offered to refund or give me a small gift. I suggested she donate locally if she wanted to but it was on me. She topped up her donations to her local charities. I also appreciated that the materials were sourced from North America. Thanks, Mary, and keep up the good work.

Sabrina Sondhi: Great store! Went with two friends -- they're both experienced knitters, I'm a novice -- and we all left satisfied. The staff person there was really helpful and gave me good advice about the types of yarn I was considering. I also bought a lovely handmade wooden darning mushroom.Note that there is a small friendly dog roaming free in the store, but they will leash her if you don't want her near you while you're shopping.
Mary (MortgageMary): Going to Handknit is like going to visit a family member. Feel welcome, and such a great selection of yarns, books and accessories. Love it! Recently have updated the shop with amigarumi books and yarns too! SO pretty! They now have the cutest 4-legged greeter named Dingo. You should definitely go and meet her!
Elizabeth Fleming: A great place for all things knitting + any classes you might need. And they have someone who makes wooden accessories like a darning “mushroom” for repairing socks.
Kim Talbot: I love this store! Beautiful, high quality yarns that are not available elsewhere locally, top quality Chaiogoo knitting needles, & very knowledgeable staff. Today, Tracy helped me correct a knitting error that saved me from ripping out a week's worth of work. Grateful beyond words! ♥️

Kate: Massive yarn store loaded with commercial and indie yarns, notions and accessories. This shop almost always has some sort of wonderful sale going on - worthwhile to keep an eye on their social media! The staff are friendly, the space is neat and tidy and easy to navigate. Loads of samples and a excellent sized studio space at the back!Parking is nearby - both free and paid. The shop is accessible and the staff are helpful and personable. Definitely worth a peek if you’re in the area!

Diane Mathieson: It' s always hard finding the right fabric for a project and even more so doing it online, but this store made it so much easier. Their site is so user friendly, and easy to navigate. They had an amazing selection of colours and textures. I found a beautiful piece of fabric, and they delivered it very fast. I will definitely shop on their site again!

Luckily within a week they got the fabric in!They also helped me choose and measure out fabric for two veils: finger-tip and cathedral length.This store is amazing and I love my wedding dress. It turned out perfectly and I am so grateful for their help in the designing process.

I was greeted and directed to fabrics suitable for my project. I bought a small piece of the recommended fabric to try at home.It was perfect. On returning the same gentleman helped me make a decision on a coordinating fabric. The chairs are done and I'm so happy with the result! I would highly recommend this store on Ottawa street.

Chiquita Terita: Incredibly well-stocked yarn shop in a charming location. Julie is very helpful and friendly, and the store is full of her beautiful knits that showcase the yarns she stocks. Great website too. My first of many visits!
