Hathaway's Diner: what do users think?

Landon Bartels: I had the "Big Breakfast". It was perfect. Exactly as it was advertised. Both BIG & it included everything!. ALL the breakfast meats. 3 eggs, toast & hashbrowns or pancakes. Also they are very accommodating to kids. As the waitress & owner said "We'll make anything you want, for the kids, just ask". 10/10 I'll return again & again.Kid-friendliness: They are very accommodating to kids.

Todd Tomlinson: The food is fantastic and the staff are awesome. Highly recommend 👌

Nicole Mikaluk: Delicious diner food, fast service, and extremely friendly staff all around! Try their pistachio pie, best pie ever!

Darryl L Pillipow: I’ve been at Hathaway’s Diner in the past multiple times but not since new ownership. Greeted promptly with a smile. Service was top shelf. Food was fantastic. Pricing is very competitive. Atmosphere was casual and friendly. I’m not big on deserts but made the choice to have a signature piece of pie. My group had the Banana Cream, Pineapple Pistachio and Strawberry Shortcake Pie. All three were delicious. Thanks for the great food, smiles and friendly atmosphere. We’ll be back…..The pricing per person was approximately $25 per as we had everything we possibly could.

Stephanie Macdonald: OMG… First off this is a tiny little restaurant and it gets busy fast as it is only open for breakfast and lunch so make sure you get there in time to get a seat and eat. The food was amazing and the portions are HUGE.. I forgot to take pictures but we both only managed to eat about half of our meals and brought the rest home with us which was our dinner. I was disappointed because I REALLY wanted to have a slice of their homemade pie which people were buying whole pies all over the place. I asked a few people around me which were their favourite pies and it came down to coconut cream and banana cream which neither were my favourites lol but I asked the waitress how much they charge for a whole pie and don’t quote me but I believe she said $36 which for the size of those pies is a great deal. I personally was checking out the Oreo cream pie or the strawberry cheesecake pie but my sister was buying so it was a no lol. The owner was very friendly and sat with us for a few minutes and when I asked him about the puppy pies he actually brought one to me and explained how he came up with the idea and how the humane society had contacted him and they are now going to be available all around the city. I was very impressed by this and said that I would definitely be showing my doggie daycare to see if they would be interested as well. The only thing that was a little bit underwhelming was the service, the waitresses were very friendly but, we found that they paid more attention to the regular customers than to new people. My sister received her meal first and I was waiting and we could see me meal sitting in the window and then once we finished eating we were waiting about ten minutes and still had not received our bill and then I finally had to ask the waitress for the bill. All in all we will go back again because it was really great food but hopefully we will become one of the regulars and get great service lol…

Franky Wood: Though when we went there they were shutting the kitchen down for maintenance they welcomed us in, apologized for the inconvenience and got us some pie. They were so authentic that it felt like home. The owner and the servers are genuinely kind and very caring people and the pie was incredible.Let’s also not forget the fact that THEY SHUT DOWN THE KITCHEN FOR CLEANING & MAINTENANCE!That speaks for itself on how much pride they take in their restaurant.Keep this gem alive, Edmonton needs places like this.

XIX Nineteen: what do users think?

Zain Bhanji: . The beef short ribs were served almost like a meat loaf, but very soft and tender pulls to it. The lobster linguine was very creamy and rich, with grilled shrimp as the perfect accent to it. We also really enjoyed the Korean Fried Cauliflower as a perfectly sized appetizer for four people. A decent kick of spice in it, but not enough if you’re looking for something to really make you sweat. The pizookie was a great desert to cleanse our pallets too!Overall the service here was very pleasant and the food was served really fast. The only concern was that we could see that none of the cooks in the kitchen

Travis Franke: Went here for a birthday date night and shared appetizers and wow! We live in the area and have definitely slept on this place! We weren't too sure initially but after coming here, we will make a treat of it more often! We wanted a blast of flavour and we got it! Each and every bite we had was better than the last! If you haven't tried this place, do yourself a favour and go for it!

Isabella Finkbiner: Had to change my reservations a few times and they were so accommodating! The customer service was great besides the weird look I got when I ordered a pineapple margarita? My server Mark was great at first, and then was more attentive to other tables than ours. I wish I could have grabbed the name of the girl who was really helpful after that! She was so friendly and super personable. The food was definitely a 5/5! We ordered the Gull Valley Tomato Bruschetta and the only complaint I have is I would have loved more balsamic glaze. For dinner we had the Balsamic Chicken and the Hoisin Glazed Beef Short Ribs, both were amazing! The chicken was moist and the crispy Brussel sprouts were a great addition to the dish. The short rib was extremely tender, and full of flavour. The food also came out very quickly after our starter, which was great. Overall 4/5, really only took away was my experience with Mark. Will definitely come back!

Iosif Matieas-Bordi: High-end place. You should bring your future fiance here and propose. 😉

josh fournier: We came in for a family dinner last night. Our server, Scott, was excellent. He very clearly has been doing this a long time based on his attention to the table, ensuring drinks were full and dirty tableware never lingered. The whole team here was running like a well-oiled machine last night. Orders were taken, drinks arrived, appies rolled out, and mains shortly thereafter. Never a "when is our food coming" thought in our minds, so applause to the kitchen for their timing. All 8 mains came out at the same time, hot and perfect. Most restaurants now can't even fire 3-4 dishes so they finish at the same time. The tuna twists were fantastic, a crowd favourite. I will always order these when I come for dinner. The spicy cauliflower was great, just right in all aspects. The Picanha steak was cooked expertly, great med-rare colour and a perfect crust. The toast with fresh ricotta cheese and bruschetta was a great salty/sweet/creamy balance to the richness of the steak. The rest of the table very much enjoyed their dishes. The Gnocchi could use a little more flavour, it felt somewhat incomplete. If that's our only gripe, it's minimal.10/10, Excellent job to anyone that was on-shift last night.Thank you for a fantastic dinner service.

Ben Ifogah: My meal was tasty. Though the price was a bit steep, it was more than a projected image from a friend
