Max's Restaurant, Cuisine of the Philippines Edmonton: what do users think?

Glenn Shatz: Did somebody say "Filipino Cuisine"? I'm all in...The food is truly precise and worth the visit, although upgrading the staff training is a requirement for a more positively professional and successfully pleasurable experience.

Bryan Grace Lumacang: Love it!

Jealyn Malaque: We are evacuees from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and the owner provided free meal for everyone who got evacuated. The staff there welcomed us with a smile and gave the best customer service especially "Ms. ANGIE". We had the best Filipino meal that we've been craving for since we got evacuated from our home. We would like to thank you for the food and service. God bless all you guys.

Jerry E. Matias , Jr.: for your food to be cooked & be served , asap.I ordered , House special chicken fried rice with Kare- Kare & ginisang bagoong on the side. I requested a small extra bagoong added and they charged $1 extra on my bill.the half crispy fried chicken or crispy Pata goes well with pancit canton. It's a delicious & solid lunch or dinner combo that's worth trying.Parking: lot of parking space available.

Mary Joy Villamayor: We had a wonderful 3rd birthday celebration of my daughter here last August 20. It was an unforgettable moment that we will forever cherish because of the good service the staff provided especially to Ms. Grace Heradura who accepted my reservation even only 1 week before the event date. We were amazed of the decoration which exceeded our expectation. The food was great and our guests love it! I never regret choosing Max's Restaurant. We will surely come back.

Ray Gino Maglaya: Its been awhile since we ate here because of all the Filipino restaurants that opened closer to us but the food is still delicious as I remembered. I missed the chicken and sisig. Price-wise it went up but its understandable. Service was great. She knew what we needed right way. I think her name was ate Sha im not sure. The interior needs to be updated and the outside needs to be painted but other than that, me and my mom really enjoyed our visit.

It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a scrumptious Filipino dining experience.

Filistix Downtown - Filipino Restaurant in Edmonton: what do users think?

John Palfrey: This review is based on their awesome Food Truck during the 2023 Fringe festival! This is the Only Food Truck I plan on visiting! The service is Outstanding with the most cheerful people ever! Very polite and informative in what is being served! The food is extremely delicious and the presentation is awesome! They keep their area clean and tidy! They like to add new items to their menu of goodies! Never ending delights! The experience is totally awesome and I seriously recommend this location! As well as their Fringe location!

Ailynn Wong: because they're super yummy!Beautifully built location downtown and a good stop for weekend brunch or dinner.

Sosyal Scoops: .The owners and the team are extremely hard workers who put all the love into their food, their team and their business. Recommend the restaurant and their trucks for your catering needs.

M P: I have experienced Filistix multiple times in multiple ways -- at their restaurant and through different menus/venues with their food truck. I once watched a documentary on Filipino food in NYC and they said it best when they said that Filipino food is about nostalgia and competes with your family's way of doing things. I think Filistix does a good job of staying true to the idea of a dish, elevating it and just making things damn tasty. I am thankful that I get my fix for when I want a Filipino breakfast, when I miss the street food I grew up with and when our food is celebrated in a new iteration. More power to you guys -- ya'll make my heart and tummy happy.

Christopher YEUNG: Absolutely amazing food and service! A unique authentic experience that was fantastic for our large group. It’s a small restaurant but the atmosphere is great and the staff is very attentive. They offer catering and takeout so if you want great Filipino food for your office or next gathering, I would highly recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back!

Bobby B: . Both the meal and his service was awesome. The bowl cones with a ground beef, Cole slaw, and rice. Love the Cole slaw with raisins gives the meal a nice sweetness to it. Would definitely recommend eating here.

Elva Fay: and neither of us liked it very much. Good overall not the best we’ve had from Filistix.

Katrina Lazo: As a Filipina, I'm usually very picky about going to Filipino restaurants. In previous experiences, other places try too hard to fuse western comforts and Filipino cuisine, but lose the traditional tastes. However, Filistix has done a fantastic job staying true to Filipino flavours, which showcases how awesome Filipino culture is.I would recommend ordering the pork adobo and leche flan for dessert.... So good!Service was excellent! Our host was friendly, funny, on top of our orders. The atmosphere was great- clean, nice decor, good music.

Sherry Boerefyn: Had an amazing meal here. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend. The twice fried pork was to die for!

Ar: Booked a ticket for their Mother's Day brunch and we were not disappointed! Brunch was great with garlic fried rice, longanisa, bangus, tosino, corned beef, Lechon, beef tapas, etc. The mango fili tea was delicious too! Service was top notch as everyone was super nice, accommodating, and were always around to refill our drinks. This was actually our first experience at filistix and we'll definitely be back for the normal menu. Thanks for a great Mother's Day!Parking: There is tons of parking close by down 106th st and 107st street. Expect to pay if you are around during peak times but we only paid about a $1 per hour.

Sandra Chen: What fantastic food but what incredible staff/management! They were so accommodating of our 2 boys on mother's day. Excellent spot for families and their buffet today was fantastic. There's no place to brunch but here, beats all the other basic brunch options and spots!

Bailey R: .-A happy customer of 7+ years

Jade Connors: flavours that I get to look forward learning about as I try new dishes. The staff if so friendly and warm. I got to try their food at a community Asian event - these folks put their warm hearts not only in the spirit of their food but back into the community with love.Make reservations, they get busy, and I hope you can see from my photos why. Do yourself a favour and try this place out. You’ll be back sooner than you think 😅
