Washoku Bistro: what do users think?

Carly Marie: Cute little spot with a fair sized menu. The portions were great, with amazing flavour. Great little space to meet a friend or take someone on a causal date.Vegetarian options: Limited options for vegetarians, the Yam rolls were a win though.

Love Your Back: We were close in the area when I had a craving for sushi.. after a quick google search this place came up with great reviews and decided to walk in. We were greeted right away, had to wait a few mins for a table but we’re put in one of the rooms: I’m always afraid of out of sight, out of mind.. but we were looked after! Also if they offer you complimentary miso soup, get it! It was warm & yummy! I’m more of a traditional sushi gal, I don’t care much for fancy rolls, so what I ordered was negitoro maki, salmon maki, dynamite & California rolls.. everything was fresh, rolled tight & pretty wasabi flowers. Yummm! We will return!

Yeh Warren: Chicken karaage curry is awesome!

Daniel Jimenez: Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Katsu Don, Hurricane Roll

Twitchy: Had lunch at Washoku on a recent Saturday. I expected it to be busier but there were only 5 other tables occupied. Service was very good. We had the chicken udon, a sashimi & nigiri bento, salmon combo, tuna combo, shrimp combo and a yam roll. The udon soup, rolls and nigiri were all very good and I would give them a 5 star rating. However the bento box had a couple of items that stopped me from giving Washoku an overall 5 star rating. While the bento box was generally very good, the slice of octopus was extremely chewy. Also, the tuna sashimi was very cold, not quite fully thawed out. The salmon sashimi was fine.

Mikado Downtown: what do users think?

JC Yu: but the warm and crunchy with the sauce really seals the deal. Mikado also comes out with new rolls or items being introduced every couple of months as a marketing or seasonal thing

Missy ice: Had a fun night mostly due to the company I was in and the excellent service. Our server, Ann, was lovely and attentive. The restaurant was over air conditioned and it felt like we were eating in the North Pole. The food was ok. Excellent chicken karaage, sashimi, and rainbow roll. The spicy tuna had an aftertaste that I didn’t love and the chop chop roll wasalmost dry. The worst was the tofu twist. It was smothered with sauce and really goopy. The tofu was soggy. I do not recommend unless what I described sounds delicious to you. I would be back though, the service was great and find the big parking lot downtown to be super convenient.

Hei Strawberry: Fantastic place. Greeted by the staff as we entered the establishment. Decor was very nice and a well lit interior. Clean seating areas and bathroom was well kept.We were able to get the room seating which was amazing since we just walked in during a busy time, and would have had to wait. Normally you would need to reserve that type of seating.Waitress was polite, attentive, and helpful when asked about different food items. Food was hot when it arrived, refills for drinks were consistently topped up.Another worker stopped by the room to ask about the food, thanked us for visiting the location and then left with a small bow.I was not able to finish my pot of tea sadly, as I was too full. I really enjoy good tea.

Li: If you are a true connoisseur of quality cuisine, Mikado is an absolute must-visit. Prepare yourself for an explosion of irresistible flavors, captivating freshness, and a culinary experience that is simply spectacular. From start to finish, every detail is thoughtfully crafted to provide an unparalleled culinary experience. Don't miss the opportunity to savor the delight and freshness of Mikado - a culinary experience that you will certainly remember for a long time.

Furusato Japanese Restaurant: what do users think?

Phillip Hayek: Recommended dishes Assorted Sushi

Greg McCool: I was blown away by the food. Probably the best Japanese I've ever had. I will definitely be back there again.

Jillian Ahlisch: Excellent experience. The food was fresh and good quality. Miso soup Salmon sashimi, fursoato special roll, and butterfly roll were all delicious. The service was wonderful. We will definitely be dining again

Andy L: . The sashimi felt like a good value given the quality and price. That being said, the pieces were smaller than most places. Overall, it felt like a small hidden gem on Whyte.

Pauline Wong: Always a pleasure dining here. We dine in and order takeout regularly and the service is consistently great every time. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and fresh, the menu is extensive with lots of vegetarian options, and the portions are generous, even for takeout.

Dorinku Tokyo: what do users think?

Bobby B: is so creamy, filled with umami and delicious. The bacon gives it such a savory taste as well.Shacka shacka fries are like mcdonald fries, stuck in a bag with shacka shacka seasoning and than mixed. It's sweet, salty and filled with umami and crispy.

Alex K: Dorinku is one of my all time favourite restaurant’s. The pressed salmon sushi is very good and the carbonara udon, is probably my favourite dishes to try. The calamari and chicken skin was pretty good as well for appetizers. The employees are very welcoming and gives it that authentic Japan vibe when you walk in.Parking: Has a strip of parking, if its not busy its not bad parking

Sydney Rayne: delicious food and service is always great! the pressed salmon sushi roll is sooo tasty. as well as the chicken udon! great flavour.

Kobe: what do users think?

Rob Elliott: Great to see Robert, Joy and eat inside. Getting a little tired of takeout 🥡Recommended dishes Rolls …

Calvin Virata: Updated review: Definitely our go to spot for sushi in the west due to the flavor and quality of food we get.Go to order:Sweet passion rollChop chop rollRainbow rollLarge sashimi saladDeep fried tofuHowever, no one seems to answer the phone no matter which time of day or which day of the week.Always greeted by the sushi chefs. Workers are friendly but honestly the food is worth the wait but just super frustrating not being able to order ahead of time so we don't go as often as we'd like.-----Original review:Great sushi place! All rolls are great. It's super busy so be aware of wait times but its worth it

Kathy: Best sushi in Edmonton. Been eating here for years! Soooo delicious and large portions. They’re super friendly as well.

ZATTISPOOKI: they have several sushi dish that included fried shrimp, chicken or tempura!! Big Yummy!

J T-S: We've eaten at Kobe a number of times. Staff is really nice an seem very hard working. The food is generally pretty good and quite fast. I've definitely never had a bad meal from Kobe! The sashimi could be a little thicker and I don't love their wasabi. Overall, a great solid south west end choice!

Tobias M: Best Japanese food in town in my humble opinion.

Japonais Bistro: what do users think?

Janice Overend: . Service is amazing, place is beautiful, food is delicious.Parking: The lot out front is usually full during peak times, but lots of street parking, paid just off Jasper, or free a block or two north of Jasper.Wheelchair accessibility: Half their restaurant has a raised floor, but they have several booths and tables available with no elevation change.

Cassidy Capper: is amazing and their food truly delivered! It was super tasty and gave a good portion for one person. Their TNT roll, and anchovy garlic edamame was to die for. I 10/10 recommend. However, I have only tried their food through 3rd party delivery apps so I cannot vouch for their atmosphere and service, but I would definitely give it a go having tasted their delicious food.

Elaine: Christine, is an amazing manager! She’s hard at work, running very smoothly, great experience, ensuring customers are happy! The staff is super friendly, delivering excellent service. Chefs make excellent sushi and delicious and artistic dishes! Love this place in Windermere, will come again, especially the Tuesday’s $1 salmon sashimi!

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ: what do users think?

Jason Nie: Coming to Edmonton from Vancouver, I must come to taste the most famous and luxurious Japanese barbecue in the area, Gyu-Kaku, it is correct, I am not disappointed, I am a person who is picky about things, but Gyu-Kaku in Edmonton Kaku is great both in terms of service and food quality, it should be regarded as the top local, I come back every time I come to taste it! recommend!

Sushi Niwa: what do users think?

Jeff Vanelle: One of the few Japanese places in a food court that I trust blindly.Great couple running it, committed to good food.I would book a table if this was a stand alone restaurant, instead of a food court stall. The lunch bento is unbeatable downtown, for its price and quality.I hope the renovations of the mall won't hit you too hard.Thank you for the years of great lunches!

Jacob: Always fantastic food. I consistently look forward to eating here. Huge blessing to interact with the workers - so friendly! 11/10 exceedingly delicious

Conor Hildebrandt: Spectacular quality of food for the price, fast service and always friendly. Truly a hidden gem downtown, this has been my go-to for lunch

Tanuki Kyoto Sushi: what do users think?

Kelvin Young: Sashimi was some of the thinnest pieces ive seen but otherwise it was decent. Ice cream is a big plus. Good flavours too

Adam: Not a bad place to eat, food was good, prices not bad and comparable to other Japanese restaurants. Service was very slow though. They appear to be understaffed like most places these days. I wasn't aware they had an all you can eat option which looks intriguing. Saw other patrons enjoying some Japanese hotpot which I think is part of the all you can eat. Also, be sure to wash your hands after handling the menus, they are falling apart and dirty. Printed during the feudal era I'm guessing....
