JustCook 5th St. Food Hall: what do users think?

naomi: Sooo good! Food was amazing! So many choices. We picked randomly off various menus and everything was delicious. Ambiance was perfect and staff were helpful and fun. We loved the cocktails and our fav dishes were brussel sprouts, chicken skewers and brushcetta! Will be stopping by again soon.

Ana L. Calderon: Epic is an exceptional spot, as the name suggests. You need to visit. Their menu accommodates different types of preferences and cravings. All of the "Chef in Residence" menus are well thought-out. The only thing in common between them is how great the taste is. All the menus are good together and for good reason. We've tried their cocktails, too, and the wine is excellent and fitting with the spot, all great! The servers are friendly, too. Highly recommend!

Tattoos by Fawn: My fiancé and I eat out a lot. A LOT. We’ve been walking passed this place for a few weeks now between our studio and parking and finally stopped in to grab a bite.Let me say it’s been years - YEARS - since E V E R Y bite we ate was amazing. We had their ribs, baked beans and Mac & cheese. Even the coleslaw slayed. COLESLAY.You will not be disappointed. Between the food, the atmosphere and the AMAZING staff, this place will knock your socks off.

Kyla Roberts: We first started off at a brewery across the street, but the service was terrible, it was very hot inside, and the tables and floor were filthy. We left and saw Epic across the street and oh man! What a difference!! Tony provided us with excellent service, our food and drinks were delicious and arrived very quickly, and we enjoyed the patio atmosphere. We had such an excellent time we had to brag about it online! Thank you Epic for getting it all right - you set the standards high for customer service!! We will gladly recommend you to everyone we meet!

Ryan Olson: Epic is a really special spot. Their menu accommodates a myriad of preferences and cravings. All of the "Chef in Residence" menus are well thought-out, each with multiple very strong entries. The only thing in common between them is how great the taste and value are! Meat Shack is sort of the backbone for their operation and for good reason. Each of their BBQ meats is made with great talent. Special props to them for their Mac and Cheese too - so tasty. We've tried a lot of their cocktails too, all great! The servers are friendly and accommodating too. Highly highly recommend!

Matt McComb: You need to try this restaurant ASAP. They had a smokey margarita which I was hesitant to try because I had one at a separate restaurant the night before and it sucked but this one was awesome. The brisket might be the best I have ever had. Really enjoyed this place! 10/10 would recommend.Recommended dishes The Og Burger, Crack Fries, Beef Brisket, Meat Shack …

Patrick Wirt: Everytime I visit Edmonton this is my go to spot to catch up with my friends. This restaurant offers a excellent variety of plates both big and small - perfect for sampling different cuisines, satisfying cravings and sharing with friends. They have an unbelievable craft cocktail menu that had me ordering new drinks all night. I highly recommend their twists on the old fashioned as well as both of their espresso martini's for any coffee lovers.

jesse young: Came here for lunch on Sunday and the experience was phenomenonal. The manager came out and took very good care of our party of 4.The concept is very interesting and allows for a diverse array of food and drinks. Cocktails were on point and service was prompt. Will be back for sure.

M Semaka: My wife and I attending the grand re-opening of JustCook Kitchens under the EPIC brand and had a great evening! We enjoyed the experience of tasting a variety of dishes from different cuisines all in one restaurant, along with tasting a number of their unique cocktails. The individual chef's did an superb job at creating a menu that was not overwhelming, which included a number of dishes we've never tasted; the tomato galette was our favorite! The prices were very reasonable and we are very much looking forward to our next visit!

Fred Toop: Out exploring and this mom and pop diner has been on my radar for a while. It is a true mom and pop neighborhood place. So if you expect fine dining then this isn't the placeBut if you want a good solid breakfast at a fair price, this is for you.Good coffee, food as good as the pictures, friendly service, and nuthin fancy..I had eggs benny, cooked right with real pan fries not freezer to fryer hash browns, and a fruit cup. It went well with the fresh ground coffee.

Stephan “Dufus” Doiron: This diner has the type of menu choices you would expect, I also had excellent, friendly service. Eggs Benny came with hash browns and a fruit cup. Eying a bunch more items I'm looking forward to trying next time. Great little hidden hole in the wall gem. Not too busy when I came around 9am Saturday, got a table right away.Parking: Strip mall location, parking not an issue.

David Chow: Fantastic service, great tasting breakfast on a good price. I would recommend this place for breakfast.

Vinze Doroy: Rating - 10/10Price - $$Comment - Really soft, flavorful and sweet buns. It has 6 slices of bannock. It is much worth it rather than buying single slices.Poutine

Heather Chappell: so we can come back. I recommend everyone to come try this restaurant, it’s seriously the best food/service that I’ve ever experienced. I will be dreaming of the chicken cordon bleu until the next time we come. And we will be back!

Russ Dingle: Everything was great, accommodated a celiac member of our family very well, quick service and good food, very delicious bison stew, burgers and fettuccine and for our celiac guest a custom done blackened salmon and mashed potatoes - server was excellent, a good experience.Dietary restrictions: Celiac accomodating

Zayde Vogler: Incredible, the food was fantastic I had the salmon bowl this time but I've been here a couple times and have had the elk pasta and the sea food morney which were both good but the salmon bowl is my favorite dish here, they also have great bannock. The service is amazing everyone is super nice and lovely to talk to, we had danny which may be my favorite person ive ever been served by. It's also quite fast service which is always a plus. The atmosphere is amazing I love the decorations and with everyone being so nice it makes for a amazing place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Fantastic restaurant highly recommended.

HOM: what do users think?

Tim Bo: So the 5th street food hall is a great place to bring a group, so many delicious food options, but Hom is what I order from every time, the Khao soi is A-maze-ing, so flavourful and warms the heart, also had the som tam, spicy and delicious, a friend had the satay, and I can easily say, there isn't a way to go wrong at Hom!

R M: You have to try the Khao Soi!!! It’s the best in the city!

Pam Kirby: . It’s a spot you intentionally tell others about so you can dine here again.

Jarad Hanas: Delicious food. Great staff. The chef is incredible.

Kubie: Great food and great staff!

Melissia Waltont: HOM dishes are ummmm, well indescribable. For food, that is crazy to think. But Chef Greg's flavors, I'm finding the words....I'm a foodie and I have tried countless amounts of South Eastern dishes and Chef Greg's is number 1. The soups, hearty, bursting with flavors and spice. Salads are fresh, and authentic. Go, eat and be amazed by such talent.

Shannon S: Excellent flavor. Can't wait to try more!

Hathaway's Diner: what do users think?

Landon Bartels: I had the "Big Breakfast". It was perfect. Exactly as it was advertised. Both BIG & it included everything!. ALL the breakfast meats. 3 eggs, toast & hashbrowns or pancakes. Also they are very accommodating to kids. As the waitress & owner said "We'll make anything you want, for the kids, just ask". 10/10 I'll return again & again.Kid-friendliness: They are very accommodating to kids.

Todd Tomlinson: The food is fantastic and the staff are awesome. Highly recommend 👌

Nicole Mikaluk: Delicious diner food, fast service, and extremely friendly staff all around! Try their pistachio pie, best pie ever!

Darryl L Pillipow: I’ve been at Hathaway’s Diner in the past multiple times but not since new ownership. Greeted promptly with a smile. Service was top shelf. Food was fantastic. Pricing is very competitive. Atmosphere was casual and friendly. I’m not big on deserts but made the choice to have a signature piece of pie. My group had the Banana Cream, Pineapple Pistachio and Strawberry Shortcake Pie. All three were delicious. Thanks for the great food, smiles and friendly atmosphere. We’ll be back…..The pricing per person was approximately $25 per as we had everything we possibly could.

Stephanie Macdonald: OMG… First off this is a tiny little restaurant and it gets busy fast as it is only open for breakfast and lunch so make sure you get there in time to get a seat and eat. The food was amazing and the portions are HUGE.. I forgot to take pictures but we both only managed to eat about half of our meals and brought the rest home with us which was our dinner. I was disappointed because I REALLY wanted to have a slice of their homemade pie which people were buying whole pies all over the place. I asked a few people around me which were their favourite pies and it came down to coconut cream and banana cream which neither were my favourites lol but I asked the waitress how much they charge for a whole pie and don’t quote me but I believe she said $36 which for the size of those pies is a great deal. I personally was checking out the Oreo cream pie or the strawberry cheesecake pie but my sister was buying so it was a no lol. The owner was very friendly and sat with us for a few minutes and when I asked him about the puppy pies he actually brought one to me and explained how he came up with the idea and how the humane society had contacted him and they are now going to be available all around the city. I was very impressed by this and said that I would definitely be showing my doggie daycare to see if they would be interested as well. The only thing that was a little bit underwhelming was the service, the waitresses were very friendly but, we found that they paid more attention to the regular customers than to new people. My sister received her meal first and I was waiting and we could see me meal sitting in the window and then once we finished eating we were waiting about ten minutes and still had not received our bill and then I finally had to ask the waitress for the bill. All in all we will go back again because it was really great food but hopefully we will become one of the regulars and get great service lol…

Franky Wood: Though when we went there they were shutting the kitchen down for maintenance they welcomed us in, apologized for the inconvenience and got us some pie. They were so authentic that it felt like home. The owner and the servers are genuinely kind and very caring people and the pie was incredible.Let’s also not forget the fact that THEY SHUT DOWN THE KITCHEN FOR CLEANING & MAINTENANCE!That speaks for itself on how much pride they take in their restaurant.Keep this gem alive, Edmonton needs places like this.

The Workshop Eatery: what do users think?

Byron Wallis: Some of the best food we had in Edmonton. Great service. Plenty of gluten free optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten intolerant options

Emmanuel Shakir: The service was great, the food was super fresh, and ingredients that complemented each other to make the perfect dish. The room is very airy with lots of natural lightParking: Lots of ample free parking

Alan Varughese: , but it lamb

Stewart Hutchings: My sister Lee and I had Lunch today at the work shop. We were greeted and served by marina. Friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu sauces and specials. Prompt service and attentive service through out. An absolute pleasure to have her assist us.We had the red wine beef short ribs on a bun mine with salad and hers with chips. Tasty and mildly spicy.I am a fan of all the different restaurants Paul manages and have enjoyed beautiful meals at the Hayloft and exceptional Burgers at the Woodshed.Paul and the Robert Spencer Hospitality Services are an outstanding community based organization that support charitable causes and services in Edmonton.

Sofina Bhullar: We tried a few different options here for both food and drinks. I was excited to try this place given the reviews in place but the food was a bit underwhelming and the drinks a bit too strong. I did like the London fog in my order tho. I have attached some pictures of what we had that day including the salmon ravioli, duck liver paté, Brussel sprouts, short ribs. The place wasn't busy when we arrived, but we were advised to make a reservation when called upon, so might be something to consider for your visit here.

Wendy Kautz: Workshop is our local eatery and as such we have dined there many times and have never been disappointed but our visit last night took our experience to a whole new level. From our arrival when we were greeted by our lovely hostess, whose name we failed to get unfortunately, until we walked out the door over 3 hours later, our experience was amazing. Our waiter Ryan made the evening. He read us well and was attentive and personable. As usual our food was great. It never disappoints and the addition of fresh ingredients from their garden kicked it up a notch. All said a very enjoyable experience.

Ashley: I made reservations for a birthday brunch, and the experience was amazing! The service was great!! I didn't get their names, but the hostess and the server that was with my group were great!! Caring and wanting to make sure we enjoyed our time there.I ordered the chicken and waffles... so good! I was completely surprised by the birthday plate because no one from the group asked them to do that. A lovely surprise!

S Lawton: This place is amazing! We were just in town for the night and wanted some real good food before leaving, so glad I found this place on Google! I will be back again and again while travelling through!Vegetarian options: I had THE best veggie melt here. It's awesome!

Culina on the Lake - Hawrelak Park: what do users think?

Amira Bere: and 15% curdled yellow cheese. I did ask if thats normally how it is and they said yes. The Breakfast sandwich is $8 just for the sandwich, not bad, but doesn't come with any sides like fries etc.Because their menu is small I expected better choices. But what they did provide was good quality other than he beer cheese.

Nikita Rosborough - Loyer: The staff is amazing! Friendly and excellent at their jobs! I also loved the bison burger, it was really good! Would definitely recommend!

Ryan Spotowski: Great space and better than your standard cafeteria food. Great selection of beer and beverages. Food took nearly 30 minutes.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with decent offerings

Justin Bigelow: Great place to sit down and grab a drink and a snack. Loved the selection of local beverages.

Evan Pearcy: Supports local. Bison burgers with a patio on the lake & licensed. Love it

Alexander Columb: Great little cafe with good portions and nice staffWould come backAlso they do not steal ducks, there are no ducks in the building!

Sherry Honey: It's Culina, what's not to love? House made menu items including meals, snacks, soups and that Halibut burger is sooo good. They give lots of local support to their menu including Little Bear gelato items. A beautiful addition to Hawrelak park and our YEG summer scene. Rain or shine, sit back and enjoy a well made coffee with a meal or snack. A true gem in our city!

Katie B.: Finding this place was such a pleasant surprise! It’s perfect to have a cafe here, and it’s super awesome that it’s more than just chocolate bars and chips, but actual food and local brews! I had the halibut burger and it was amazing, my husband loved the bison burger. The atmosphere is great and the staff is super friendly. We will be back! I’m excited to try their breakfast!

Clayton Schweb: Wait is worth it, beer is decently priced and gelato is amazing! Must stop in the park!
