Sawmill West Edmonton: what do users think?

Yvon Blanchette: My main complaint is the 20% gratuity added without our consent! In our case, the server didn’t earn it. We were in a family gathering and we hardly saw the server checking if we needed anything. He was obviously busy somewhere else!. The food get a low pass, the ribs were under cooked and the meat was not separating easily from the bones. The Rib sauce was overly sweet.. diabetic stay away. I ask for a bread buns and got a greasy slice of bread saturated in oil. High pricing doesn’t reflect the medium food prep quality.

ISvyd: + The best steaks in Alberta. The food is incredibly tasty.- Visitors in pyjamas.

Robert Norman: Prime Rib was great and vegetables were crunchy!

Christian Gomez: Food: 5/5

Ted halabi: I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Sawmill Restaurant and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff greeted me with a smile and made me feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the steaks. Wow! The quality of the steaks at the Sawmill is truly exceptional. Each bite was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It's clear that the chefs take great pride in their craft and use only the finest ingredients. Whether you prefer your steak rare or well-done, you won't be disappointed. But it's not just the steaks that make the Sawmill stand out. The service was top-notch. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were always there when I needed something, yet never intrusive. As someone who values great food and impeccable service, I can confidently say that the Sawmill Restaurant exceeded my expectations. It's the perfect place for a special occasion or a memorable night out. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.Thank you to the entire team at the Sawmill Restaurant for making my visit so enjoyable. I will definitely be back!

Ruth's Chris Steak House: what do users think?

Brad Anderson: Had the pleasure of taking my beautiful girl and her three children for dinner on Saturday, Aug. 17. Morgan was our server and was very proper, professional, and friendly. We ordered: caesar salads for everyone, the large seafood tower, the tomahawk ribeye, 16oz bone in tenderloin, mushrooms, asparagus, french fries, and the potatoes au gratin.Everything was exceptional, and the steaks were a beautiful medium rare and paired it with the Baker cabernet. The pacing of the meal was perfect, I do not like feeling rushed. For desserts, we shared the banana cream pie, key lime pie, cheesecake, and the creme brule, which were all great....that banana cream pie is exceptionally incredibleEverything was spot on.Thank you to all the staff, the nice gentlemen who filled our water, Morgan, and the kitchen for a memorable evening.

Debraj Dutta: I had an absolutely delightful experience celebrating my birthday with my wife at Ruth's. Everything was just perfect! I ordered a 16oz medium rare rib eye, and it was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour. The garlic bread we ordered was incredibly delicious, even though it may have been a tad bit oilier than expected. But who can resist indulging in some comforting and delectable garlic bread, right? 😄Our server, Tyler, truly added to the wonderful experience. His knowledge and warmth in service were commendable. Tyler recommended a local brew beer that had this delightful citrus note to it – a fantastic choice, as I thoroughly enjoyed the drink. As a delightful surprise, they treated me to a Crème Brûlée, which was an absolute treat and generously portioned enough to share between two. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our celebration even more special. From the delicious food to the attentive service, our time at Ruth's was truly memorable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to others, and my wife and I are already looking forward to returning for another fantastic dining experience. Thank you, Ruth's, for making my birthday celebration a remarkable one!

Wifes Hubby: Great food and excellent service from the staff. They made it a special anniversary dinnerParking: $17 for parking beside the restaurant

Dustin Weinbrecht: Ruth Chris is one my favorite steakhouses anywhere. This particular location is in downtown Edmonton. Great choice for a date night, and a phenomenal steak. Ambiance, service and food are all really good. Not cheap, but worth the cost imo. The lobster bisque phenomenal and the shrimp appetizer is excellent. That said, for a Ruth Chris the steak was not quiet as good as what I’m used to but still solid.

Kaitlyn M: Amazing food and service!! We came in with no reservation and we sat in the bar side which was really beautiful. It was busy and I believe it was actually the manager Jen?? who served us and she made us feel welcomed and took us through the menu and even bought us desert for my partner’s birthday! The food was unbelievable especially the lamb and the mac and cheese with lobster on top. I’m going to bring my mom for her birthday. A really cool experience here and I understand the hype.

Sheryl McGuire: 40 oz porterhouse and sweet potato casserole. We really appreciated that the steak stayed hot due to their unique methods of serving it. It was extremely tender. The casserole too was very delicious. Dessert was the Banana Cream Pie and it was awesome! We are glad to have been to Ruth Chris!!

Victor Sharkov: The steak was wonderful!A worthy place to spend an evening with friends in a relaxed atmosphere!

Stacy Marshall: Was a fabulous experience... the food was so delicious and the staff was efficient and friendly.Dietary restrictions: They make all fresh in their kitchen and can also make sure that nothing gets cross contaminated in the kitchen...

Shayla Skare: and all the wait staff was phenomenal. We ordered the tomahawk steak and it was delicious and the waitress wrapped the bone in a to go container so I can take it home to my dogs. I have 5 dogs and they've all had their share of it and after a month of having it, it still disappears then reappears making the dogs happy.

Normand's Restaurant: what do users think?

Ross Wright: This wonderful restaurant just keeps getting better with age. The front of house staff and the kitchen staff are incredible. The food is unbelievable, every time! And the namesake? Well Normand is an incredible restaurateur and his restaurant is a true gem!

Marla Bosse: Keep doin what you are doin Normands! See you again soon!

Brendan Eikeland: The food is ALWAYS top-notch ! The service is amazing... probably very easily the best place to eat in edmontonYou WILL NOT leave disappointed!Parking: It's normally pretty easy to find parking but when it's not .... ITS NOT

Melanie COULSON: and my parents had the escargot. Both were incredible, and the carpacio in particular paired very well with our wine. For an entree I had the wild game feature dish which included elk and boar. YUM! And for dessert I had the bananas flambee which was phenomenal. This was our first time here and it will certainly not be our last! There were so many delicious sounding entrees that I am eager to try. If you are planning a nice dinner you should visit Normand's!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for a gluten free diet!

Dale Hildebrand: We have been dining with Normand for 34 years. Recently he hosted grandpa’s 90th. He personally looked after 16 of us all night. Service and food were excellent. So rare to have such great personalized customer service. One of the best restaurants in Edmonton – a hidden gem – try them.

Highlevel Diner: what do users think?

Flairs Warss: Very friendly servers, the Spice Bird Chicken burger was delicious the portion size was very justifiable for the price the two chicken breasts made the dinner filling, with the house fries to go along with made the meal perfect. Loved the fish n chips as well.Parking: The parking across the diner is free and reserved only for the diner customers.

P Howard: This Diner has that perfect cute and classic feel but without any of the grime that usually comes along with most Diners. It's a beautiful little spot in the Garneau area that really helps complement the neighboorhood. For a Diner, I'd have to say this place likely has the most interesting menu in the city... And everything on it is beyond delicious! Though I can imagine picky and non adventurous eaters finding this menu too unique and not traditional enough. But that is the best thing about the food here, it's so yummy and interesting for a Diner! They even have their own artisan made house ketchup!Lastly, but most importantly, the service and staff are super sincerely friendly, efficient, and attentive. This place has become my favorite Diner in the city... it is hard for me to believe there can be a better Diner around here.I HIGHLY recommend checking this establishment out! 👍👍Parking: There is a free parking lot across the avenue from the Diner, but you HAVE to sign in your license plate # in a book within the entrance of the Diner.

Michelle Koch: Great spot for breakfast!

Manfred Schneider: Been going here for a couple of years. The breakfast is good and they are fast to get the food out to you. The price are very fair and it is very taaty. Would recommend 👍

Abhinav P: The ambiance at this café is lovely. Makes you feel like you're sitting in a classic diner and enjoying a fresh meal - which you are. Looks like a family & friends owned small business, and they are all very friendly. I got the killer omelette with Rye bread. Coffee is always getting topped up if you'd like as well. They don't accept credit card, so do bring debit or cash. I saw someone get the steak and eggs, and it looked like a massive meal for the price! I definitely recommend you check it out!

Route 99 Diner: what do users think?

Mr. Ijl: Classic dinner. Never change.

Hari Khalsa: Great diner grub with some twists, like the Greek burger which is delicious. The meat on the Ruben is so juicy and yum yum, worth ordering just for that. Lots of other selections from the classic diner era and some others, like pizza.Parking can be tight in the lot, great access from the neighborhood around. The memorabilia adorning the walls makes for good meal conversation, if not a bit distracting. Classic nostalgia which is less common in Canada, but when you lived along the old route 66 for years, this is familiar and homely.

Stephanie Pitre: Love this place!!

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.: what do users think?

Melissa Jensen: I didn't have high expectations for this restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised! My hubby and I had margaritas with the keepsake shaker, they tasted delicious. My son got the slushie with a keepsake cup and it was a show stopper! The projector in the bottom is very bright and fun for the kids. The service was good but was a little slow to start, which was odd because it wasn't that busy. But once we ordered food it came out quickly. We had the platter with fish, shrimp, and fish hush puppies. It all tasted really good and we each enjoyed our meals. A bit expensive but we did get a few extras and the food tasted great so it was worth it.

Zayde Vogler: was lovely to talk to definitely recommend.

Wilfred's: what do users think?

Gabriela Marchant: Excellent quality on servica & food

T M: Decent breakfast/brunch. Don't change the biscuit and egg's benedict sauce ya'll have, it's the best I've had thus far. 👌🏼 Cool if Wilfred's had weekly feature items to keep their menu exciting. Service was friendly, attentive, and prompt.

K Onclin: We'll be back - brunch looks great!

Kay Kusi: Cute little spot in the brewery district!I love the tasty biscuit incorporated into almost all of the breakfast items. I got the eggs Benedict. I didn't love the smashed hash browns but I seemed to get the crispy dregs. My friends had full smashed potatoes. The yuzu-palmer is also delicious!!Will definitely be back to try more!

Christyne Boyer: Such a great brunch place! They don't take reservations on the weekends, so show up a little early, especially if you have a larger group. All staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our waitress made sure to check in once each of my friends showed up to take their drink order. I don't drink coffee, but they have a full espresso bar and the lattes looked amazing. Highly recommend the Yuzu-Palmer! The food...omg the food. Probably one of THE best egg bennys ever and the smashed potato hasbrowns were amazing. Plus, you can get some Made by Marcus ice cream for dessert. You won't be disappointed here!

Jeff Hudson: The food has improved a lot over the years, but the kitchen is pretty slow

GRAVY - burgers and fries: what do users think?

Bobby B: Holy cow, this burger is tasty. Got the diner burger from gravy. It's a 4oz patty with a bed of lettuce, tomatoe, gravy and mayo.I thought the bed of lettuce was gonna be too much but it really absorbs the savory, salty taste of the gravy. Gravy is delicious, burger is super crisp. Excellent burger all around.Staff were very kind, your allowed to Doodle on the walls, so it's full of doodles which us really cool. They have merch and a ceramics section as well which just adds more personality to the restaraunt.

Kendall Woywitka: . Food is good - both burgers and hot dogs along with their sides. Cool owners, they are always available and attend well to your service needs. The walls have a marker available so you can write all over the place. Will continuously come back! Nice work on this spot.
