The Canadian Brewhouse (Edmonton Downtown): what do users think?

Sebastian Gregriov: My recent dining experience at Brewhouse downtown was elevated to an entirely new level, thanks to the exceptional service provided by our server, Justin. From the moment we walked into the restaurant until the last bite of dessert, Justin's professionalism, attentiveness, and warm demeanor made the evening truly memorable.Upon being seated at the bar , Justin greeted us with a genuine smile and a friendly welcome. He took the time to explain the evening's specials in a way that was informative yet not overwhelming, allowing us to make our selections with ease. It was evident that he had a deep understanding of the menu, as he answered all of our questions with confidence and enthusiasm.Throughout the meal, Justin's attentiveness was unparalleled. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring our water glasses were filled, and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our dishes. His timing was impeccable, never interrupting our conversation, yet magically appearing whenever we required his assistance. This level of service created a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.

Michael Mose: Great spot to pop in to watch a game or meet up after a Brew Bike Tour!

alex oboh: I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Canadian Brewhouse located in downtown Edmonton, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home.First and foremost, the service at The Canadian Brewhouse was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their extensive menu and drink offerings. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Whether it was recommending their signature dishes or providing timely service throughout the evening, they truly made me feel like a valued guest.Speaking of the menu, The Canadian Brewhouse boasts a wide selection of delectable options that cater to every palate. From traditional pub fare to mouthwatering burgers, pizzas, and a variety of appetizers, there was something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed their famous wings, which were cooked to perfection and served with a choice of tantalizing sauces. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was delivered promptly, maintaining its freshness and quality.Another standout feature of The Canadian Brewhouse was their impressive drink selection. They had an extensive list of craft beers on tap, both local and international, allowing me to explore and discover new flavors. The staff was more than willing to provide recommendations based on my preferences, ensuring that I found the perfect brew to complement my meal. They also had a great selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, catering to all drink preferences. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, with a spacious and well-designed layout. The Canadian Brewhouse offers a welcoming environment for both casual outings and larger gatherings. Multiple large screens were strategically placed throughout the venue, making it an ideal spot to catch the latest sports events while enjoying a delicious meal and drinks with friends. One thing that stood out to me was the attention to cleanliness and safety measures. The Canadian Brewhouse maintained strict hygiene protocols, which was evident throughout my visit. I felt comfortable and reassured knowing that they prioritize the health and well-being of their guests. In conclusion, my experience at The Canadian Brewhouse in downtown Edmonton was truly exceptional. From the friendly and attentive service to the mouthwatering food and impressive drink selection, everything surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I will undoubtedly be returning to The Canadian Brewhouse for more delightful evenings in the future!

Andrew Camron: Brendan is a swell guy and gave us great service. He used a big ol’ spoon to mix all of our drinks which was a nice touch. Never seen a spoon that big…..Definitely not frigged and will be back.

Henry Vu: and very refreshing. Slight hint of mango. Not too sweet or citrusy. Doesn’t have a lot of alcohol

Rge Rd: what do users think?

JD Hornbacher: Our server Rob was really knowledgeable and fun and helpful.Atmosphere was comfortable, and even the music and ambience of other people seemed to blend so well that we felt in our own little world even though we were surrounded by people.I appreciated how they called us the day before our reservation to ask about allergies, and if we were celebrating anything special

I G: Finally, a server that was amazing at her job. It has been years since I had true good service in a restaurant. She was knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. Food was delicious, although I would expect more than 2 tiny potatoes with my $80 steak... but the steaks were exceptional. Great wine list and pairing options. Definitely not a place for everyday dining as it is pricey, but we were there for a special occasion, and it was perfect. P.S. they don't have gingerale 😄Kid-friendliness: We were there with our 2 year old. They were very accommodating. Ours eats what we eat, so can't comment on the kids' menu. She loved the bison steak lol

Woodwork: what do users think?

Brandy Kowk: . The staff were warm and welcoming, the vibe was immaculate! We ordered an assortment of share plates and some cocktails. Tariq the bartender can only be described as walking art. He is a master of his craft and all his recommendations were top tier! The food was fantastic, the cocktails and personal service we received from Tariq were second to none! 10/10 we can’t wait to come back and enjoy the dinner menu!

Jenny Velazco: This restaurant exceeded our family expectations! Drinks were like something we’ve never tried before, not the usual ones you find anywhere, you can actually taste the different spirits and the fruit in them. Food blew our minds, best steak I had in a while and sides were so thought. I’ll give the spice chocolate mousse a 20/10 and a n even better review to the server, he knew the menu, ingredients and made the best recommendations, loved this place … it was not cheap but worthy of a nice occasion … thank you Jason for a wonderful serviceParking: There’s a public one just across the street

Colleen Wilson: Enjoyed dinner and desserts with two others June 17/23. Our combined comments are that this was the best dinner we’ve ever had in a fine dining restaurant! Quodo’s to Chef Rick and staff Saturday evening. When in Edmonton again we will be back. Thanks for a wonderful evening of fine food and drinks. See photo’s. Right photo the special that night. WOW!

Jack Hughes-Juneauj: I had the most perfect evening with a lovely stunning girl. Woodwork is the place to go if you want to impress and be impressed! Wow! The food was wonderful let me get that out of way. Small but concentrated menu that appeals to the cocktail lover. What I want to convey is how amazing the service at the Bartop is! Tariq was our bartender and he explained cocktails to us like he was an absolute professional! Although he was young he could have been a mixologist in a past life from the passion I saw in him while working. He even handcrafted my lovely date and I handmade cocktails of his own design. 10/10 service 10/10 quality. If you come here I highly advise asking for Tariq when you do.

Chantel Boyd: A month ago I stopped in for a drink with my husband before going to watch a play at the Citadel. It was really busy so we took a seat at the bar. We had such a splendid time chatting with the bartenter who made me a special drink after I told him what I like. We ordered a few snacks and it was truly an amazing experience. The bartenter was kind and we loved watching him makes drinks. We for sure will be going back again soon.

Kindred Food + Drink: what do users think?

Connie Thompson: A late lunch on a chilly day. Warm welcome, quick service, and attentive staff. I chose the short rib cornetto with side salad. The salad was fresh and the dressing a beautiful vinaigrette. The cornetto was absolutely superb with melt in your mouth beef, a beautiful salsa verde, and the perfect amount of melted cheese. Thank you Kindred for warming this cold day!

Jennifer A.: I have to thank the Kindred staff for going above and beyond by helping us celebrate my coworkers birthday! They made the day extra special!Service: 5/5 …

Mike Finlayson: Had a very important dinner at Kindred with some elaborate planning involved. Sydney the hostess and Taylor the server were absolutely crucial in helping my dinner surprise go off perfectly for my special guest and we had a great night thanks to the great food, great service, and the sneaky surprise that Sydney and Taylor helped pull off.10/10 would recommend.

R Failing: Game night. The place was quiet when we arrived 3 hours prior to puck drop, but was quite busy and bustling when we left 2 hours later. Food was delicious. Tyler, our server, was fantastic! A little on the pricey side and they didn't have any drink specials on which was disappointing as their drinks are fairly expensive. But other than that, it was a great experience with the absolute best location to Roger's to grab a bite to eat before a game.

JR: This is a lovely place to spend time on a weekend, pre-game, or anytime; lots of light entering the restaurant, it has a nice view of the ICE plaza, and the menu has more of an Italian fusion which is nice and different from what you find in other restaurants in the plaza. Service wise wasn’t bad; it could be better. While we were there, there were not many people, yet we felt rushed even though we wanted to spend more time and perhaps other drinks

Corey bnrealwithu: We were looking for an early Dinner out. Braven wasn’t open quite yet so we thought we’d give Kindred a try. We weren’t disappointed. The food was exceptional! The service was equally fantastic. Italian food at its finest. We were incredibly happy to have decided to give Kindred a try. Servers and hostess were friendly and professional. The server was meticulous in table etiquette, lining up glasses and plates. The atmosphere was still very relaxed and casual. Highly recommend! We will be back. 😊

Pauline Wong: Had an enjoyable and lovely weekend brunch with a friend. Service was great and food was delicious. I highly recommend the Dutch Baby skillet!

N. Ma: .The space is beautiful, comfortable, and casual. For better or worse, it lacks the over-the-top, stereotypical Tiki adornments: fronds, grass skirts, wooden masks, tribal patterns, and parrots. I prefer the modern layout, abundance of natural light, and natural touches.Keeping in mind the Tiki style drinks, the beverages were good! Don't come expecting fancy cocktails with incredible depth. I enjoy those too, and you can find that all within the same ground level of the Marriott at their lounge bar or at Braven. I consider Kindred's Tiki offerings slightly elevated, with less reliance on rum, and a better variety of quaky base spirits, but still on theme in terms of tropical, easy drinking flavour. Bring a group to marvel and share at their impressive drink bowls! The only thing I think could be improved is how the food is priced. I get it's the Marriott in the ICE District. However, fine pricey food doesn't fit the fun, casual, Tiki drink theme. You can already order some really well made food at Braven and the lounge bar, so I believe Kindred should exist as the more relaxed, better priced option. Look, I'm not saying cheap, you can see from my photos there's quality and considered presentation here! Very simply: if their eats were more reasonably priced, Kindred could really carve out its own niche!

Marla Bosse: Keep doin what you are doin Normands! See you again soon!

Brendan Eikeland: The food is ALWAYS top-notch ! The service is amazing... probably very easily the best place to eat in edmontonYou WILL NOT leave disappointed!Parking: It's normally pretty easy to find parking but when it's not .... ITS NOT

Melanie COULSON: and my parents had the escargot. Both were incredible, and the carpacio in particular paired very well with our wine. For an entree I had the wild game feature dish which included elk and boar. YUM! And for dessert I had the bananas flambee which was phenomenal. This was our first time here and it will certainly not be our last! There were so many delicious sounding entrees that I am eager to try. If you are planning a nice dinner you should visit Normand's!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for a gluten free diet!

Dale Hildebrand: We have been dining with Normand for 34 years. Recently he hosted grandpa’s 90th. He personally looked after 16 of us all night. Service and food were excellent. So rare to have such great personalized customer service. One of the best restaurants in Edmonton – a hidden gem – try them.

Bündok: what do users think?

Jesse Blond: Had the best time at Bundok with my buddies before the hockey game. Got served up some great food and amazing cocktails. If you’re looking to get some great tasting drinks, that you might not have tried before, go see Meera, she was super knowledgeable and friendly. Helped me pair my meal with a great tasting cocktail

Alison Chang: Go to date night space. This place never disappoints.

Michaela Milne: I always have the best meals here! Great for dates, family events and everything in between. The food, cocktails and wine are always 10/10. If she’s in, ask for Meera she’s such a delight!

Jill Rosser: Cocktails was great!! Nice atmosphere

Chanelle Roussel: We were recommended this place by a friend of mine. We walked in ans they opened and it was empty and they said they were full but could accomodate us at the bar. Both my partner and I found it excellent. The service was great, ambiance was calm and the food was delicious. The flavors were great. We had the soup to start… I believe it was a mushroom soup but can’t remember it was a couple weeks ago, the gnocchi and the chicken and we all loved it. Had no more room for dessert. We expected smaller portion so we ordered a lot but the portion were also very generous for the amount we paid. The soup was honestly to die for. Wish I had room for dessert! Will be back!

Naeem Hussein: Great service and delicious gnocchi + Striploin steak!Recommended dishes Gnocchi …

Vanessa Torres: We really enjoyed our pre-Valentine’s day dinner at Bundok, and tried a variety of dishes on the menu. Service was attentive, vibe was cozy and romantic, and all the dishes were good - though nothing blew us away. All in all, a great option for a special occasion!

Nicole Lamothe: Soooo good. Cocktails were so yummy. Food was perfect. Atmosphere is cozy. I will definitely be coming back

La Poutine (Edmonton): what do users think?

Kay Liew: Nice little place to get a good poutine. Note there is limited seating area, and in the summer there are some tables outside. For there are only a couple of tables and is a very cozy space. There are a number different variations to choose from and I feel they are all wonderful! There are also vegan and gluten free options as well, which makes it a nice place for folks with dietary concerns. The staff are always lovely and friendly and very helpful when it comes to trying to figure out the right poutine for you!Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.Parking: Difficult to find parking on a busy evening or weekday. But there's either free or paid street parking around the area.Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, be sure to mention to the server for your options.

The Butternut Tree: what do users think?

Steve McNeil: , the main was a choice from a Duo of Alberta beef , braised beef short rib and beef strip loin with potato pave and oyster mushroom , or roasted halibut wild rice confit shallots pistou. The dessert obviously was wedding cake but with a twist it was banana Nutella pretzel , and it was also lavender lemon blueberry on 2 separate levels Phenomenal. We ended the night with dancing and a late night snack .I would like to say that the whole day was thoroughly enjoyable and was made so by the Butternut Tree management and staff . Completely professional and should be commended for the way they do things and I would fully recommend them for any function .To Chef Scott I like your style and the way that all of your recipes compliment each other fantastic job I tip my hat to you 🙇‍♂️.Vegetarian options: I would like to say that I didn’t partake in the vegan options but someone at my table did and it had me wanting to try it even though I had no idea what it was lol. They looked amazing and had me wanting to try them

Stephanie Gruhle: This is one of our favorite places to go for Dinner / Date Night. We love it so much that we had our wedding in July at this venue. The food is incredible, the service is outstanding. I could not be happier with their Wedding Packages / Event coordination. I am so thankful that we found this place based on a recommendation from a friend.Thank you Samantha for making our Wedding Day smooth and being so thoughtful throughout the process. I truly appreciate all the details and coordinating that you did!

Sheida Noroozi: . Despite the restaurant not being busy, there was a long wait for our dishes to arrive. The brunch menu doesn't offer dessert or a sweet option. We had previously gotten the cheese board but that was unavailable this last time.I've revised my rating as a result.-----Great location overlooking the Constable Ezio Faraone Park with views of the Alberta Legislature Building.Brunch is excellent! Highly recommend the Fjord Toast and the cheese board

martha mena: Vegetarian options: GoodAtmosphere: 5/5 …

Sherri & Philip Cooper: We were treated very special for our anniversary dinner! Our server, Matt, knew when and when not to come by our table. They locally source most of their menu items! Beef tartare on sourdough and ahi tuna to start. Flavour explosions. They accommodated us by putting the avocado on the side for allergy reasons. We had the caviar plate next. Wow! Sustainably sourced and so delicious! Main courses were lamb and salmon with a side of pork belly. The salmon with the dill sauce paired perfectly and the rice side was such a great combo of citrus, tomato and leek. The lamb with meatballs was so tender with an incredible tomato jam that I have never tasted before! I need to buy that! The pork belly was cooked so well. Crisp and tender at the same time. For dessert, the vanilla panna cotta was a nice light finish. The chocolate cake was a bit harder than we expected while the mousse on top was a delicious crusted caramel. And we took home two macaroons! We had wines to go with every course and were not disappointed in choices recommended by Matt. Chef Scott came at the end to say hello and congratulate us on our anniversary. We had a nice chat learning about the restaurant. What a great fine dining experience! Highly recommended!

Greg Pang: Thoroughly enjoyed their tasting menu with the wine pairing. Excellent food with friendly and helpful staff. Tip: get a window seat because along with an great dining experience, you can enjoy the view, people and trolley watch at the same time.. except in the winter.

Eilatan April: Our group of 12 came in for a birthday dinner April 28th. Our server was Matt and we was an absolute beauty. Very knowledgeable, friendly and patient with our group. Servers like Matt leave a lasting impression on the restaurant. His passion for his job was not unnoticed. Lastly, the meals we received were amazing and we will be back very soon.

Earls Kitchen + Bar: what do users think?

Denise Moraga Ñancucheo: Excelent serviceGood goodNice place

Thomas Stahlke: Earl's has some of the best happy hour specials. Many other places have an item or two on special each night of the week, but Earl's has a happy hour menu with a wide variety of items to choose from, including drinks and appetizers. Earl's also has a classy and cozy environment, and the downtown location has a fantastic patio too! One of my favorites for a casual evening out! That being said, the prices for everything have become exorbitant which makes for a costly evening.

Bobby B: Earls has always been a new years tradition for us and a dine in every here and there.Dynamite role is not bad, truffle fries are good, crab cake is fine, I think the stand out has to be the spinach dip. Quite rich, creamy and tasty. For being a chain restaraunt it's not bad.

Andreas Möllmann: Surprising for a restaurant chain like that to offer interesting and quiet frankly, tasty options like that.Had the nachos with guacamole and it was splendid. The nachos seemed home made and were crispy, hot and super good. The guacamole too seemed home made, i had big chunks of avocado in it and it was great.Poke bowl is a classic there.

Sam Hope: I went to this restaurant before Winspear, the food was okay but our waitress Joyce made it an amazing experience

Stephen Ho: Generally provides consistent quality of food but missed the mark on my most recent visit. However, they were able to rectify the situation, and I was satisfied with the resolution. In terms of pricing, they're slightly more expensive than similar grade hotels. The staff are pleasant, and they don't bother you too much, so you can enjoy your food in peace. It's definitely worth visiting if you're staying at the Westin, especially since the winter temperatures here are unreasonably cold.

Darren Moroz: Great service! Don and Dennis rock this joint.

Linda Vienneau: The food was very good. Our waiter Don was the best we've had in a very long time. We eat at a restaurant once a week. WE would definitely go back!!

Bonnie Elena: Friendly server staff, even made sure I did not have any nut allergies and gave me warm nuts to go with my wine as I walked it up to my room myself.Dining area seems beautiful and clean.

Shaylen Naidoo: Friendly waiter, classy service, good latte and crème brûlée. Wings were ok, seemed a bit stringy with the meat but a nice setting to have post Citadel eats and drinks.
