We very much enjoyed having Layla, Ed and their team a part of our wedding day! We got married at Pine and Pond and they were one of the only companies that would not only travel out there but also be able to fully customize the menu in any way we wanted! The staff they had at the wedding were so kind and hard working. The initial tasting was a nice perk too as many caterers we talked to didn't offer this. The only hiccup we had was some of our tasting notes were lost with the food details because of a computer malfunction (life happens) but Layla went over everything to make sure it as correct and we were on the same page and it didn't end up impacting the big day at all. Thank you Layla and team!

We hired Layla and Ed to do the catering and bartending for our wedding in September 2022. All I can say is thank god we chose them. Layla is such a beast. I honestly felt like she helped plan so many key details of the wedding - timelines, set up, table arrangements…etc. Being so versed and experienced in the wedding industry, she had great suggestions and asked me tons of questions about details I hadn’t even considered - but were important. She was by far our most responsive and involved vendor and was that way from the moment we hired her in December 2021. The food was well worth the price…which was reasonable to start with, and Layla truly worked with our budget and made adjustments to fit in with what we wanted to spend, while not sacrificing quality or experience. The food was simply outstanding and our guests were thrilled. We got so many comments from family and friends about Layla and her staff’s service…especially from people with dietary restrictions …who got basica...

Layla and Ed are a absolutely amazing people. They made my wife’s 50th birthday surprise party 100x better. The food was amazing. The selection and quality of the food was second to none. Everyone who was there commented on how great the food was. And Layla and Ed are just great people, personable and honest. I would definitely recommend Primo Catering, but only if you want the best.

Since opening in 2002, Meridian has been one of the busiest banquet facilities in Edmonton. Catering everything in-house, our chefs provide excellent meals for large groups from our Western or Eastern menus.


Our beautiful, modern room features a bar, coat check, large washrooms, a green room/bride room, and plenty of space for your guests. Our exquisite rooms offer high ceilings, warm chandelier lighting, and elegant interiors that will allow you to transform the space into your own grand vision!

The space can be subdivided into two smaller spaces for up to 150 guests in the South room, or up to 450 guests in the North room.
