Alain Charlebois: The project took 16 months in the making. From star plans, designs to finish key in hand. We only needed to move in. They did everything with the outmost transparency, professionalism and courteously to every detail. Our project manager, Dominic Emmelkamp and his site manager, Nick Harrington were there to answer all our needs and adjustments through out the 16 months. We never had to call or text twice for them to get back to us within the hour. Even with multi projects on the go, more than often they were picking up the phone on call. Hands Open and Alive: We first contacted Effect Home Builders more than 10 years ago to build our home. We brought them a custom design based around insulated concrete forms and they enthusiastically took on the project, even though it was an in-fill. Steve Mudri: My wife and I have been contemplating between buying an existing home or building another to get everything we want. We had looked at several homes and could not find anything we wanted at a reasonable price. We had never heard of Blackstone and wandered into the Woodhaven show home one afternoon and were quite impressed with the quality of the home and the price it was listed at. After sitting with Guneet for a short period of time, we became very interested. What we really appreciated is the fact that Guneet listened. She took careful notes of our wants and conveyed those Troy. Within only a few days, they quickly came up with a plan that we were very excited about. With the limited size of the lot, Guneet was very good at coming up with suggestions of how we could fit what we wanted into the available space. We were also impressed with the costs quoted for some of the changes we wanted to make. We felt they were very reasonable and we were being treated fairly and getting good value for our money. Guneet and Blackstone were very patient with us and had invested a fair bit of their time before they had a commitment from us. We are still in the final design stages and cannot yet comment on the build process but after our experience so far, we are confident that Guneet and Blackstone can get us to the finish line with everyone being happy.
