Sarah Lowenstein: A great value for the $! We stayed here one night - rooms are spacious and clean, it felt more like a small studio apartment. Love the front porch, ease of parking and beautiful landscaping. The pool was refreshing and the views from the main clubhouse 2nd story are breathtaking.It was also really special staying on the grounds of the winery as we could walk by the vineyards and easily walk to our tasting. We did dine at the Old 290 Brewery & Restaurant as well, and while our service and the beer was really good, we weren't very impressed by the food.However, everyone at this resort & spa was friendly, helpful and warm. It truly felt like a pleasant reset in the hill country. Thank you!

The staff is quite knowledgeable and engaging and ready to help guide you and answer your questions. Everything on the menu is worth your tasting time, plus the grounds are a great place to just sip, and soak in the Hill Country Zen. Cheers!

We visited the wine tasting and had the best time with Becky who did our wine tasting. Had a tour of the brewery which was amazing. Waiter David at the restaurant was awesome. Wilber Chan: If you're looking for a great winery experience, look no further than Carter Creek Winery! The environment is stunning, and the room is immaculate. There are tons of fun activities to participate in, and the wine and beer selections are both fantastic. Plus, Laura, the guest service supervisor, is incredibly helpful and provides top-notch service. Highly recommended!

Alex Zetune: The good:The propriety is in a very pleasant spot. The villa was spotless clean and comfortable. The garden and walkways were very well maintained with great views.Attention to details.Their restaurant had live country music at the time of our stay. That was also good.The bad:The food was disappointing. We order a flatbread and the peach alba as a desert. Both was behind expectations. Nothing special for such a great location.The ugly:The main problem to me was the quality of the wine. All options available are blend wines which is not exactly the way to go if you enjoy wines, but we took the chance and paid 40 for a bottle of their recommendation wine and end up left it behind so bad it was. We asked if we could bring a wine and it was not allowed. Unless inside your own roomWe look into their wine tasting room and learned that all their wines are blend. I honestly don’t get it. After inquiring they said that was the option of the winery. I leaned too that some of the wineries locally offer pure wines showing the quality of the particular grape. That was the core reason for losing a star. I would not recommend trying the wines at this place.
Ivan Watts: Food & drinks: We had liked the food and drink options after our last visit to Carter Creek so much that we decided to.come back with the kids this time. We liked thr live music playing, giving us a nice back drop to enjoy our beer and wine with. The kids had a great big venue to run around and play in while we were able to relax. The food was great, so many options to choose from culinarily, and best of all they had both beer and wine to satisfy both my wife and I. I like their special brown ale the most, and my wife loved their sangria.
Daniel Hawbaker: Great place to stay for a weekend getaway! The room was great, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.We had Randy help us when we did our wine tasting. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the different wines and helping us find what we liked best.There was great live music and a wonderful outdoor area to sit and listen to the music.Food was great and the wait staff was very well trained and were perfect on timing between appetizers and main entrées.At the spa we got massages from Patty. She was outstanding! Very professional and finding the best way to help relieve stress and relax our muscles! Gulcin was a super friendly spa director and made sure we were well taken care of.An absolutely great weekend getaway! We will be coming back! We are Carter Creek's newest wine club members!
Larissa Leal: for a mini getaway I recommend staying here. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was so clean and very spacious. The pool and hot tub were maintained well. The restaurant provided a 5 star dining experience. Adam was our server & took great care of us. Tomas was the concierge & was super helpful & all smiles as soon as we walked in. Now Ms. Sara was the one who booked our stay. She is the sweetest, most knowledgeable person on the property. She definitely had all the answers to our questions. Everyone was so amazing to us. Thank you for making our mini getaway memorable. We will be back soon.
Lise Lundgård: Great hotel, nice location and friendly staff. Nice pool and outdoor area with flowers and plants. The indoor restaurant wasn’t all that, and the food wasn’t great. But very nice outdoor seating area outside the restaurant. All in all a great experience!

We also had them open for a late night snack, sliders and poutine. The guests LOVED it! It poured rain which pushed our entire timeline back, and they rolled with it and still executed perfectly. Layal and the rest of the team were so lovely and so attentive. Our guests also knew the bartender, Sam, by name by the end of the night. Lorraine Glenn: We attended a beautiful wedding at the Cotton Factory in Hamilton, ON, Saturday May 6th, 2023.The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken and it was amazing!! The rest of the people at my table had steak and they all said it was the best steak they’ve ever had!! We had no idea that the food had been prepared in a food truck that was parked three floors down, in the back parking lot!!! The servers were very pleasant and we later enjoyed a little chat with Jonny himself, inside the freight elevator. We all praised him for the awesome meal and thanked him for being so gracious with us! They took our event from a backyard gathering to a luxurious 5 star affair.Our theme was tiki / Luau for our engagement party and the team went out of their way to make a CUSTOM menu for my fiancé and I and our 150 guests.The food was to die for. I have an aunt and uncle who have travelled the world eating at the best restaurants each country has and they told me the crab cakes were the best they’ve ever had. There was not a crumb left.Fig & Lemon nailed every aspect of the event. From concept to clean up. The food was delivered hot and on time and the few left overs there was stayed hot for almost 24 hours.We as a family will be hiring Fig & Lemon for all future events.

Tara Rocchetti: When looking for caterers for our wedding, we were honestly surprised to find how long it took for most places to respond to us and provide us quotes for their services. Fig and Lemon were the exception to this. They had amazing communication through the chaos of our pandemic wedding planning process from day one. They were also great at adapting on the fly as we had to change the time and location of our wedding reception. Day of, the servers were all very friendly and helpful and our guests all commented on this afterwards. Shelley Rowe: Zarkys is a staple in Hamilton!They've done some renovations and their produce looks way better than before. The baked goods are all incredible. Zarkys is so great for pre-made meals that you can easily throw in the oven and ready to go. Katey Townshend: I've been living in the neighbourhood for a couple years but only recently started going to Dora's. The food is SO good, and the sandwiches are stuffed full. Great prices + quality ingredients. Their lemonade + brownies are awesome too. I will definitely be popping back in!

Mary-Lee and her team were patient and were able to meet the demands of our event. They delivered the food exactly on time and gave clear directions for us.Our guests LOVED the food. Portions were very generous. We had a ton of leftovers that we were able to give to our friends at Living Rock. No food was wasted. Everyone was talking about the chicken and potatoes. No one forgets a delicious meal!I look forward to working with them in the near future.

Great price point for what they're offering unlike some other fancy shops on the street which are just bells and whistles with no substance. Cute and homey shop decorated with family pictures. we need to support neighborhood business like this before gentrification runs them out of business. we will be visiting regularly to make sure places like this keeps their space in this city. If you're shopping around, please give them a try!

As soon as I talked to Mary, my stress began to melt away, as she was so kind, empathetic, and professional, and thank goodness, she had an opening that day and was able to be our caterer.Not only was Dora's amazing to work with before the wedding, but they were absolutely incredible on our day. Our guests have told us time and time again how good the food was, and how attentive and professional the caterers were. We are so glad Dora's Delicatessen and Catering were there to make our wedding day as beautiful and stress free as it was. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a caterer!

jan griese: Chef Erica’s Lebanese Meza class was extremely entertaining and informative at the same time. I took the option of picking up the ingredients from her the day before. Everything was fresh and well organized and labeled. We received the recipes and a list of utensils that we would need. It was a super fast paced course with tons of tips and lots of laughs. I have some experience cooking in restaurants but I still learned all kinds of knife skills and tips about spices and seasonings. I really enjoyed how while we were waiting for everyone to catch up she entertained us with interesting stories about her family and background. I would highly recommend her classes to both novice and cooks with some experience!
Patty Thachuk: Lebanese Online Cooking Class was amazing. Thanks to Chef Erica we can now cook authentic Lebanese food. This was our first class with Erica and she is very personable and patient. We had to hustle to get through all the menu items but still had time for a little beverage while following along. Erica was very approachable when the class was finished as we unfortunately lost our power for the last 20 minutes of the class but completed our meal with Erica’s help.
Jenn Kavanagh: Chef Erica confidently led us through a whirlwind 2 hour online cooking class, where we whipped up many incredible dishes that were super flavourful and delicious! I appreciated the clear communication leading up to the class, the organization of the ingredients and recipes, and of course, having an amazing feast at the end of it all. I highly recommend any experience that Blend Catering has to offer!

Greta Ladanyi: I've had the pleasure of taking 3 of Erica's virtual cooking classes so far: An Indian Affair, Oh My Thai and Brunch Elevated! Erica does an amazing job of teaching you about the cuisine you are cooking as well as about different skills in the kitchen. Whether you're more experienced in the kitchen, or a newbie, like me, you will learn something new during these classes. Since taking her classes I now know how to properly hold a knife and chop, albeit slowly. Erica's passion for cooking and food comes out through every part of her class, from the moment she sends you the ingredients list and all throughout the class: from the prep, to the cooking and the plating. I can't wait to take her classes in person and highly recommend others take them as well.

The classes were both so much fun!Erica is a great person with such an amazing personality, and she puts all that into her work with you over the two hour cooking class! She talks so passionately about all the ingredients and teaches you about all the small things that go into making a beautiful and delicious dish. The classes are not just for beginners. I already had experience with cooking and really enjoy it, and learning about new foods/techniques etc. She made the whole experience really informative and fun! The food came out amazing for both of the classes, these will definitely be recipes I will cook again!I'm excited to take more of her classes in the future, and hopefully one day in person!

Lindsey Mrav: We’ve worked with Erica multiple times throughout the last few years and every experience has been beyond exceptional. Erica has catered events at our venue and the quality of her food and service is top notch. We've also recently hired Erica to do a virtual cooking class for our 250 members and it was a huge success. She designed a delicious 3-course menu with a full shopping list, and hosted a virtual cooking class so that our members could follow along at home. The cooking class was incredible, and our participants loved it. Erica was equally entertaining and informative, and her infectious personality and passion for food is one of a kind!

Having a small wedding during covid meant adjustments had to be made and I believe that she went above and beyond to make it seem as though it was prepared right then for us. The meals were dropped off each day. Every container was clearly labelled, serving dishes provided and labeled and reheating/serving instructions provided. I almost felt like I was an amazing cook! 😂I tried everything she prepared and loved it all. I am trying to figure out another event to have her cater it but in the meantime the next best thing will be to try the cooking classes! caperjim: I'll be honest, I didn't like the food when we went for our trial meal at their Hamilton shop, so I wasn't very excited about the meal leading up to our wedding.We had City Farm do our wedding at Brantview Apple and Cider and, to my surprise, I very much enjoyed the meal. At their home shop I found the potatoes unappetizing and the sauce they had on the meat to not taste very good at all.For the actual wedding day, the food was amazing and I was blown away. I ended up having 3 of their salads because the staff member noticed, unasked, that I was enjoying the salad and noticed that a couple of my guests weren't eating theirs. I kept finishing them and she kept showing up with another one. I didn't hear a word of complaint from our guests about their meal or the service.My world is all about details and extra effort and I was very happy with the attention to detail and the attentiveness of the staff.I'm not a me first kind of guy, and I don't know who made them aware that I was the groom, but they were very conscientious about making sure that my needs were met whether it be a drink refill or whatever else I needed.I would highly recommend.This next bit is only because I'm a bit of a recycling nut, but the one issue I did have is that all items could could have been recycled were just thrown out in the trash. I get it, it's extra work and handling and cost to take the extra step to make sure items are diverted from landfill. The venue itself is rural and I don't think they do much in the way of recycling household items so there were no facilities that I saw to do any recycling. Most people wouldn't care and it didn't take away from my enjoyment of their service but it crossed my mind.

Amanda was professional, knowledgeable, and accessible for any questions we had during from the initial inquiry stages right up to our final planning call.The food and service was amazing. The charcuterie/ antipasto boards were the most amazing creations we have ever seen! We had 180 guests and every steak was cooked to perfection, every plate hot once it reached the table. Our guests have raved to us about the food for the last few weeks and we were quick to recommend City Farm. We also hired them to take care of our bar and our two bartenders were a blast!They were kind enough to accommodate my husbands’ food allergy by creating him his own personal pizza for the late night snack which was a nice touch.Thank you Amanda & Scott for helping us to create such an amazing experience for our guests. Ms YYZ: We ordered from City Farm for our small Christmas gathering. The food was delicious, tasting both homemade and yet definitely elevated. They honoured the traditional flavours, used the best quality ingredients, great portion sizes., and provided it oven ready for a quick reheat. It was a bit more $ than I would normally pay for the homemade Xmas dinner ingredients, but doing the math and with the family time we got back, it was a win IMO, and I will do it again. Also… the vegan meal was really appreciated by our family vegetarian, who found it extremely tasty also. Also… they put out these orders during a blizzard and ice storm, so the commitment was amazing.
