New Everest Indian Multi Kitchen & Bar: what do users think?

Henry Vu: . The restaurant was very clean, had a modern feel and the owner was very helpful. I ordered a Rogan Lamb combo and they gave me a huge portion with both rice and naan, was totally worth it*Food*- Rogan Josh Lamb: Nice complex curry flavor with strong taste of cumin. The lamb was a little dry for me and I personally would have loved more “gamey” lamb flavor in the dish. Perfect amount of heat from green chilies that activated the palate but didn’t overpower the dish. Rice was fluffy, naan looked great and had a lovely pillowy texture.- Mango Lassi: Best mango lassi I have had in recent memories, including those I tried in tropical countries.

Francis: We had mixed feelings about this place. We had the butter chicken and lamb kadai combos which came with rice and naan bread. Both combos were $23.99 and it was a lot of food so totally worth it. If you like spicy I would say ask for spicy. I got my butter chicken with medium just in case and I could have definitely had it spicier. The kadai we got "spicy" and it was definitely better spice level wise. The naan was some of the best I've had and service was friendly and prompt but we definitely had to ask for a lot of things. My only reason for the lower rating is the atmosphere. We didn't find the decor particularly inviting and it was quite warm inside despite being a cool day outside. If we lived in the area we would definitely order take out again but to sit in probably not.

Mohammad Faizi: I ordered chicken tikkaWith garlic nanIt was so deliciousAnd the stuff was very friendlyI’ll def visit there again!

Rob Phillips: Stopped in tonight for a spicey Vindaloo..2nd time I have had this locations food..Excellent and good prices..The service was great the guys were helpful..Only regret was they don’t have buffet to go I was craving an assortment of tastes..Next time will go for buffet there..

Sam Kandhari: Food was really delicious. And staff was also good Mayank at receptionist is very friendly.

Dmitry Baranov: It's a cozy place. It has a nice buffet, or you can get something a la carte. It's like a mini version of a new asian village. The Naan bread is baked fresh when you order. The setting reminds me more of a dinner than an Indian restaurant, but it still has some nice decor and a bit of the atmosphere. It is a very nice place if you are in a hurry or on a budget. I would recommend it 👌.

lmaoyonnaise: Excellent little place with amazing service and tasty food that always arrives quickly.I recommend skipping the buffet and ordering your favourites straight from the menu to get the best experience.

larry: Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices. An all around pleasant experience! Haven't checked out their new location yet, but I am looking forward to it. It looks quite nice from the outside. I have yet to have anything there that I didn't like. My son wants me to go there again, so will have to try the new location soon!EDIT: Tried the new location, and I think the food is even better, so I bumped up the review to 5 stars. Excellent dining experience!

Kevin Sonnleitner: Wasn’t really hungry but wanted to try the food glad I didWent in to try out food did the buffet try a little bit of of everything I like the chick pea curry, potato with egg plant is good, and a couple of others that I don’t remember what there are calledIt’s a very nice relaxing environment to go to.Prices are very reasonable and tastyIt’s a place that a person can go to over and over again and not breaking the bank.

Tom Dodge: The food was very delicious. One of the best East Indian restaurants that I’ve eaten at lately. Server was pleasant and very helpful with Vegan suggestions. I would highly recommend this restaurant.Vegetarian options: Many vegan options available.

Manvinder Kaur: Mayank is such a good personality with excellent customer service will visit soon here again Thank you Mayank for such great food and awesome customer service in a kind wayVegetarian options: Great Taste

Megan Sale: I’m lucky enough to work nearby and can’t help but to order lunch here whenever I I can. There’s always something different I want to try and it’s always beyond satisfying! The food tastes amazing and is accommodating for all kinds of pallets and preferences. The portion sizes and prices are fantastic and you really get your money’s worth. Every time I go there, I’m greeted with excellent customer service. I really look forward to going there at least once a week

Spencer Taft: Really good! Get the momos

Dylan McConnell: with saffron rice and naan. Their momos are really good too, and I like the different naan options they have

Areeba Banu: Love this place, such a cute vibe inside wih all the paintings. The service is so nice and the cook is so smiley and happy!! The food here is amazing, should def be more popular!! Great Indian food have not tried their other food but tasting their indian food probably as great! Also I don't live in edmonton but we visit often and this place is right next to one of our family members aparment! and she's always going here because she loves it !

Francis: Came here for lunch while visiting the Telus centre. Highly worth it right across the street and so much better than the food you can get there. We had the butter chicken combo which came with saffron rice and naan bread. Wasn't sure about the spice level so I asked for medium but as someone who eats spicy this wasn't spicy at all. The taste was fantastic though and the naan bread was fresh and also really good. For $14.99 this was a great lunch. The other dish we tried was the Nepanese chicken with noodles. For this dish we asked for spicy and again it wasn't really that spicy. They do have chili oil which was nice so we mixed it in and it was very good. The portion was really big and everything tasted good. Service was also good so we would definitely go back when in the area.

Monsoon Bistro & Bar: what do users think?

Hardeep sidhu: Very delightfull and mouthfull taste. Didnt expected it would be that good, but this place stands out as the food isnt spicy no extraa masalas or extra oil floating around the dishes. Perfect place for family and kids. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Masala bhindi

Sandra W: that I left my crossbody bag at the restaurant. When I went back looking for it, they took the time to check their security cameras to see if I had left the restaurant with it on, which I had. This was so helpful to know and I ended up finding it shortly after. For the staff to take that extra step to help their customers is just amazing. I am so impressed. I highly recommend Monsoon, this is a first class restaurant.

Kimiya Akbar: The food is amazing and very flavourful, just prepare yourself that everything is spicy. The service is nice.A small glitch: We asked for medium rare lamb chops, and they arrived fully cooked with our server explaining that the chef misunderstood and thought we had asked for medium spicy. For the price we paid, we expected an immediate replacement rather than a half apology without any suggestions for improvement.

Rob Kaplan: To quote any episode of Master Chef, Monsoon Bistro is Indian food elevated to the next level. Attached to the Holiday Inn, it’s a well decorated restaurant with big tables and comfy chairs that’s worthy of a fine dining experience. Immediately attended to by a young friendly female server, we appreciated being asked if we had any questions about the menu and we observed a fully staffed restaurant where they all seem devoted to providing good service. Considering that’s almost unheard of in today’s sad generation of understaffed establishments with angry inpatient young people who hate their jobs, that alone makes Monsoon a standout. But service is irrelevant if the food isn’t worthwhile and it’s clearly the star of the show. Serving Mughali as the regional style in Tandoori style, the menu is a bit different than your standard strip mall Indian joint and we heard the staff explaining to anyone unfamiliar with the dishes. Starting out with complimentary poppadoms that are perfectly airy and delicious, the chutneys are fresh, not watered down and served cold.Despite the amazing menu, we usually stick to typical favorites. The butter chicken is possibly the best we’ve ever eaten and we’ve lived in Calgary, San Francisco, and Malaysia where one third of the population is Indian so that’s saying a lot. Advertised as “smoky”, the sauce is brilliantly rich and creamy with a beautiful orange red color and the chicken is charcoal infused. It’s served in a large bowl that highlights the large chicken pieces and presentation is beautiful. The lamb biryani has large pieces of flavorful lamb and beautifully fluffy rice. Practically grease free, my stomach appreciated the healthier aspects but the flavor is also perfect. The mango lassi was thick, sweet and delicious.Naan is brought out in baskets with tongs and is such a perfect texture it’s like a small flatbread pizza. Soft and fluffy inside and perfect tandoori oven crust. And it’s much larger than most naan dishes with six large pieces.Wanting one unfamiliar dish, we tried a shared plate of Hara Tawa Paneer which were circular and pan seared with a green filling of kale, spinach and coriander. Completely different than a standard paneer dish in deep gravy, they were light, crispy and delicious dipped in the poppadom relishes. As it was my wife’s birthday, we asked about dessert and they brought out a complimentary large plate of cheesecake attractively served with some berry sauce and two servers sang happy birthday. The finishing touch was the owner coming out to inquire how the meal was. Even if it sounds cheesy, we appreciate the little things that dining out used to include before inflation, pandemics and Gen Z service came along so we raved about the meal and promised a stellar review.Coming in at less than $70, the price is perfectly reasonable and nothing is overpriced given the quality and service. Partnering with an ex chef from a Sorrento’s who trained the staff and chefs, the owner did a top notch job and I’d call easily it one of Edmonton’s top ten restaurants. We look forward to coming back to try more dishes.

Matthew D: Others at my table ordered dishes I could not pronounce, but they were familiar with. We all enjoyed it very much.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options to choose from, and many gluten free options as well!Parking: Many parking spots, you won't have trouble!

AR FOREVER: Superb food with vibrant vibe is just a perfect combination for a restaurant...Our serve Kwahish was just awesome in services, she was prompt & perfect timing to take our order for entrees,Mains & desserts.Loved this would definitely suggest visiting ❤️

maninder grewal: Been meaning to go here since forever because it's my friend's favorite restaurant. The ambiance is so cozy and overwhelming in a good way. The premises were clean. The food was amazing. We absolutely loved the veggie momos. The sauce is to die for. Not for the faint hearted though. 🌶️The chili baby corn was so-so. A bit on the salty side.Manchurian with semi-gravy was really good.We also had the Kadahi Paneer, which in my opinion is the closest you could get to the food you get in India. 🏽 and the garlic naans were also great. The service is great and quick.Definitely recommended.P.S. The mango lassi is a must have. Better than other Indian restaurants.Vegetarian options: Lots of options.Parking: Lots of parking.
