Ageless Laser YEG: Sodo is nuts. Period. The service was so good, the head chef, the head bartender and also the server came to greet us and made sure everything was beyond reproach. The cocktails are out of this world, good luck with the confit chicken wings, if you ordered honey garlic chicken in heaven, that's what you would be served. Good job SODO. Best Japanese fusion ever, my only recommendation is to get chopsticks.

PG: Overall: So so so delicious. I ate so fast I didn’t have time to take photos. We ordered the Truffle Butter Crostino with Culatello, very good but perhaps a bit too much butter for me. Second was the Fonduta Agnolotti which is a MUST try. The pasta was so soft and melts in your mouth when combined with the sage butter and grana padano. Third was the Pappardelle which was our favourite, almost didn’t even want to share this one.For dessert we had the Panna Cotta, perfectly balanced bitter and sweet and the perfect size for 2 people.For drinks we had the Carnevale. I like my aperol spritz pretty strong so I was hoping for a bit more flavour but nothing to complain about. They had a strawberry Bellini on special which, if you have the chance, you have to try. Probably the best drink I have ever had.Atmosphere wise, we were in the small dining area in the back. Seats are nicely separated so it stays quiet. Very romantic lighting and perfect for any kind of celebration.10/10 would recommend! About $150 for 2 people.

But what is up w all the chipped plates? That definitely took joy out of our experience. Here are your imported cheese and meats on a chipped plate. Raviolo on a chipped plate. If foods are detailed why not the plates? I guess if u are a busy restaurant u care less and less

Daniella Nielsen: I will come back here again and again and again and I’m bringing friends. My first visit to Bar Bricco was for my mum’s 60th birthday and it was such a wonderful experience for us. The food is Incredible, the wine is excellent, the service is terrific. It is quite dark, which isn’t the best but it gives the place a certain ambiance. The raviolo al uovo is the absolute most delicious thing on the menu. The agnolotti is so perfectly cooked. Caparzo wine is hard to find in Alberta. Skip the truffle butter crostini.

The food was wonderful let me get that out of way. Small but concentrated menu that appeals to the cocktail lover. What I want to convey is how amazing the service at the Bartop is! Tariq was our bartender and he explained cocktails to us like he was an absolute professional! Although he was young he could have been a mixologist in a past life from the passion I saw in him while working. He even handcrafted my lovely date and I handmade cocktails of his own design. 10/10 service 10/10 quality. If you come here I highly advise asking for Tariq when you do.

Chantel Boyd: A month ago I stopped in for a drink with my husband before going to watch a play at the Citadel. It was really busy so we took a seat at the bar. We had such a splendid time chatting with the bartenter who made me a special drink after I told him what I like. We ordered a few snacks and it was truly an amazing experience. The bartenter was kind and we loved watching him makes drinks. We for sure will be going back again soon.

Jane: My first experience at Cask and Barrel with my friends was so memorable I will definitely come back with more memories. The atmosphere was great I went on a night when the Good Vibes event was being held. Local DJs showcased their talent, the music was a very good vibe. The food was special because it was made with love. When food tastes good you know it was made with love. Cask and Barrel’s Greek salad made me fall in love with cherry tomatoes. They choose the best ingredients on the market and I can tell because their cherry tomatoes are the best I’ve ever had. They are strawberries in disguise! Because they taste exactly like that. Every dish was perfected dressed with mouthwatering sauces or dressings. I highly recommend the Greek salad and Penne Jambalaya! The prices are reasonable for what you get. The flavours, portions and presentation are there. Not only was all the food made with love but it was also served with love. David, our server, was an unforgettable star. He made my friends and I feel welcomed, well looked after and entertained with his friendly, charismatic and passionate service. The fact that he was serving alone on a busy night and didn’t show one ounce that he was stressed is profoundly commendable. He kept his cool, good vibes, smile and friendly service throughout our stay. It goes to show just how much of a natural he is at what he does. He always made time to check in with our table and always made a friendly and funny memorable way to converse with us each time. When we ordered things that weren’t available at the time he made sure to recommend a alternative that still would satisfy our craving. He really cared about getting things right. His efforts, passion for what he does and his good vibes/character make David standout he is a gift to Cask and Barrel and to the hospitality industry. He is an asset. A good vibe. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had.The food were excellent, the wine was divine, and the service exceptional and friendly.Ahi Tuna salad - The tuna was fresh and delicious, the cucumber and green salad was delicious, with a twist of curry in the sauce.Tomatoes Bruschetta - Served with a crunchy baguette and a delicious tomato salad, don't miss outI have to say the Octopus is a delicious dish that is perfectly prepared and is accompanied by a delicious olive tapenade. It melts in your mouth like butter!Even though we were so full, the lobster risotto was the perfect end to a great mealThe wine menu was unique and there was a 50% discount on Wednesdays so we enjoyed excellent Spanish wines. Dry Rose & VerdejoThe kitchen will always substitute vegetables and food-sensitive/allergy options whenever possible. Make sure you try the artichokes!Definitely one of my favorites!

One of our party has gluten intolerance and dairy allergy, and these guys understand how to ensure a safe and tasty meal.We just had tapas, but each was fantastic - grilled octopus, scallops, and huge shrimp were all gluten and dairy free. We also had Portuguese bread and a mixed mushroom dish that were incredible!We’ve been to Bodega and Sabor a number of times, and will definitely continue to return.

Anthony Neil Simpson: Wow. Had never been, stopped in after grand daughters Christmas concert. Had the tapa's with wine pairing and it was excellent! We've been to tapa's bars in Barcelona, Sitges, Terragona, Lleida, Girona, and all parts in between and these were as good if not better than any we've had in Spain! We will definitely make this a regular stop. It was also less expensive than a dinner for the 2 of us with wine at BP's!

I’d suggest the warm sausages on your board.

Could’ve had less fat on the ribeye and the burger was a little undercooked. The service was great and June was a lovely server! And the food, while not 5-star spectacular, was quite tasty and satisfying. I got a plateful of a ketchup-flavoured popcorn and then a big plate of nachos - the latter of which I intended to share but my friends got there too late, so I'd already scarfed it all down by the time they got there, lol. I guess I was hungry! Not so full of food that I couldn't also chug down a pint of Lucky, a can of Alley Kat Aprikat, and a rum and diet coke.Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian options. Popcorn, or salad, for ex. But most of the menu is meat-focused.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is right on street level and the washrooms are both on the main floor just across from the bar. You might need someone to hold the washroom door open though.

Jurate Motiejunaite: This is a great place to drop by on Tuesday evenings! It's much cozier inside than the outside decor would suggest. The food was great; the service is friendly and fast; and the atmosphere is amazing. Come by for Tuesday comedy nights at 9pm - different comics will cheer you up and/or make you explore the facets of human existence you didn't know bothered you. A great way to decompress!

Alison Dowsett: Brilliant spot for a glass of wine and nibbles after wandering around downtown. They have a wine preservation system to keep the open bottles fresh, which spares any disappointment at being served a glass of stale wine. No, this place is serious in what they do. The salami was melt.in.mouth. Cheese choices were happily left up to the monger and we ended up doing a tour of Québec. I have had some negative experiences with truffle oil and so was hesitant to try the truffle popcorn but it was prepared with other seasonings and a restrained amount of truffle oil. Really good! Even walked out with a box of crackers and some chocolates. Superb!
