Rose Arden Bed & Breakfast: what do users think?

Kathryn Burtch: Hostess Gwen went above and beyond ❣️ When we had an early flight the next morning, without asking she prepared two bagged lunches and kept them in the fridge so we could grab them and go at 4 am. We stayed a total of three nights, very quaint, beautiful decor, sparkling clean room each day, a fantastic view of the city. Gwen accommodated us when we arrived back in town at 2 a.m. Then upon our final anticipated long drive home she offered us some muffins to go.Gwen has a heart of gold and is extremely personable. I believe it was her husband who made the most delicious recipes for the full breakfast and the presentation was like artwork, so beautiful ❣️

Carol Scott: , the breakfast is delicious, and the hosts are great. There's so much obvious love put into running this B&B. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Hamilton.Nearby activities: Quick drive to the FirstOntario Centre

Natasha Onley: Lovely stay at the Rose Arden! The host Gwen is very kind and hospitable! Delicious home-cooked breakfast and beautiful views. Thanks again for a wonderful stay 😊

Meaghan Edwards: -- came to the rescue.Right away, Ken and Gwen made me feel welcome, to the point where it felt like a second home to me. Breakfast was amazing; the first morning I spent here, I had French Toast and potatoes, the second day, eggs, the third day, scrumptious strawberry pancakes; all amazing and left me feeling full for quite a while, and each meal in a restaurant would have been at least $15 dollars. They were very, very accommodating, I don't eat poultry/beef/pork and they had no problem substituting ingredients. The hosts were also vey accommodating when I accidentally left behind some items -- if you need something, they will help you out right away.I stayed in the Edwardian room and its name was well suited, decorated to what you might find in Edwardian times. I had a nice view of the walking trail from where I was and overlooking part of the escarpment. Bed was comfy and I fell asleep to the sounds of crickets and woke up to hear the birds and cicadas. Though I didn't spend too much time watching TV, Netflix was a fun bonus.I spent a great amount of time in the sunroom where tea and coffee was available at all times, plus a microwave to heat up anything and a spectacular view of the lower city. There, I spent several hours just reading, having tea, having some meals, doing some photography, watching some live curling from my laptop and phone

Rick Evans: We stayed at the Rose Arden for 4 days in Sept/21. We were pampered and enjoyed a quiet, comfortable stay: we needed to wind down after a hectic move. Gwen and Ken are absolutely the best hosts! Breakfast was "to live for"! Thanks to you both for a memorable and wonderful stay! We HIGHLY recommend the Rose Arden.Rick &Cathy Evans

Brent: Excellent views of the lower city. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. A lovely old house in a quiet neighbourhood.

Anna Thomas: I needed a room last minute and Gwen and Ken were able to accommodate me. I was given a delicious lunch to take as I was going to be leaving before breakfast was served the next day. The room was very comfortable with its own en suite bathroom and tv. I loved the upper enclosed porch which offered a gorgeous view of the city, a microwave, mini fridge and Keurig. Gwen recommended a great Lebanese restaurant down the street where I met friends and had a wonderful meal. House is steps away from the Bruce Trail also! I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place to stay in Hamilton.

Tony Sommerdyk: Great place. Wonderful view from the top of the mountain. Excellent beds. Superb breakfast. We were treated like royalty.

Rebecca Wong: Super breakfast! Nice couple!

John King: Great B & B ,nice view of the city overlooking from the brow.

Linda N: Excellent location -the perfect place to stay if you need to be near the hospital. The home is lovely, warm and very clean with a great view of the city. The owners are very kind and thoughtful; they go above and beyond to make your visit and stay a very comfortable one. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Jacob Brown: Wonderful place in the city. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Good service, delicious breakfast and nice staff.

Derek Lanoue: Excellent place to stay. Quiet and warm. Very welcoming. I was able to get a lunch every day as I left before breakfast which was outstanding. I would highly recommend for anyone staying in the city working at either hospital.
