4worldlovers: Our family is a vibrant one, finding fellowship in a variety of activities. Even in a virtual world, the Strathearn community finds ways to connect. In addition to annual and seasonal events, our Book Club and Christian Conversations are still going strong, and we stay connected to the larger church through community initiatives and outreach.

Walter Farquharson and Richard Hall have written a hymn, addressing the Ukraine invasion: "I Will Sing To Our God". Walter has written new lyrics for the music, composed in 1985 by Richard. The biblical inspiration is Exodus 15, The Song of Moses & Miriam. The current inspiration is Russia's invasion of Ukraine. As the situation in Ukraine is timely, they are sending the hymn with the invitation to use and copy freely if it is useful. They are not seeking royalties. Please feel free to forward it to anyone who might have use for it.

The invasion of Ukraine is costing precious lives and creating a humanitarian crisis as people flee to safety. The United Church of Canada has joined with partners who witness and work for peace and justice in the world, by issuing a statement condemning the invasion of Ukraine. Reflection on Dan Green's legacy of community service and devotion to the church, our donations collectively can support ongoing Mission and Outreach initiatives at Strathearn United Church. Funds from this year's campaign will be used to support our next Bissell Centre lunch ,Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS), E4C Edmonton school lunch programs, and the Zebra Child Protection Centre.

Admission is PWYW. Bring a lawn chair and a friend. In case of inclement weather we move inside. All concerts start at 7:00 pm with the exception of the Northern Horn Quartet which starts at 2:00 pm.

Living this question we appreciate that our neighbours, like the members of our congregation, are comprised of people of different ages, nationalities, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, physical, mental and emotional abilities, family structures, faith backgrounds, and socio-economic circumstances.

The entrance is a ground level large glass door located on the west side of the building on 123 st. Staff will be there to assist you in entering the building.


Free street parking is located along 123 St and 102 ave. Additional free parking is located in the R-W parking lot north of the building (Limited Space) The church parking lot can be accessed through an alley on the east side of the church either from 102 Ave or 103 Ave.


This icon will be found on events happening in our Sanctuary, where we have these systems installed.


We have an accessible elevator; located in the lobby near the hall. To access this elevator enter R-W using the ground level large glass door located on the west side of the building on 123 st.

We have large print versions of our Worship bulletins and other printed media available.


People can breast feed anywhere in the building. Should they choose, there is a private nursing space in the Millson Room.

Service animals are welcome anywhere in the church, except where food is prepared.

We commit to make R-W a comfortable space for people with cognitive impairment, this includes people with Alzheimer’s disease, senility or dementia, intellectual and learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism or autism-spectrum disorders.

There's wheelchair access and even an elevator. Ample space in the parking lot.

I pick up from there for food bank. The people there are wonderful, so helpful.
