The nurses both at the desk and the ones working with the doctors were very comforting and knowledgeable without judgement! Something I really value when receiving health care especially something as important and private as sexual health. Glad I gave them another shot! 4/5 stars only because of waiting times. Jade Reiter: I’ve been coming to the Birth Control Centre for the last 4 years. Majority of the staff are so super sweet and really go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and have all of your questions answered. I’ve only had two or three unpleasant experiences with a nurse or a doctor in the whole time I’ve visited the clinic, but I don’t think those experiences are an accurate representation of the clinic as a whole.I recently had my IUD inserted by Dr.Siu. She was amazing throughout the process, even though I was having a difficult time with it. Can’t recommend her enough. Today I saw Dr. Whalen-Browne for a follow up and she was so kind and caring towards me. She answered all of my questions no matter how small and never once made me feel like I was wasting her time or asking stupid questions. I really appreciate the great care I received from her today. I was so afraid to have any sort of pelvic exam done, but she made the experience much easier and less scary for me.And last but definitely not least, Nurse Barb! Barb is by far the best nurse I’ve ever seen not only at the clinic, but anywhere. She really goes above and beyond to take care of you, and help you with any problem you’re having whether it be medical or just life stuff. She’s extremely personable and she really shows that she cares. When I talk with Barb, I feel like I’m talking to a motherly figure. If it weren’t for covid, I’d be giving her the biggest hugs. You’re the best, Barb! Thank you for everything.Finally, thank you to all of the staff at the Birth Control Centre for everything that you do! I don’t want to go anywhere else for my *lady needs*.

Kim Huynh: I have struggled to find good Healthcare practitioners. I received what I consider to be my first great experience at this clinic! Staff were helpful both by phone and when I did a walk in. And could relate to me as a person instead of only as a random client. We got as much as possible addressed on the same day. Received a ton of useful advice and consultation RE: my IUD options and insertion as well as other concerns. And got some extra useful attention from the doctor I had. Very happy. I found Gianna Centre and they helped me out to get a doctor, doula and all the baby stuff I needed including an almost brand new baby swing! They were a blessing to me! Everybody was so helpful and even offered to deliver things to me as sometimes I do not have a vehicle even though I live on the different side of Edmonton. Also they had lots of give aways of diaper which really helped me.

I have learned everything from money management, to cooking classes, knitting, Indigenous beading, parenting classes, enfant CPR, gardening, discovering your dignity class, counseling, and how to run my own business through creating a market with the other Mom's. We sell our own handmade products like bath bombs, new and gently used baby clothes, handmade soups, farm fresh veggies, free run eggs, amongst many other items. After my Mom passed away I wasn't sure how I would manage everything. I love spending time here, having child mining available so I can learn new skills. Support through grieving my family members who have gone home to be with the Lord. I would recommend the Gianna Centre to any Mom's who are pregnant, or facing an unplanned pregnancy. Before you make any decisions know that you are not alone as you may feel, there are places like this where you can find resources and support for your decisions when dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. Thank you Gianna Centre for the kindness and support you have shown me during and after my pregnancy and for being such amazing role models to myself and my daughter. ❤

Jessica D: I never leave reviews but had such a positive experience here that I had to. I had an IUD removal under sedation here and cannot recommend this clinic enough. My previous experiences with IUD insertion/removal have been excruciatingly painful - they made it significantly more comfortable. Every staff member was so kind and helpful. And instead of those thin paper sheets, they give you soft fluffy blankets to cover up your bottom half with. If you have difficulty with IUD procedures, definitely give them a call - they were wonderful.

Anamika Arora: This doctors and staff at this clinic are absolutely wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Robinson and her staff. Dr. Robinson recently performed my hysterectomy. She always kind, caring, professional and took time to listen to my concerns. I would call when having issues and the staff would always call back with a response from the doctor within a few hours. Carmen, at the front end was absolutely wonderful. She always made me feel like any issues I was having with my medical condition was of the utmost importance. My surgery with Dr. Robinson went so smoothly and she visited me the next day in the hospital which I really appreciated. She cares about her patients and it shows. Dr. Robinson gave me my life back and I am so thankful to her and her staff. I highly recommend Dr. Robinson and her staff.

Dr. Kruger is by far one of the best doctors I have ever met in my life. His compassion and level of care is outstanding. I came in with issues that are not typically seen in my age group. He was able to explain everything to me in detail and reassure me that he could help with my situation. After meeting Dr.Kruger, I truly feel blessed. J.W. Crawford: We started our fertility journey just before COVID hit. It was a tough process, full of a lot of frustrations and pain. We were able to create a few viable embryos through IVF, and on the second implantation attempt, my wife successfully became pregnant. On September of 2020, we welcomed our son into the world. He is now almost three, and is a spark of joy in our lives.Make no mistake, it is an expensive process, financially, emotionally and physically. There is no guarantee, and we were prepared for failure.The staff treated us well, especially during the early stages of COVID, and we feel blessed today!

cortney murchie: If I read the reviews before transferring to PCRM I probably would have been hesitant. However, when RAH closed their fertility clinic, I followed me doctor to PCRM and although a long and emotional process, I’m glad I ended up there. I saw almost every doctor there. I went through numerous procedures and spent more time than I want to admit to there. With that said, I did get my happy ending and have my rainbow twins. I wouldn’t have been able to get there without the help of the caring and compassionate staff at PCRM. I felt heard and I felt cared for. During this process it is easy to point fingers and blame, but it’s a terrible situation overall and none of us wish to be there. Not only were the doctors and nurses wonderful - but I would not have gotten through my journey without Tammy at the front. She has so much compassion and empathy and genuinely cares. When I suffered a loss, she was there. It meant the world to me and I will never forget her ever.Please remember the staff at PCRM are people as well and only want the most positive outcome for you in whatever way it is. They never once pushed me off i procedures I didn’t need or for things that would cost me extra that weren’t necessary for my situation. Jasmyne Lang: Although it has been a difficult journey; with many ups and downs, the nursing staff at PCRM are absolutely wonderful people. Without them, I don’t know I could have made it through some of the most difficult moments in this experience. I am so grateful for their kindness and compassion throughout. Specifically, Lindsey, Adam, Corrine, and most definitely Saje, have become such integral parts of our lives and this process, and I feel incredibly lucky to have met them and to have had them to guide me through the peaks and valleys of infertility. Kayla Wallis: Like many others, I was a little nervous to attend this clinic after reading some of the reviews, but I have had nothing but positive experiences at this clinic. I do agree that face time with your actual doctor is very limited, but the nurses on staff are incredibly kind and helpful. They answered any questions I had and helped ease my anxiety. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant after my second iui attempt and I would definitely go back there for future siblings!
