At a time like this it is very helpful to have someone work out the details for us. Recommend Hainstock’s Funeral home. The facilities are very nice, including the live stream as most of our attendees were overseas.

Abbey Axelsson: As difficult as this experience was, I am grateful to the staff for treating me and my family with such kindness. The service was beautiful, and the staff took care of everything from beginning to end, allowing us to spend more time together, and less time on paperwork & planning. I’d like to particularly thank Anna, who was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond at every opportunity. She made us feel welcome & cared for, and I could truly feel her empathy for our loss. It was Anna who really made the painful experience bearable. Ami Patel: It was such a heartwarming experience. I went there for my father in law’s funeral. When I entered to the building our cultural music was already playing. There were pictures of him all over the place. Staff was well mannered they allow to do all of our rituals also they are very supportive. One of the staff members always with us if I need something. Overall very good experience.

Beyond professionalism, Brigitte was compassionate, informative and a source of comfort from the time Dad passed through his Celebration of Life. The entire team - John, Destiney, Heather, Sam and more behind the scenes, I’m sure - walked us through all the preparations and paperwork, and helped us navigate the complexities of such a loss with kindness, flexibility and attentiveness.
Roger Gamble: Overall pleased with the service I got from Marty and the Staff. Pricing was fair and they were open to helping where they could.Would suggest dealing with grieving people to time scheduling issues, for the the staff this is not always an easy job.

Every staff person that we interacted with was professional and compassionate. Each step of the funeral planning process was handled extremely well and with no complaints. And, in comparing notes with others, it seems that the prices at Serenity are likely far more reasonable than with other funeral homes.When my mother died, during the viewing I realized that one of her pieces of clothing wasn't quite right, which really wouldn't have been obvious to anyone else but me, but the staff at Serenity very graciously had it changed prior to the funeral the next day. I greatly appreciated it.After having seen Serenity handle two funerals so well, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. I will certainly plan to use them again in the future.

Sara Pierce: I have had the pleasure of dealing with simply cremations twice now, and will continue to go through them. In June of 2021 my mom passed away. At that time was full fledge Covid lock downs, However we wanted family to come say their goodbyes. They allowed us the opportunity to be with my mom without barriers and we were all able to enjoy some stories and have a nice visit before we said goodbye. They were professional then and they were professional this last couple weeks. Here this July my dad passed and we again went to simply. It was easy to talk to them, and they were so accommodating. I think saying good bye to my dad with family was just as nice if not better of an experience. As some others mentioned, they do not upsell you anything. There wasn’t pressure of any kind. I cannot thank them enough.Rest easy mom and dad. Thank you simply cremations for making these times of heart ache a little less painful. 3

While they did not give us an emotinally supportive funeral-home experience, we neither paid the fees for that nor expected it. They explained the entire process and were great to deal with.

They were very accommodating and kind. Operating a service such as this must be incredibly difficult - to be surrounded by death constantly. It was affordable and they accommodated our request for a service outside of their regular hours.

Debi Zimmermann: I can't imagine a more challenging job than easing the stress and trauma around handling a loved one's death- but the staff at Evergreen handled events around my mother's viewing and cremation with great compassion and professionalism. Catherine and Onika were extremely kind and accommodating and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I must also commend the staff who prepared my mother for her viewing for their meticulous care and attention to her make-up, her hair and her outfit. I'd heard horror stories about how this was handled elsewhere and was so relieved when I saw her.The grounds are beautiful and serene and the ducks, geese and squirrels add that element of aliveness to what would otherwise be a very somber setting. Highly recommend.
Darleen Robinson: I would like to say Thank You, to a lovely lady Lindsey Hunter!!!! My niece and I were at Evergreen on Sunday 25th of June to place flowers in rememberence, of my Mom's, & Grandmother's passing. Almost our whole family is resting there. 46 years is a long time to be gone, as so many have followed to this lovely resting place. I have a plot there as well, and was curious why I hadn't seen a plaque for my final resting place. We went in to find out and Lindsey, greeted us with the most pleasant smile welcomeing us. I can't explain how reassuring it was to have this young lady look after us. I felt surrounded by kindness and not overwhelmed by the fact I was at a Funeral Home. The Stigma, and somber feelings when a person goes into a Funeral Home wasn't there. All that we felt was like someone wrapped a comforting warmth around us and was there to do anything to help. She took so much time to explain, absolutely everything and then even more. Because we were discussing things I hadn't actually came for we were well informed of other services, never pushy, or badgering. I made a quick decision at the time and she said, to please go over everything and take some time. I did just that and realized I already had the other things in place and called her the next day. She was so accommidateing and helpful, never once making me feel obligated and pushed in anyway. She is and probably will be the only person I would talk to about any further changes I might make. lk leibel: Our mother pre-arranged and paid for her funeral years ago. When she passed earlier this month we had no idea how this pre-arrangement would expedite things and relieve us from many of the stresses we expected. Almost every detail was covered under the plan so all we had to do was make a call and attend their facility to fill out some paperwork. Within a few days of making the immediate arrangements, an after-care representative came to my home and helped identify all the agencies that had to be notified of mom's death and advised they would do this on our behalf. Every person we've dealt with at Connelly-McKinley has been professional, knowledgeable, and very kind during this difficult time. I would highly recommend Connelly-McKinley.

We were told by our friends that the whole ceremony, plus the luncheon were just great. Some even said that they favoured our arrangements better than a different funeral they attended. All I can say that I am extremely happy that my wife's funeral turned out so good, and we owe it all to Connelly-McKinley. Thank you.

The memorial video and a video of the ceremony were placed on a USB stick and a staff member delivered it to our hotel the next day to make sure that we had what we needed before we returned home. Cindy Kuhl: On one of the hardest days in the last year, Sarah Arnold and Shalea Prevost went above and beyond our family’s expectations and words can not describe how impactful their service was during our time of grief. Our previous experience with another funeral home was extremely negative. We were absolutely SHOCKED when they first offered their condolences, listened with compassion and shared in our grief at losing our mom in November and then our dad in May. They ensured our needs and wishes were met. From the smallest detail, ensuring jewelry was returned to the family, down to providing all the details of the paperwork involved, these ladies were amazing! We never felt the pressure to provide the ”payment” prior to the details being discussed. We felt at ease knowing our dad was in such good hands.

Both of these exceptional ladies had compassion, empathy and kindness towards my husband, myself and our entire family during the days following my father in laws passing. Jodi Byrne-Marsh: Park Memorial was amazing. These people have one of the hardest jobs on the planet. Constantly surrounded by sad people. Yet they maintain a loving, caring and respectful demeanour. My first contact was late evening jan 22 2021. My brother was found deceased in his apartment. They had someone there to collect him in an hour and a half. The 2 gentlemen that picked him up were so kind and thoughtful. I was a complete mess and they reassured me they would take good care of him. Next contact was with Brad. Once again very kind and helpful. We then came in and met with Nicole. She was thoughtful and walked us through my brothers arrangements so throughly Still keeping a kind disposition. Then today I received a call my brothers urn was to be picked up. Tracy sat down with me and was so compassionate to our story and even became emotional too. Which just showed me how much these people have to endure dealing with grieving people and attempt to not being that home with them. The level of care and compassion I received from everyone is very much appreciated and made a horribly traumatizing event seamless and as painless as possible. Bless you all and all your hard work.
