Richard Kao: I had my orthotics made there years ago and I still wear them. I had my new orthotics made in town, Fort McMurray, and they are not the same. If you want professional services and really tailor your orthotics to your needs, this is the place to go.

I had been to a podiatrist and I was told I have plantar fasciitis, they scanned my feet and told me I could order custom insoles my whole appointment was maybe five minutes. I decided to shop around for custom orthotics and came across custom orthotics and the walk shop and I’m so glad I did! They took the time to educate me on plantar fasciitis, shoes & slippers , what to look for when shopping for shoes and so much more. 10/10 recommend this company!!

Tim examined my feet, explained my conditions. He gave me tips on how to help with my planters fasciitis. When the orthotics came in and I tried them out, it was instant relief! I've been coming here for over ten years now and still receive the same great service and quality product.

Trina S: I had phoned Custom Orthopedics to begin my journey of finding a reputable and integrity based place to get orthotics for my shoes. I do not recall whom I spoke with, but she was very professional, helpful and patient as I asked her many questions on the process, insurance claims, etc. I suffer with intensely painful Achilles Tendonitis and hoped to find some relief, so I booked an assessment right away.The greeting I received was warm, welcoming and organized. Then I met Tim, the Pedorthist. Tim was super friendly, knowledgable and answered any questions I had. He provided me with much “take away” information and tips, in order to reduce my pain and aid in my healing. All the while, he was assessing my feet. I think the whole process took about 35-40 minutes and then he took me into The Walk Shoppe and showed me the types of shoes to look for. He was not pushy with the sales, which I appreciate - pushy, inauthentic sales people are the reason I leave many retail establishments. A lot of times, I get they’re just doing their jobs, but that’s my point! At The Walk Shoppe, the staff are not like that. They will ask if you need help, but leave you alone, if that’s what you choose.By the time I left, I was armed with knowledge, fully completed insurance forms and hope.I picked my orthotics up in 3 weeks time - they make them onsite, which I LOVE! I love supporting small business in my community. I have only had them just over a week, so there’s some getting used to proper support, but I can already feel a difference in how my feet feel walking. I was also reassured that, if I have any problems with my orthotics, I can bring them back in and they will adjust them for me.All in all, I am beyond pleased with my experience at Customer Orthotics and The Walk Shoppe - I will definitely be a regular customer there and recommend them to anyone having pain from lack of proper footwear.

My spouse had ankle fusion surgery and needed new shoes to give her the proper cushioning and support.Having a wide foot is usually a problem in most stores. Not here they had exactly what we needed, between the exact fit and useful tips we walked out with two pairs of great shoes.

I've been to other pediatrists and they'll perform a foot scan with a fancy machine and send out the work to a lab. After Orthotic Abilities makes the molds and prints are completed, everything is done in house, thus the quick turn around time. Extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable. I'll be recommending them to everyone I know.

Terry Crawford: I contacted Karl Hagar Limb & Brace to locate supplies for my walk aide device. As Walke Aide supplies are no longer available in Canada. Nolan was my contact and willingly checked his inventory for the electrodes required to operate my device as well as a new cuff to replace a 17 yr old cuff. Fortunate for me he filled both my requests. Shipped them to PEI. Upon receipt, items were as expected. I then required instruction installing electrodes to new cuff. Nolan answered my request for assistance with a phone call and very specific instructions to set up new cuff. Under his guidance, very patient I may add, my walk aide is functioning as good as new. emvb71: . I am an extremely high maintenance patient. I do not simply require a knee brace or a pair of ankle braces. At this point, Karl Hager has provided me with SMOs, AFOs, Lumbar braces, and a variety of neck braces as my neck has a variety of needs. As my illness progresses I imagine that I will require more braces and I fully trust that they will be able to help me.Kevin is the clinician that I have worked with the most closely and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was extremely diligent when working on my AFOs as my ankles and knees are very complicated. He is very knowledgeable as well as creative in terms of trying to find a solution for his patients. He worked hard to ensure that not only did the AFOs do their job, but that they were also comfortable - clearly an important aspect or I quite likely would not wear them. I have also had some fusions on my neck, as well as more than 10 unique stem cell therapy treatments - all in the US, and all extremely costly. These surgeries and treatments are significantly improving my quality of life

Dion “Mr fix it” House: Had a brace made here 11 yrs ago. Still use it daily getting a little rough right now but if you think you can get a brace any better anywhere else that can last this long I think you are wrong. My brace got a couple of issues right now but like I said 11 year's this manufacturer have got nothing to be ashamed of looking forward to seeing you guys again real soon. They came super fast, but unfortunately they were slightly small. The great thing about Fluevog is that they supply a return address within Canada, so I did not have to pay to ship it back. I emailed and got a response from Jenna right away. I reordered a size up over the phone and Signe was extremely helpful. Not only did she know exactly who I was when I called but she took the time to explain to me the different shoes names and how they're meant to fit. I am waiting for the new pair to arrive. Great first time experience purchasing Fluevogs!

The service is exceptional and staff are kind and friendly and clearly proud of the product. Some deals can be had here and we got some heavily discounted shoes on sale. They stand by their products too with decent return policy. Will come back if in-person meetings happen again and require me to wear shoes.
