M Richardson: This was my second time here, and both times we were seated quickly and served efficiently. The grilled wings I ordered were delicious, exactly as described in the menu. One of my companions ordered some raw vegetables off-menu which our server, Muhammad Zahra, went out of his way to acquire and serve as a special request.The food seems consistently good, no matter what you order. My favorite restaurant in Edmonton!

I recently brought Penny Appeal Canada volunteers for an appreciation dinner, and everyone was very pleased and happy with the quality, taste and display of the food. Роман Букатюк: The owner is very friendly and helpful. The interior is cozy, there are beautiful paintings of Eritrea or Ethiopia in the hall. The food is authentic. It is specific and not for everyone. From the outside the building looks bad. It was raining that day and the walkway was all puddle, so my legs were all wet. We ordered kitfo to go, but were a little bit afraid to eat this dish with raw meat, so fried the meat. Was not bad. They also seem to have some musical band performancesVegetarian options: There are completely vegetarian dishes
Amanda Meadows: Went for a lunch, asked for suggestions and got perfect advice for a taster menu. Staff were knowledgeable about the choices and were very attentive and friendly. Ended it off with an amazing espresso. Would highly recommend.

Melissa Larsen: I have been to this location numerous times and have always had great service; except for today. I arrived at 1055pm and ordered a regular donair. The woman taking my order stated that donairs were unavailable because the grill had been cleaned. I pointed out the restaurant was open for another hour but she said nothing so I walked out. I think it is more than a little ridiculous to basically shut everything down with more than an hour left before closing time. I was very disappointed with her disinterested attitude.
Jessica Chaplin: This buisness recently changed ownership and the new owners are amazing. Very friendly, delicious food. The restaurant is easily accessible and has 2 very clean bathrooms. The restaurant is bright and enjoyable to eat in. We had him split food up for kids and he was very accommodating. We would highly recommend this family friendly restaurant.

A Annette: Great food! We had the beef and chicken shawarma platters; both meats were moist and flavorful, hummus was perfectly smooth, and the salad was delicious. The portions were generous, we definitely could have shared one platter between the two of us. Can't wait to go back!

Rob Fortier: Absolutely amazing experience! I had the chicken shawarma platter and everything was amazing. The rice and chicken flavour was spectacular. The hummus was clearly homemade and the best I’ve EVER had. The pita bread was fresh. The salad was tasty. Even the fries were good. All this and service with a smile. The woman was so kind it made the experience even better. Bonus: The yoghurt dessert she gave because we waited. It was Ramadan and they had opened late for lunch.Parking: Easy and free parking but may be hard to find a spot when busier.

mostafa ismail: To me, making Shawrma & Falafel as well is an art.I immigrated to Canada 8 years ago and I’ve tried sooo many places in BC and other places and this week i was visiting Edmonton so i thought I’ll try Abu Nawras. I’ve never been satisfied with any place more than this place.The making of the sandwich, the bread of the sandwich, the way they cook and cut the shawrma, the garlic sauce, pickles, price, service…etc everything you taste in here is unforgettable.Thank you Abu Nawras for the best food we’ve had in years man .

Shane Allison: Awesome meal. We stopped by last night after seeing the restaurant a few months ago and thinking ‘we should eat there some day’. We are so glad we did. We ordered Beef Tibs and Veggie Combo. The meal comes with a fantastic flat bread made with teff flour. The flavors were wonderful, and amount of food was plentiful. The waitress was helpful and very pleasant. We will be back for sure. Don’t let the part of town and look of the building from the outside deter you, the meal is worth it.
