Katherine E: We recently got married at the Foundry Room OEX this past weekend, we were very happy with how everything turned out. The planning process was simple, we planned our day in 6 months with ease. People kept asking me if we had everything ready and if I was stressed and I truly felt because of them I had no stress. The decor turned out amazing, and we only brought in a tiny little box ourselves, they had everything! Kay & Adi did a great job coordinating and helping me plan the day! The bartenders and all the other venue staff were all so kind and helpful.

Anwar Tuhl: was disappointing and substandard. There was miscommunication with many different parts of the event, and it felt very unprofessional. For example, there was a change in catering companies without us being informed at the time of booking, and there were multiple things that the owner promised that we later found out that the manager was not aware of in the first place, which caused confusion along the way. However, the planner tried to rectify some of that. The communication styles lacked professionalism and accountability at times.3. Regarding timing, the venue was not ready on time and guests arrived with things not being a 100% complete. This seems to be a consistent issue we have heard from other vendors as well, as it seems that the set up is often started last minute.4. The front door locks automatically at a certain time in the evening and guests were locked out and unable to enter the building. Although, this was resolved by the staff as they had an extra key.5. Related to food, the food was quite good and they were accommodating of special dietary needs, which was great! That being said, it arrived late, and the appetizer table was not ready when the first guests came in. The grazing table was not a “grazing table.” It was a couple of small trays that were definitely not enough for the number of guests we had. This was quite disappointing, especially, as we have asked for photos earlier on what to expect and we were not provided with accurate photos. The supper was good, but again, it felt that the last guests did not have options. The desserts were phenomenal and great, 100% recommend the desserts!6. The music system was great, and we loved it. However, the mics were not charged, and this caused issues during our event. It truly felt that the venue was under-prepared, and this was disappointing considering the importance of the events they host and the price they charge.Even though the experience we had behind the scenes was generally not the best, our guests had a great time and the event itself was beautiful, the welcome sign was great, and the building and décor were stunning, so thank you!

The venue is not only beautiful but Jody and her team made sure to help with all of my last minute needs. I would definately reccomend using this venue for your next event!

The staff was so amazing in helping us navigate and plan our COVID wedding. The space is stunning and we wouldn't have changed a thing. Laura C: !I had the pleasure of being part of a bridal party at a wedding last weekend, and I was so amazed by the well-lit venue with high ceilings, beautiful flower decor, and classy ambiance! I had many important tasks, as I was also the MC for the event, and the staff were prompt and accommodating to our needs. The food was excellent, and the bridal party at our table all turned heads towards each other and commented on how great everything tasted. The one thing I would do differently is thank Lao for all his help - from catering to our needs at the head table, organizing staff to provide chairs and arrangements to our games, and dimming the lights promptly for the slideshow. He really went above and beyond for everything we needed! I wasn't able to say good night and thanks - Thank you, Lao!

Richard Hamilton: We had our wedding at the Grand Imperial, and it was amazing! The ceremony was outside, and the setup was beautiful. The reception setup was also stunning. Jonah, the event coordinator, and Amy, the decorator did a great job. Leading up to the wedding, the staff were great to work with. If there were any questions or need to meet, they were always open to scheduling something. The day of the wedding Jonah and her staff work extra hard to make sure that everything runs smoothly and that the bride and groom only need to show up and enjoy the event.The chef for the grand imperial was incredible. The food was top of the line. Several people at our wedding said it was one of the best meals in their life and we couldn’t agree more. You have to pay for quality, so having a wedding at Grand Imperial is not cheap. But if you want to have a dream wedding with all the bells and whistles, I would highly recommend giving Grand Imperial a visit.

From the very beginning, we were able to tour the venue as many times as we wanted, and Sunny and his team were extremely responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Once we booked our package, we were in constant contact with Jonah, the Venue Manager, and all I can say is she is nothing short of amazing. From answering emails instantly to coordinating our entire wedding day smoothly and flawlessly, I was blown away by her attention to detail and how absolutely amazing everything turned out. Her entire team was kind, professional, and accommodating to our guests and everything we needed! Amy and her team took my vision for our decor and blew it out of the water. The ceremony space and venue were absolutely stunning, and we received numerous compliments on the space. The food was not only plated beautifully but was extremely delicious - all of our guests could not stop raving about how much they enjoyed it all! It’s A Dogs Life: Everything here is absolutely beautiful BUT please get new chairs !!! Your chairs are so tiny and so uncomfortable. For the price your clients pay for this venue you should have spectacular comfortable chairs.

Zunaira K: .We had a slight hiccup due to the unpredictable Edmonton weather, however, Sunny, Jonah, Amy, Sam and their teams were a force not to be wrecked with! They adapted to the situation and were patient and understanding with our guests. They made sure that everything went smoothly throughout the evening, checking up on us and making sure that we are ok.Overall, the food was delicious, and we still have people coming up to us on how everything was well prepped. The venue was extremely timely and kind in their communications, the staff were all very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The space itself was also gorgeous with a massive patio and a really awesome sound system. 10/10. Id highly recommend this space for any event!

Came to watch my cousins concert, there was a little mini bar, didn't have the biggest selection, but I guess I didn't come to drink lmao. There's a spot to drop off your coat which is a nice touch. Cool area being on the top floor getting to look out the windows and seeing whyte ave is pretty neat.

Bands sounded great on the sound system provided by the venue for the event. Great staff that operated the well stocked bar was appreciated by all! The event was very well organized by local music guru and supporter of the arts Jon Harmon. We would definitely attend similar events here in the future.

The facility hosted with ease all 30 employees and flowed well with lunch and Coffee's for 6 hours. Everyone had parking, it was a safe location, easy to find and the interior is beautiful.

Gugan Khangura: We had our wedding reception at the Mirage Banquet Hall last year and it was a great experience. From beginning to end, the owners took care of us and have always been extremely hospitable to our families. The decor was exactly what we had envisioned and the custom green wall was a big hit amongst our guests. More importantly, the food was spectacular. We enjoyed the food sampling so much that we even had them cater on our wedding day prior to the reception. Also, an extra special thank you to Saab for going out of his way to accommodate everyone.

She was always replying to our emails and would meet us at the location at any time if we needed to be there for an appointment. Ashley and Aaron Reklow: We got married at Always Occasions this last Saturday - our guests absolutely loved the space! Our wedding went so smoothly the entire day. As a wedding planner myself, there were a lot of boxes I was looking to be checked from a venue and overall we were really pleased with the support we got from booking onwards!Some wins:- Set up and tear down went off without a hitch and our vision was executed perfectly!- The venue is situated next to other bars so it's simple for guests to have somewhere close by to go during cocktail hour- Lots of venue support from the coordinators, bartending staff is provided, beautiful chairs & tables, etc.Some cons:- Rehearsal Dinner - We had originally hoped to have our rehearsal dinner at AO the night before our wedding, but we found out close to this would no longer be possible due to another booking - This venue is very busy so be careful when planning your rehearsal dinner plans and make sure you have a backup!- The need to rent additional tables / Size of the venue. Would definitely recommend utilizing this venue for smaller guest counts around the 80 and under mark!Overall - this was a beautiful space. Our wedding went off without any hiccups that we were aware of and I couldn't be more grateful overall!Thanks a million to the AO team!

Marisa Maddox: . I made specific playlists & detailed info for the music which a guest was going to handle, but were assured Anna’s team was on it. Music didn’t play at times/the wrong song cued/playlists were shuffled when not supposed to/1st dance wasn’t faded, etc. The biggest issue was the Speaker. People couldn’t hear our MC & it wasn’t loud enough for dancing. I normalized volume levels on my iPod but not the backup, which was louder so used instead, but then songs were too quiet/loud, so I stood by the speaker all night controlling volume/skipping songs. We could have hired a DJ/sound system, but were assured that the speaker was sufficient & they were happy to control the music.At pick up next day, most boxes were thrown out/strewn between 2 units. In our hunt to locate our things, we found buffet chafing dishes & late lunch leftovers sitting out on the floor with food, which we would have gladly taken home. Unpacking later, table cloths were missing, a picture frame was broken & 2 ornaments were broken prior to being put in their boxes

Every detail was thought out and from a guests point of view, everything went off without a hitch. They were constantly cleaning to ensure everything was tidy and they made sure to be as discrete as possible. In addition, the staff was kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Always Occasions to anyone looking to host an event there.

Julia Kirvan: We had our ceremony and reception at always occasions and it was perfect. Everyone loved our venue and we would highly recommend it to anyone. We loved the day of coordination and the venue does all the set up and tear down which was super important for us and our families to have a stress free time. Beautifully decorated and amazing staff. Bartending was great. We broke a few glasses and someone was there to clean it up immediately. The venue even made a little video for us and gave us a gift which was so special and lovely.The only downsides were that on the day of our wedding there was a farmers market in the parking lot which we were not informed of. We had told all our 80 guests that there was a huge parking lot and then it was full of the farmers market so that added a lot of stress on the day. There was also no water for our guests during the dinner portion so one of our guests was going around giving everyone water almost as if they forgot about water because the wine service and everything else was great.We would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking and are so happy we had our wedding here at always occasions!

Bryanne helped to coordinate our rehearsal run through and the day of our wedding as well. She was also an absolute delight to work with, she helped everything for the day of our wedding to run smoothly. She is so patient and kind and went above and beyond on so many things to make sure they were just as we imagined. I would recommend this venue and these ladies to anyone and everyone to make their wedding day dreams come true too!
