DAVID “56 STRAIGHTLEG” LIFESON: I really feel bad for nurses and doctors at the ER rooms in Edmonton. There isn't one doctor or nurse in there that wants you to wait because they're lazy and have bad attitudes. They are burned out Beyond burned out and I can tell that by looking at them and I don't know how they do it and when really want to comes down to if they need to just shut the emergency room is down if they can't do any better than what they're doing because I can walk in there be in and out in an hour or wait eight hours and just before they call me in there's been a serious car accident and they're dealing with that there's no easy answer but don't take your frustrations out on the doctors and nurses they are doing the best they can do with what they have and everybody thinks when they go in there they are special, guess what you stand in line with the rest of the people and watch out for sick people vomiting beside you sometimes they don't hit the bag and you get puked on

Matthew: I have been here multiple times with my partner and every time we have been seen in a fraction of the time it would take at other ER’s. Nurses and doctors have gone above and beyond to ensure my partner is comfortable and taken care of. Building is old but it does nothing to take away from the impeccable care we have received!
Maeghan Wilkin: Good experience this far, we are new to Alberta and had complications with my sons health card, they were very helpful.
Emily Manderscheid: I was in and out within 2 hours with the proper antibiotics and was treated so well by staff! I was so scared and in so much pain and I felt super comfortable and well taken care of the whole time!

MarieLouise AV: after the doctor at the walk-in clinic urgently asked me to go to the hospital. Left 9 hours later after blood tests & CT-scan with a diagnosis & antibiotics prescription.The nurses checked on me regularly, the beds were clean, the blankets were warm. The doctor who saw me was professional & understood the urgency of my pain. We thought I will need appendectomy, but to our relief I didnt need surgery.All in all, I am thankful for free healthcare and for selfless healthcare workers who do their very best to help us.

K and H Evermore: Last month I went through the most terrifying situation of my life, and the UAH ER team were so incredibly supportive that it made the best of my bad situation.Wait times are long, but this has nothing to do with the staff working there… it is about triage and resources! From my point of entry to leaving was about 10h, BUT in that time I had several assessments, bloodwork done, and had extremely empathetic experts take the time to explain to me what was going on and a solid plan going forward; how anyone could expect this done any faster is beyond me. I felt respected, listened to, and treated like an human being - this should be how every encounter in healthcare is. Upon my departure, I was linked up with a clinic specific to my illness which I have been able to access to begin my recovery.I can’t emphasize enough how thankful I am that the ER team was so amazing. For privacy reasons I won’t do any specific shout-outs, but I really hope that the team working the weekend of April 1st know how wonderful they are!!!

Roz Macooh: I went in with what might have been an emergency surgery thing. Don't know how long I waited but it wasn't that long, maybe a couple hours. Had the CT, ruled out the worst, given a prescription and went home. All given with a smile and reassurance.

Alysha Hicks: If you use this ER as it is intended to be used , for emergencies , you will receive care in a timely manner. If you use the emergency room as a place to discuss an issue that should be first examined in a GPs office, then I would expect to wait. Either way , this ER provides quality and compassionate care . Dr Luc was helpful , knowledgeable, non judgmental and personable.
Jordi C: . But I wanted to leave a review about my experience today with my son. The nurses and front staff were phenomenal with my child. Even the techs taking his blood work were wonderful. I felt heard and validated in my concerns for my child by Dr Seymour and she was great with my son. Thank you so much for all that you do here!

Letisha Byrne Baker: I had to take my 6 year old son to the hospital Thursday sept 8th around 830 pm, he was really labouring when it came to breathing. My apologies I don’t remember the first two ladies name that we encountered but - the First Lady at the door handing out masks got my son into triage right away after seeing his breathing. The lady in triage got my son into a room immediately after getting all his info, and the nurse Shiny and Dr Lewis saw my son immediately after getting in the room. They got his breathing under control the respiratory specialist- I can’t remember his last name first name Peter, was sooo pleasant. The X-ray tech was amazing with him as well. I just have to say wow! I have never had such an amazing emerg experience and it was the most terrifying night of my life. My son is on the mend now thanks to this hospital and their quick action! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

They saved my new born life, and still follow him to this day.The psych ward 15 years ago was so kind, compassionate, and respectful 15 years ago when they truly helped a good friend of mine.And here today I'm in hospital overnight with surgery and they are so kind, gentle, and listen to my needs on unit 22.This hospital is all around fricken amazing. Chris B: Sitting in the waiting room now, on a Saturday afternoon - this is a good place to come if you're not sure you need to go to an emergency room or not. HealthLink nurse said be abundantly cautious, and i got the same advice here so I'm just sitting and waiting to see that happens.Triage was fast, the waiting room was good. I'm not sure what else can be expected considering the state of healthcare. Thank you NCHC staff, you're all awesome.

ava: i had a positive experience at the ER here. sure you have to wait but thats expected at the ER. i was treated by the nicest nurses and doctors and went through testing to find out i had a ruptured ovarian cyst. i want to thank them for their kindness after seeing them treated poorly by other patients in the waiting area. healthcare workers deserve respect
Calvin Enokson: The medical care is great quick and efficient. Remember that this is mostly an emergency medical facility. The emergency should not be used for non-emergency medical issues. 2023 Parking is being changed to a pay to park lot, so there will be very few stalls until the change over is complete.

Shaeanne kae: If its literally an emergency they will get you in very fast. I didnt even have time to sit down with my daughter before we were called back because it was a real emergency. People come here with an ear infection and a tummy ache and expect to wait less than 4 hours... please, look up urgent care and use it appropriately when needed..

Mel M.: Jennifer from MRI was super nice, sweet and accommodating, I went for my MRI appointment this morning and for some reason it was canceled by mistake, but Jennifer the technician was so gracious, she rebooked me on the spot and did my MRI fifteen minutes later, great technician and great service, all the best to her and staff.

Jamie Mulligan: The staff here was the best I've ever seen at any doctor or medical place ever. So kind and funny and professional. Both triage nurses were so nice and I listened to PJ talk to each person as if she knew everyone, making everyone laugh, very kind, handing out stickers and just being pleasant.The doctor was fast and nice and just had an excellent persona. The lady that put me in the room offered me water, a blanket and reassurances.The waiting room chairs were comfy and the bathroom was clean and the lobby was easy to find.Very good experience here. I appreciate all the staff so much, being sick is stressful enough. They really made a difference.Thank you guys for your service.
Tina Eedens: Went here for a broken arm. There was 11 people ahead of me to be registered and several other waiting to be seen. Was impressed with the efficiency and smooth flow. In total I was there for 3 hours tops with xrays and cast.
Alan Peirson: Went there with what I thought was a badly bruised hip and sprain ,didn’t have to wait very long,X-rays showed a fractured hip in 2 places,doctors & staff were excellent,they arranged a transfer to a different hospital where I had hip replacement surgery the next day,
Sabrina Huot: . Once put into the room I was assessed by a very kind nurse. The doctor came to see me shortly after the nurse assessed me and order a few tests. I had all of my tests done within 30 minutes, the longest part was waiting for the tests to be reviewed and for the doctor to have time to see me to go over the results. All said and done I was at the clinic for around 3.5 hours, which I think is fantastic considering that's how long I likely would have waited at an Emergency room before I would even get to see a doctor.Very grateful for this clinic and will definitely go back should I ever need to.My best advice would be to call 811 before you go to this clinic or to Emergency to make sure your symptoms require urgent care, otherwise, you may be waiting quite a long time.
Tee Na: The best Health Centre. I got all my testing done and all the staff were extremely nice to deal with. I definitely will be back here. Extremely great parking as well.
Iris Albrecht: The amount of treatment I received for my medical issue was amazing. I had to come a couple of times for follow up medical treatment. No one was rude, short tempered, emotional, no rolling of the eyes. And listening and discussing. This is the way a critical care clinic should operate and treat patients.
