Mark August 24th on your calendar. This is the first day you will be able to choose your locker for the 2023-2023 school year! Just sign into SchoolZone, go to the Student Profile, then choose “Locker” from the drop-down box. Follow the instructions to complete your locker registration. Remember to include your lock combination! (this is so the office can remind you if you forget it)

The 2023-2024 school year will be Strathcona's 115th year of operation. Throughout the years we have always been known for excellence in all that we do. We will now only accept resident students in Grades 10 to 12 who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area.

A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

My name is Mike Morison and I am honored to be joining the Lillian Osborne family as the new principal this year. I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been with Edmonton Public School for the past 23 years during which I've taught a wide variety of classes and grades. I served as a teacher, department head and assistant principal in Outreach programs, Westlawn School, and W. P. Wagner High School. For the past decade I have been proud to serve as principal at Rutherford and Ottewell schools.

This is an exciting time for all of us as we begin a new school year filled with hope and optimism. For our new grade 10 students - welcome! I am as excited to learn about this great school as you are. For our returning students, I look forward to getting to know and support you as you finish your high school years.

4worldlovers: For 30 years, we have operated an independent, Alberta Education accredited high school in central Edmonton. We offer academic and arts based classes to students aged 15 to 19, and sometimes older on a case-by-case basis. The purpose of the school is to provide opportunities for Edmonton’s marginalized Indigenous and other urban youth, to earn a high school diploma, develop skills that can lead to full-time employment and prevent a return to a life on the street. We want all students to become contributing members of our community. Our high school offers a flexible but structured environment with small class sizes. Students receive individual and small group supports to address their unique needs and bridge the gaps in their education. Our graduates are equipped to attend Alberta’s colleges and universities.
