Simon: Went on a nice little hike here with a buddy and was really impressed! It's like you're not in the city anymore, the sound of cars and such vanishes after you're in. There are a bunch of mini trails that branch off of the main ones, so you can go and adventure far here. Just don't forget where you parked.Restrooms: No washrooms anywhere.

Veronica McDonnell: This is a beautiful spot, so peaceful. Cyclist are not permitted, which is a bit of relief because cyclist in the river valley, and not always kind to pedestrians.
Brooke Bartolitius: Beautiful place full of many different species of birds. It's easy to forget you are in the city when adventuring in the ravine.
Aaron Baynes (Associate YEGPro Realty): Amazing walking trails with tons and animals to view and birds to feeds. We spend many hours in the ravine walking and enjoying all it has to offer.

Sean Watt: What a wonderful walk. My only concern is that the ebikes use this shared trail. They are operating at speeds faster than you can react to. We had our dog on a leash and there were close calls. It's a shared trail, but "shared"means everyone is going to collide at some point. Check out the fort Edmonton foot bridge. Very nice.

dr9106: The city recently revitalize all of the trails here and they did an absolutely amazing job! Highly recommended for doors looking to either take the dogs out or go on a nice hike with Andy and Edmonton River Valley. The amenities on the trail were very well-maintained as well.
Rob Haynes: It is a nice single lane scenic bike path that twists and winds its way either up or down this hill depending on what direction you are headed. With loads of trees it can provide for a nice quick get away. It can get pretty muddy after it rains or the snow melts so be warned.

David Hryciuk: You don't need to go to southern Alberta or Drumheller to experience the badlands. Whitemud Hill, in the MacTaggart Sanctuary is a badlands area in southwest Edmonton. In stark contrast to the green spruce and aspen trees that surround it, one can find this desert-like micro-climate. It's essentially an isolated pocket of badlands complete with rocks, clay barrens and even prickly pear cacti. Who knew you could find this surprising and starkly beautiful spot in Edmonton?
