Nejat Dannga: Kaleo Collectives founder Layna has done such an amazing job of building a community for single mothers to share, learn, and grow in a safe space. Whatever life reasons brought us to single parenthood, it's refreshing to know that we are not alone, and the Kaleo community aleviates the heaviness of 'single', allowing us to embrace 'motherhood'. This afternoonI attended a heartwarming, lovely, and thoughtful event at Londonderry Mall for mothers Day. Every part of the event hosted by Kaleo Collective was carefully thought out to give us mothers a chance to feel special, and that's exactly how I felt! The event had a large closed off area for children, in which they could craft up cards, and select gifts and present it alongside a beautiful bouquet of flowers, giving them the resources and opportunity to showcase their art and love for us. While they were working on their gift, I was able to enjoy refreshments and pick out a gift from a range of luxury brand makeupfrom Anastasia to Burberry and Gucci. We ended our experience at the photobooth and received a photo from the professional photographers that I will cherish! Thank you for your efforts and time!

And although I have a great support system, the network and connections I’ve gained through the Kaleo Family are invaluable.Kaleo is a community where Mamas can come together and feel fully accepted without judgement, bond though shared experiences and share knowledge and resources.In turn, we’re enabling each other, ourselves and our children.The kids not only see their Mamas learning and gaining self-efficiency and self-esteem, they also see us being powerfully vulnerable as we lean on each other for support. William: Great central location for probation offices, above the Alberta Works offices
J-me (Gia Marie): Has great resources such as 10 bus tickets a month, hygiene packages (not travel size but actual shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, toothbrush, they have housing programs, free clothing on certain days call and find out ahead of time, finical literacy program, record suspension program, beading workshops, ribbon skirt workshops.
