Talus Dome: what do users think?

Adam Warkentin: My wife left me because of the talus dome. The silvers, how they call to me. Every night, I pray to them. Begging for but an ounce of acknowledge from whatever God or goddess of beauty resides over them. Many times, I have cause great distress to those around me, for I scream and cry and laugh and point at the talus dome every time I see it. Much like a chimp, celebrating the murder of a rival troop member.I want ashes scattered over the talus dome.I miss my wife, but I'm sorry Sharon, the talus dome has my heart forever ❤️

Haley: Every time I drive on to the Whitemud I am full of hope for the future because I see the Talus balls. I don't even care that I could have owned a house for the price of this installation. For years to come, all those that experience the Talus balls will surely be enlightened and full of the relaxing nirvana we can all hope to once reach. When I'm old, senile, and no longer able to drive to experience this truly stunning installation, I will just scream.

Seth DeWitt: I love them. I wish it could’ve been me who got stuck in them.

Ian Bolt: Has emergency trap door!Unfortunately, it took a sort of hoax for us all to find out. A guy named Wakeem Coutoreille got stuck inside these balls. Getting him cut out by firemen earned him 15 seconds of fame, & a court date for Mischief. In a even more unfortunate turn of events, the whole thing overshadowed a story about a guy named Ken Courtoreille who was in the news for murdering a young girl. #StrangeStories #JustSaying#TalusBalls #MurderBall

Wasil Bachh: Amazing place to observe the sunrise and sunset.

Jeff G: Originally I was one of the angries that my tax money went into this. Now I think the amount of discussion the dome has sparked is amazing and hilarious. I’m proud of these ballz. They are unique and random. Fitting for Edmonton.

Nikk Pilip: Awesome

Antoine McMahon: Not gonna lie, I thought it was plane.

Daniel Blais: Pretty cool piece of artwork.Nice place to come and take some photos and enjoy a view of downtown Edmonton.

Sean Bliss: One of my favourite spots in the city to meet up with friends.

Nathan Kezar: This was erected in 1984 to celebrate the visit of Pope John Paul II. It was moved to its current location in 1998.The dove structure was designed and created by architectural consultant Eddie Williams.Little know fact that piror to 1971 that location was a landfill and had Edmonton's largest garbage incinerators. Was a landfill for roughly 40 years.

Lincoln Ho (YEGventures): The Dove was used for Mass during the 1984 visit of Pope John Paul II in Edmonton. It is now owned by the Catholic School Division and has been moved to public display on Connors Hill since 1988.

Ian C: Enjoyed the banksy/Warhol exhibit!

Kim: Nice facility but lacking in terms of volume, it's rather small and modest.Depends on the exhibits they have on display when you go and if your interest in them. It is currently Pop Art like Andy Warhol and Banksy and such. This was great and the galleries are clean and very cleanly laid out. It isn't huge in terms of volume as it seems most of it is on loan from a single private collector. The other galleries, especially the third floor video galleries are VERY avant garde and takes a particular mindset to interpret, which I do not possess, humbly speaking. The bottom floor exhibition was closed when I went so there wasn't too much to see.

jf paquette: Beautiful pieces of work to be seen, and the music gallery was interesting. 3 floors of beautiful art work. They were hosting the indigenous artists market, at the same time as my visit which in itself was interesting to see, all the traditional art and items they make.Definitely would go back, especially if the market is there again.

Kendelle Marr: Love the AGA! Recently saw the Pop Art exhibition with Warhol, Lichtenstein, Banksy, etc. Amazing! Plus, the architecture is wonderful.

Taruni Tyagi: The experience was different.... contemporary art is beautiful here...gallery is not as big as the art gallery of Ontario and has less of the traditional oil paintings etc.but is definitely a breath of fresh air with more current work on display... building architecture is intriguingVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Mali Rabinovich: Great exhibition from Warhol to Banksy!!! Love it a lot

Olena Oleksiuk: A wonderful place where you feel yourself like simple, relaxed and connected to our mother earth

BhavIn Patel: Beautiful park with the beautiful view of downtown Edmonton.

Kris Styles: Was pretty cool..

Misty Totman: If you aren't familiar with art or, especially, with Indigenous Art and Culture you can read the many signs that provide information and insight into the many absolutely amazing pieces in this park. You will find there is a strong connection to culture, values, and place. To be honest, even without reading the signs the art is enjoyable, beautiful, and welcoming. A spot I look forward to coming time and time again.

Ryan Sorensen: Great displays. Very accessible via car. Great views

L19htofmyL1fe: Beautiful park with some really nice indigenous artwork and beautiful views of the Walterdale Bridge and downtown Edmonton.

Lisa B: EDIT: came to watch YEG's fireworks? The northwest hill, with a view of the Waltedale, has the best views in town. Sadly, this is no longer a best kept secret, so GET THERE EARLY to enjoy! 😃

Lovely Jane Agbanay: Portrays different Indigenous artwork which is informative and meaningful. It’s a small park and better be careful if you have kids coz it’s near a busy road..

Gavin Cheng: Beautiful park. It features a number of beautiful and inspiring indigenous artwork. One of the art pieces was done by an inspiring friend and architect Tiffany Shaw-Collinge!

Mr. Goodness: Good to visit with family

小河马 little Hippo: Beautiful park with gorgeous view especially in the autumn. From the name of the park, you can tell that the park is related to indigenous people. There are some indigenous art works here where you can explore. Additionally it is a great place to check the skyline of Edmonton. Really relaxable and peaceful place. Worth visiting if you have time.

Manal Khairi: Love it

Vasyl Kyiovchyk: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure

Julaine Scott: Beautiful! The plants are gorgeous and the roses are amazing. You could spent half a day in the rose garden alone. I love the quiet and calm of the Japanese garden. We visited on music night and what a treat! The music and the flower together was super enjoyable.

Owen Pahkala: Absolutely fantasticVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Michael Ireland: Always a lovely stroll. Outside, the Skeeters we're pretty rough, but Muttart has no control over that 😂.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …

Jane S: Went on a wednesday which is adult night. There was entertainment outside as we enjoyed a bite too eat. Picked a night with beautiful weather. Price was fair as it was cheaper as 1 pyramid was under construction. Had a great evening and enjoyed the pyramids very much!! Lots too look at so suggest taking your time and sit on a bench. Look up, down and all around!

Bailey C: Just a classic part of Edmonton that is worth revisiting every few years. The cafe is really nice, and the exhibits are just a great way to relax and unwind. They also sell really cute plants and pots!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …

Rachel Sera: Great place to go visit and buy plants. Admission was a good price and staff were very friendly. The different exhibits are all very well put together with the plants labeled. Very nice place to go to experience nature not usually found in Edmonton!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Benita Borrowman: Beautiful! Lego display amazing! Lego was in the feature room when we were there.Definitely worth the visit!Beautiful park around the pyramids too, but it was rainy when were there so I can't say too much.

Kim: It's a cool place with 3 different climates and the associated plant cultures. The fourth pyramid is for featured events, which is Lego by NULAG when I went. It's a good experience and the place is very nicely kept. But it's a bit of a let down in terms of how small it is. It's got variety but it's so small that it is a let down and a bit dissapointing. You can literally spend less than 15 minutes here in total and that is taking time taking photos and observing things already. The Lego feature was a very nice one and I spent more time there admiring it. It IS worth going to, but just know it's small and something you can go through very quickly.

Rene McCallum: Was a very interesting beautiful place that's forsure! 4 pyramids with different types of climates and plant life and legos!. The tropical pyramid has a game you can play right when you enter of finding all the animals hiding while looking at all the plants.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …
