I had a complication the day of my surgery a few hours later just after the doctors went home and the staff was beyond accomodationg and helpful. Called 811 and they confirmed. Showed up the next morning and was seen promptly with news that was much better then expected.All in all very helpful and the doctors are highly skilled!

Donald W: Very impressed. This is a no pressure establishment. On the day of my surgery, I paid in full to have both eyes done. Dr. Leong-Sit, the refractive surgeon, met with me after I'd paid and right before my surgery for one last check before surgery. He advised me of all the risks, including that given my prescription, if I were to do both eyes, I would guarantee need reading glasses by age 40 or earlier.He had me really second guessing the idea of getting surgery just to ensure I was evaluating the risks and comfortable with my decision. He offered me a few solutions:1. A full refund of my money so I could take more time to think about it. This is pretty generous as they only do surgeries on Thursday's and are quite busy, so I would be taking up a fairly expensive surgery spot for them.2. We do one eye and leave the other eye untreated. In this scenario, called monovision, your treated eye learns to see for distance, and your untreated eye is used for reading. He also offered me a full refund of money so I could think about it for a while, or try monovision with contact lenses to see how I liked it.I ended up deciding to do option 2 that day, and have the surgery one in one eye. They refunded me half my money so it was only the price of one eye. The surgery went well and it was surprisingly seamless to adapt to monovision.Anyways, I'm most impressed with how little they pressured me to go ahead with surgery and offering me my money back even when my surgery was only minutes out.

All of the staff, especially Shawna Hrynyk, were very knowledgeable and helpful.I originally had my surgery booked for the start of July, however ended up needing to push it to the end of August due to unforseen circumstances. The surgery itself was quick, painless, and overall nothing to stress about. I was made to feel very calm and at ease by Dr. Man KASSIRI for the duration of the process, which was complete in less than 7 minutes.I had my surgery on Thursday, and as of writing this on Monday I am still recovering and taking the required drops. Vision in my left eye is still a little hazy and blurred, especially around lighter objects, but I’m hopeful this will get better with time!

Penny Sklove: I saw Dr. Galvez today. My experience from start to finish was excellent. I didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes and the receptionist and the technicians were all very nice. Dr. Galvez saw me promptly and he was very kind, understanding and patient. I felt as though he truly cared about how I was feeling and he sent me for tests to rule out anything worrisome as well. After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit worried, but my experience was a good one and I was in and out in 1 hour.

scirfy: Do not listen to the negative reviews on this eye clinic. They are obviously just miserable people. All the staff were wonderful up to and including Dr Galvez who I see. I only waited about 5 minutes and my appointment was only about an hour long, if that. Waiting rooms and office rooms were very clean and quiet. Only thing is that the location is around through a side door that goes into the actual shopping center. Can be a bit hard to find the first time.

The front reception staff are friendly and efficient.The eye area has an extensive blood supply and so significant short - term bruising and swelling is to be expected post surgery.Edmonton Eyelids has a great system in place with their highly trained ophthalmology RN’s making daily follow up phone calls several days in a row post- surgery, in order to quickly spot any possible complications.In the case of any minor concerns that require a follow up appointment with Dr. Chan , it is quickly arranged and she even called me in person to discuss my concern and arranged a time - sensitive follow up clinic visit to assess me immediately.The results of the eye surgery have been phenomenal and I would recommend it to anyone. The results are beautiful and very natural . I am so pleased to look as young as I feel as the “ eyes are true windows to the soul” !

Anyone reading this give some thought to buying the upgrade to at least reading lenses, I find it very awkward to put reading glasses on and off, both eyes are at 20/20 now 3 weeks after operation, can read at book at a distance now but still need reading glasses for comfortable reading, I never thought about the upgrade as I was so used to wearing glasses all the time.Very satisfied with Dr.rehans work. I had 2 different optometrists examine my eyes and both were above friendly and gave me opportunities for questions; they explained every procedure and made sure I understood the terminology they used! I highly recommend them!
