Elisabeth Amanya: Beautiful, great for photoshoot & a picnic

Shane Spurlock: Very tranquil and calm place to visit!

Bob Hawgood: Nice restful type of spot

Trevor Peacey: Unfortunately no bbq

Kirk Dewhurst: A wonderful building on the south east corner of the Government House property. This Korean pavilion is absolutely beautiful in its design and looks. It’s hand painted. There is information here that tells about the unique design and relationship between Alberta and South Korea. I have been here several times over the years and have always enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend coming here to enjoy this unique building.

Daniel Blais: This is a beautifully hand painted Korean Pavilion located on the Government House grounds. It’s nestled into the south east corner of the yard and is a nice quiet place to relax.Jeongja are traditional Korean pavilions built where humans and nature come together. This type of architecture illustrates the Korean love of nature through integration of natural materials. Jeongja are built entirely of wood and stone, using traditional joinery methods, without nails or screws. Jeongja are often hand-painted with colourful floral designs. Jeongja are usually situated to afford commanding views of the surrounding landscape. They can also be located at the entrance to a village and used for social occasions, or they can be designed as a summer retreat in a deep valley.

Chad Detoski: Used the Korean Pavillion for a dance video shoot. It's interesting to know about the relationship between Alberta and Korea. This low-key area was beautiful to visit on a sunny day.

Memoryscape: what do users think?

Kirk Dewhurst: Public artwork on the North side of city hall. It’s a cool installation that you can walk around in and through. It’s a City of Edmonton Public Art Collection exhibit. It’s a permanent outdoor display that you can visit anytime. It can evoke different emotions and thoughts. I walk by it all the time as I work downtown and frequently during my lunch break or after work see it.

Canada Permanent Building: what do users think?

Kirk Dewhurst: Built in 1910 this is Edmonton’s best example of Edwardian Baroque style building. For many years recently it was the Japanese Village restaurant and now it is vacant. Hopefully a good tenant will be found. I work downtown and see the building quite often and it’s sad to see it closed up. Fortunately it’s right beside the McLeod building so it fits well where it is.

Dolon Brown: Great peace of history hopefully some one someday restores it and makes it look cool!

Kelly Ramsey Historic Walk: what do users think?

Kirk Dewhurst: This historic walk is right next to the restoration of the facade of the original Kelly Ramsey building that was partly destroyed by fire. The facade is now incorporated into the Enbridge building. The restoration is beautiful and the time was taken to tell about the story of 2 men James Ramsey and John Kelly how they met and developed a retail store partnership. Spend 10 or 15 minutes or maybe a little longer to learn about some interesting history of Edmonton

Magrath Mansion: what do users think?

Gwen Taylor: Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

BRIAN FONTAINE: Visited on Weekend

Betheiah Storheim (Beth): to do so! I got my Dad to come along with me, and he's glad to have been there, too. The furniture, walls, decor - it's all ornate beyond belief, and so beautiful and charming in a very Edwardian way. The prior owners really put a lot of money and time into restoring the house, and it shows. It was very cool to be able to see almost the whole house - from the sitting room to smoking room/library, to dining room, to kitchen

Samantha N.: Beautiful grounds!! Such history!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …
