Delton School is full in planned classes in Kindergarten and the Regular program. Only a Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will now only accept resident students in Grades 1-6 who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

School is a place where we learn, work and play together every day and our goal is for every student to feel happy and safe while learning at Mayfield. The elementary program for kindergarten to grade six students promotes literacy, numeracy and well-being in our classrooms. We work together with students to build confidence using creativity and problem solving in all subject areas. All students are unique in their learning style and our teachers deliver instruction in interesting and inviting ways to engage students. We enjoy and celebrate students’ individuality and create dynamic learning experiences that nurture student success. We believe that reading and writing are an important part of learning and promote a culture of literacy with all students, including students who just need that extra bit of attention who are both developing their literacy skills as well as those who have these skills mastered.

The Interactions program at Mayfield School is also a Division Site for students with autism in grades 1-6. Our Pre-Kindergarten program builds children's strengths and skills in a playful, language-rich environment. The program is for children with severe needs who are between the ages of 2 years 8 months and 4 years 8 months old by September 1 of the year they are attending. This half-day program offers ongoing access to specialized support at school (e.g., speech and language pathology, occupational and physical therapy), classrooms that offer appropriate skills and strategies that support each child’s learning and growth, and a strong partnership between family and school.

New for the 2023-2024 School year, we are excited to offer the Cogito Alternative Program in Kindergarten through Grade 3, alongside our high quality, Regular programming for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6.

At Lansdowne School, our small size is our strength. Built in 1968, Lansdowne School has a rich history as a diverse community of students, teachers, staff, and parents. Lansdowne School has had as many as 41 languages spoken among its population, exposing students to the vibrant multicultural fabric that makes up Edmonton, Alberta, and Canada.

Over the years, Lansdowne School has maintained a modest-sized student body drawing from communities around Edmonton, that’s continued to develop the school’s “small town” feel. We are excited to announce that Lansdowne School will be offering Cogito programming for students in K-3, in addition to our regular program, in the 2023-2024 school year. Space in the Cogito program is limited. Please contact the office at 780-434-3160 to learn more.

Kindergarten Open House for both Regular and Cogito programs will be held in person on Thursday, February 16th, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 pm. Presentation to start in the gym beginning at 6:00 pm.

If you have completed the digital registration for the Cogito program, you will need to bring your child to school for a "meeting for success."

The meetings for success will provide us with information to discuss your child's readiness for the expectations and demands of the program. These meetings will be held Tuesday, March 14th and Thursday, March 16th at 2:30 p.m. Confirmation of date and time will be sent in March.

Parents and students would arrive at 2:15 p.m. School Administration will use the evidence and observations collected during the ‘Meeting for Success’ to engage parents in a conversation about the child’s readiness for the expectations and demands of the program. These meetings are an important way to connect with our new families and students, and this connection is vital to student success in the Cogito program.

GRADES 1 - 3 NEW REGISTRATIONS: New registrants interested in the Cogito Program can be asked to provide a copy of their latest Progress Report. School Administration can use this to engage parents in a conversation about the child’s readiness for the expectations and demands of the program. Levels of achievement are not used as the sole determining factor for the child’s readiness for the program.

Sifton School is a special place to learn and grow! We serve approximately 280 students in programs such as Full-Day Kindergarten, Regular grades 1-6, and the Division centre Behaviour and Learning Assistance Program. Sifton School is an energetic, inclusive, safe and caring school!

At Sifton, one of our greatest gifts is our diverse student population. Our students represent more than 30 cultural and language backgrounds.
