Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Observatory: what do users think?

Nuno Ponte: Always insightful and informative, worth paying a visit.

Ant Barry: Amazing experience

Satyam Bhoyroo: Saw Venus under the telescope...

jeffrey mcelroy: It was closed but I have walked on the trail beside it when they are watching some type of event and it looks like Nasa in three. Well smaller version but still cool 😎

S Rodriguez: The Astrophysicist were very informative. Will be making a trip to the observatory once a month. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Sergii Moroz: Very interesting people can be met there.

Devon Hart: I went and wandered around. The guy that worked there was knowledgeable and helpful. That's about it.

Daniel Finley: Marvelous place to observe the planets and the starts. The staff our so amazingly passionate about what they do we could not stop discussing various astronomical phenomena. Bring a bug spray or the tiny thirsty vampires will make you their dinner.

Queen Elizabeth Planetarium: what do users think?

Mimi: Otherworldly!

Ken P.: Sure be nice to see it once it opens again

Marc Berube: Very nice place to stroll around. The Planetarium is closed for repairs. Still worth a visit.

Chris: Pretty amazing technology, of course the last time I was there was in the early 80's. Would have given 5 stars, but as a kid, I was pretty disappointed you couldn't get popcorn for the show.

Kirk Dewhurst: I remember coming here as a kid back around 1980 it was a really cool experience then. It’s been closed since 1983 when the Telus World of Science opened. Now it is been renovated and refurbished and supposed to reopen in 2020. There have been some delays so it may be a 2021 opening. When it does reopen it will be an intimate experience. The unique design of this building makes it really special.

Richard Duczynski: A great area with a pokemonGo gym and scenic walking trails and picnic areas nearby.

Matthew Buie: public observatories in Canada. That Edmonton has some of the worst light pollution in the country makes that claim all the more amazing. The staff here really know the night

Allen Gregory: So glad to hear they will be preserving it! As an astronomy fanatic, history buff, and someone who pays close attention to the royal family, this news has excited me greatly. It's unfortunate it will no longer be used as a planetarium, but I am glad to see new life being breathed into it nevertheless.

Aaron Craig: Neat thing to stumble across

Heresince86: First time at telus world of science!! Very well kept 👌 Great place to bring your kids for the day. Theres a play area with a watwr section so a change of close would be a good idea to have in your bag 👍 friendly staff 😀 the food from the cafeteria was really yummy 🤤 and came to the table super fast! 👌 I will definitely be coming back in the future thanks for a great first experience!

Andrew Tambiloc: We have been to Calgary, Regina and Edmonton science centers. This is by far the best. Exhibits and rooms are well spaced. Cafeteria has your average menu, reasonably priced. Admission is also reasonable for what is offered. Can definitely enjoy the place for hours. Definitely recommend it to othersVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

Steven Cleall: First trip back post Pandemic, the changes made to the building are striking, the new exhibit on the Canadian North is very interesting, especially with what we see happening with climate change. We were fortunate enough to visit while The Art of the Brick was touring, everyone that has an interest in either Art or Lego needs to see this before it closes in October.

Marianne 16: Loved the Metallica Laser ShowVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes …

T Eu: Really great educational experience for all ages but even more fun for children under 15. There is also a toddler play area as well. Not posting many photos to not spoil the experience. We chose the Lego exhibit as well as the science Center and well worth it! There is also a park in the back for those who choose to walk around more. Great spot for family time!

Arden Wurzer: So much fun for children and adults!!

The Observatory Opticians: what do users think?

John: Always top notch service. I stop in often for adjustments and cleaning. Pleasant knowledgeable staff.

Sam Fakhreddine: KnowledgeableFriendlyExcellent selection

Maxwell: Professionals

Brett Henry: Loving my new glasses and clip. I’m getting lots of compliments from friends and random strangers too. I highly recommend you check them out. Thanks Observatory Opticians

Patricia Jastrzebski: Amazing quality and selection of frames! Sadeeq helped me find frames that suit my style and frame my face. I get compliments everywhere I go!

Laura Jane: I was so impressed by the service and expertise of the staff here. They are truly passionate about eyewear and made me feel so welcome and helped me choose the perfect pair of frames to suit my face and my style. Can not recommend highly enough!

Lady Lyon: I’ve been a customer for well over fifteen years. Their frames are so stylish and I get compliments all the time. The owners are wonderful and Sadeeq is the person that usually helps me. He is very kind and very skilled.

Joel Reboh: I've been buying my frames here for 15 years and we're truly lucky to have such a refined selection in Edmonton. Upon entering The Observatory, you are transported into high fashion LA or NYC districts without all the pompous. I usually deal with Sadheeq but all the others that work there are awesome too.

Jason Davidson: Lovely experience at the Observatory today! The place has the greatest selection of glasses, and the most friendly/helpful staff. I was able to try on a number of different frames, and received helpful advice. After finding a great pair of glasses, the staff even fixed my pair from 2013 that I still have and love. Cannot recommend enough! Thank you!

Calvin Ulanicki: . The shop was clean, the attendants were knowledgeable, AND when they heard I was looking for a "certain look", they suggested a style I fell in love with COMPLETE with sunglass flip-ups. It's been a month, but I sincerely love this suggestion. If anyone is looking for "that certain look", these professionals are here to help. I'll be suggesting Observatory Opticians to everyone.

b y: went in to adjust my glasses that I bought from this store in 2014, and they're still able to fix my nose-pad and tighten the joints free of charge!!! excellent service!!!

Nic Field: . The staff are also super skilled at adjusting & fitting frames, & happily readjust them for you when your glasses eventually need a tune up. I’ve dabbled in inexpensive glasses a couple of times, but find the lack of quality, durability & “staying in style” factors are just not worth it, especially for something I wear every single day. I’m done with “dabbling” & won’t go anywhere else now. Totally recommend The Observatory.

Sage Mae Goonewardena: This place is outstanding. I loved the selection of frames, and found a pair that was quite different for me - thin wire frames. I'm used the chunky plastic frames. Once they came back the idex or the nosepiece or something was not what I was used to and I became ill wearing them. They immediately took them back, and replaced the lenses to accomodate what I had been used to. If you could believe it, although an improvement, I was still very nauseated wearing them after trying for two weeks. I was ready to just give them to a friend and I called them to see if there was anything else that could be done. I had purchased them months prior and didnt' expect anything, but thought it was worth a try. To my amazement, they asked me to not give them away and to come in and let them try AGAIN! They replaced the lenses, and triple checked everyting to help my eyes adjust. I'm happy to say they no longer cause me any issue and I'm quite shocked at how much work and investement they put in to ensure these frames worked for me. An outstanding company. Can't wait to select my next set of frames! Thank you so much!

Lana Strilchuk: I highly recommend The Observatory. The staff are all very knowledgeable and kind! They also have a large selection of unique frames. I am very happy with my new glasses!

Merriott Fitness: I was referred to The Observatory Opticians from a clinic in Vancouver. I hesitated due to the clinic being a distance from my home. Was after a certain style of glasses. I have to say it is a pleasure doing business with individuals who really appreciate their customers and who truly enjoy their job. Sadeeq the Retail Manager looked after everything!! It was a pleasure. Would highly recommend to anyone needing glasses.
