Neala Ciancone: I posted in a FB group looking for the best Dive bar in Hamilton and got some great suggestions. To be clear, I don’t say Dive maliciously, I’ve worked them. I love them. I truly prefer them to the fancy/trendy bars. But you have to find the right one. And the bar was set pretty high last night with Ed’s. The wings/poutine deal was awesome. The fries were CRISPY! I’ve seriously never had a poutine that wasn’t a soggy mess before. And the wings were perfect. It’s a small menu but the man knows how to cook.But the best part, even better than the food and reasonably priced booze was the staff. The owner Scott and bartender Sarah were super friendly without being overbearing, and you could tell they truly cared about every customer. Ed’s is a hidden gem and Scott deserves to see that place packed.
