Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers: what do users think?

SkyHarDy: Thank you to the organization for the help it has given me. There are very good people working there. Thank you to my representative Dinara for the help she gave me, I am very grateful to her. Thank you to this organization and all the people who work in it.

Marek Miler: A center that will teach you how to write a resume, how to behave at an interview and many other useful things. They even offer specific jobs. Many additional courses and trainings. Curators help to solve all your problems. Everyone is very polite and friendly. They try to help in all available ways. I recommend it to everyone

Tetiana Lukashevych: . As newcomers to Edmonton, we had been caught up in the daily challenges and hadn't had much time to connect with the local community. However, we had positive experiences with the helpful and friendly specialists at EMCN.On June 29, we joined the Multicultural Neighborhood Block Party at the center, called "Meeting with Summer." It was a fun-filled event with great music and a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy. The children were especially thrilled with options like trampolines, soap bubbles, games, and creative opportunities. The adults also had a wonderful time, immersing themselves in the festivities. We were impressed by the opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds, share cultural traditions, and learn about the history and work of the center through the EMNC exhibition. The event fostered a sense of unity and friendship among attendees, momentarily diverting our attention from personal challenges and allowing us to fully embrace the joyful atmosphere. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors of the event and express our appreciation to Canada for welcoming and taking care of us all.

Marcelita Araya: I was very well treated and supported by my agent to do my Inmigration paper work

Maessa Yousef: Mrs. Elena Al-Youssef is very helpful and patient. I am grateful 🙏

Larisa Bosova: People are polite and friendly. Nice place for students and people who want to find a job.

Pride Centre of Edmonton: what do users think?

Debbie Dmytryshyn: I always loved coming here

Oliver Mills: Amazing place!! The pride centre has so many amazing staff, resources and activities for all to enjoy. While a bit hard to find, it's easily accessible with an elevator, and super sensory-friendly. They have everything from free laundry and clothing closet to a wonderful queer library. Would highly recommend to everyone, no matter their age!

Jon Veltman: The space is amazing and the staff are very welcoming.

Tess Chappell: If you're feeling at all shy or nervous about visiting the Pride Centre, I promise you you will be welcome. The atmosphere is usually very low-key, and there are lots of spaces to hang out in, depending on your comfort level and what you're looking for. Sit at the communal table for games and crafts, chill in one of the couch corners, meditate in a private relaxation room, or grab a book from their library and lay in a hammock. Chat with one of the staff members or volunteers to find out all the resources they have available. If you see me there, I'm always happy to play a game of Scrabble!

Ian Brown: They have a pretty cool little library

Never Give Up: Support local lgbtq

Onyii G. Nwosu: I LOVED IT

Erin June: Spacious, safe environment with kind, inclusive, diverse group of volunteers; went here for chest-binder exchange program, which is free for those in need! Those with mobility concerns: there is an elevator that requires staff assistance, so call ahead.

Norse Queen: Beautiful inclusive space for everyone!

Crystal: This place is invaluable to the community!

Melody McEwen: I love this place. Can't wait till it reopens to drop in visits.

Connie Thompson: Amazing, inclusive, supportive, incredible staff.

Sam Torrance: Everyone is so lovely. I got some books as a part of their Mystery Book Fair and I felt so welcome

Styx TheyThem Fierce: So many resources! So much support! ‼️
