Shanaya Stad: We showed up with pockets and bags full of change to afford to go and the employees assisting us were patient, kind and even slipped in a discount for the occasion. The film was enjoyable and the popcorn was delicious. 10/10 would recommend this experience.

Emmitt Donnan: There really are few places like it left. Since the Princess Theatre closed, it truly is the last venue in our little area to see movies new, old, cult, foreign and the whatever else. They do themes, interactive viewings and have a terrific staff of volunteers that are always super friendly. And as a Uni student, I really can't beat their prices. Please continue to support this place.

It's a place which drips timeless nostalgia, it has character, comfort, it's decor is vintage and the theatre is well maintained and very well kept.Staff are very kind and clearly enjoy being a part of the Metro.It's the theatre experience from my childhood, and it is marvelous.They have a constantly changing lineup, and offer email updates on upcoming features and festivals.They run an extraordinary wide range of genres, classics, and modern alike, and host film festivals . They even feature a 'Saturday Morning Cartoon' themed pyjama party, featuring classics as well as cereal!!If you've never been, I would certainly recommend you do.10/10

Cory Jasper: I've been here many times, mostly to the VIP theaters. Always have had a good time, whether the movie was bad or good. In seat services is awesome. No standing in line is definitely where it's at. You can order anything from beer, cocktails, and highball drinks. There is also a menu of kitchen appetizers and classic movie fairs, like popcorn, pop, and candies. Adults only in VIP is genius.
Val S: It could be the nature of the theatre business but the place was not crowded. This might be due to the fact it was a Tuesday. Clean theatre and of course great popcorn.

Deborah Keith: Love going to the Princess Theatre on Whyte!
A Davis: Temporarily closed at the moment, but pre-pandemic, this movie theatre, together with Metro Cinema, were standouts. Two screens available for your viewing pleasure, very reasonable ticket prices and your choice of ground or balcony-level seating.Like Metro, Princess Theatre allowed audiences to experience the beauty and wonder of the independent film world in a comfortable setting.Hopefully this gem will re-open again soon.

Kenton Boutillier: Always a charming theatre. We were able to book some space for a private function and all the staff was very helpful and quite accommodating. Followed pandemic and theatre guidelines faithfully and it was a great time.

Sue Vemi: Had a great experience last night with the VIP theatre. All the typical pluses: seats were super comfy, really enjoyed the popcorn and pitcher of sangria with the movie. But the best part was our server, Diego, who treated us exceptionally well. Thank you!

James Wynnychuk: As a infrequent movie goer, I must say that the VIP experience to see the new Barbie movie was superb. We arrived an hour early and enjoyed excellent cocktails, delicious and varietable food, and a kind and friendly staff. One criticism is that the servers could have been more organized and attentive however, frequently had to chase them down for more drinks and the bill.All in all however, the lounge, the live entertainment, the bar, the cocktails, the server service in theater, the excellent leather reclining chairs with heater and 4 way motion and pre-select seats were all amazing.The value is good for tickets at 50$ each. Enjoy no line ups and an exclusive lounge too. This is the premium movie experience I want.
noble newt: Great avx experience, don't like the robot ticket sellers and automation and perhaps the glass infront of the projector needed cleaning but not sure. Other than that very clean and no complaints meaning hundreds of not thousands of things operated perfect behind the scenes like maintenance and janitors logistics etc

Ashford Nehaul: World class staff. All staff very caring for disable customers. Sunday August 27th 2023. I showed up one hour early for the imax movie. I walk with a cane and a brace. I am also hard of hearing in both ears. The staff were wonderful and made sure that I found my seat and helped me with my drinks and meals. The best staff who care deeply about the customers. Thank you so much staff You are the best.

Grab your own popcorn, drinks, snacks and concession food then head to the counter and pay for your ticket and food.The concession has pretzels, hotdogs, pizza, pretzel dogs, ice cream and more.The premier experience gives it a more private experience with walls, table, place to hang your coat and out your purse!Defiantly my new go to theatre

Dipan Das: A really weird movie theater. It shows all sorts of movies from different languages and most of the time it seems empty. Kinda boggles my mind on how they make money. The other day three of us went to see a Bengali movie, and literally there were just the three of us in the movie theater. We were happy to watch a Bengali movie in the theater in Edmonton even though it's about a 40-45 min drive from my place. Nevertheless except for the long drive, I really don't have any complaints. Please keep on showing more movies in other languages including Bengali movies.

Mel Plante: The movie was great, but the wait time for concessions was extremely long. The crowds of movie goers were a lot to handle for the young staff. Many minors in attendance were disruptive.
S. S: Nice location. Not as busy as others. We went to see little mermaid. The concessions are quite expensive so be prepared to spend about $20/ person for a popcorn pop and candy. Make sure you have scene points card so you can start saving on future tickets. I don't like how only the top two racks of candies are available to pick from when ordering a combo. Very misleading. They really need to organize that better. Maybe put the treats that you can only choose with combos up at the front and not 4 rows where the bottom two are the rows you really want but they aren't included 🙄. Also the lady at the front asked me if I wanted to pay extra to add butter to the popcorn, but when I was passing by where you give the tickets to walk in, there are butter stands with all the condiments. That was very confusing so don't pay for butter, just get some before you scan your tickets off to the side.Follow for more real authentic no bull**** reviews from this mama of four❤️
