This is exactly what happened to me at this meat shop.You buy first hand from the butcher instead of a grocery store. Hence it is fresh,soft and much juicy when cooked.Meat shop has a display counter in front where customers purchase first hand and behind is the giant warehouse with sections. Butcher area ,sealing area and dispatch side was all there. Nick , the owner and proud butcher himself is very hard working and funny guy.My overall experience was good but it did make me think to go vegan.. lol I guess I will try..So all you meat lovers- Visit here for sure

Tried to phone them back- the cuts are not what I want- phone call is met with a loud screeching sound.Edit- was very frustrated at first, but they made it right in the end. And the lady at the store was very friendly and helpful!
The McCann's: We have been ordering a full beef for a decade now. Our farmer originally exposed us to Edminton Custom Packers and we couldn't have been happier. 4 years ago our farmer started using someone closer to their farm and the other butcher didn't cut or package the way we requested and didn't provide us with all of the beef bones. This year I am so happy because we are back with Edmonton Custom Packers. They are definitely our preferred butcher. Rates are reasonable, quality cuts, great costumer service, and am the bones are provided. They take the time to walk me through the cuts and make suggestions even on how to prepare cuts that I haven't had experience with.Best butcher in the Edmonton area!

John Holland: Carry a lot of different sausages. Was having trouble finding merguez sausages but they had them. I have heard good thing about the scotch egg but you should reserve what you want as they sell out fast.

T n H: sausage. A great selection of must try items. The kolbasas are great. Scotch eggs are so good. We get fresh, but take a bunch home to have it in the freezer. We have shopped everywhere and tried everything and we really love Old Country Sausage House products. They have some amazing products for Robbie Burns Day as well.

cijay morgan: right across from Allendale school. Friendly service and nice, clean shop. Their steak pies are amazing and I've just had two buns w/haggis in it. Their haggis is perfectly spiced, the kind that warms you up on a cool day. Mince pie was a bit dry but nothing that a good Bisto gravy couldn't remedy. Altogether a hit!

Richard York: Now I know where to buy sausages that range from andouille, hot Italian, Chorizo, Bratwurst etc. And their speciality sausage is Allendale. Their sausage is really good and has great flavour like the hot Italian has that nice and subtle spicy kick not punch you in the face spicy. And the Allendale sausage is really good too. I can see why its highly recommended.Then they sell pies. Their pies is not bad and look like the typical English pies you find in UK. Steak and kidney pie is not bad as you can see kidney pieces compare to other pies where its hidden or you get small pieces of kidney just needs a bit of seasoning. Scottish Mince pie is not bad but kinda needs sauce; however, if that is how the pie supposed to be then I guess I need to add some HP sauce or worcestershire sauce to the pie.Melton Mowbray style pork pie was really good. Not sure how to eat it so I heated the pie in the toaster oven and it was really good. I want to get a piece of bread to mop up the juice.I look forward to trying Cornish pies, tortiere, chicken pot pie and shepard's pie. I will return to buy more sausages and pies.
