Andrew Camron: Brendan is a swell guy and gave us great service. He used a big ol’ spoon to mix all of our drinks which was a nice touch. Never seen a spoon that big…..Definitely not frigged and will be back.

I G: Finally, a server that was amazing at her job. It has been years since I had true good service in a restaurant. She was knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. Food was delicious, although I would expect more than 2 tiny potatoes with my $80 steak... but the steaks were exceptional. Great wine list and pairing options. Definitely not a place for everyday dining as it is pricey, but we were there for a special occasion, and it was perfect. P.S. they don't have gingerale 😄Kid-friendliness: We were there with our 2 year old. They were very accommodating. Ours eats what we eat, so can't comment on the kids' menu. She loved the bison steak lol

Jenny Velazco: This restaurant exceeded our family expectations! Drinks were like something we’ve never tried before, not the usual ones you find anywhere, you can actually taste the different spirits and the fruit in them. Food blew our minds, best steak I had in a while and sides were so thought. Colleen Wilson: Enjoyed dinner and desserts with two others June 17/23. Our combined comments are that this was the best dinner we’ve ever had in a fine dining restaurant! Jack Hughes-Juneauj: I had the most perfect evening with a lovely stunning girl. Woodwork is the place to go if you want to impress and be impressed! Wow! The food was wonderful let me get that out of way. Small but concentrated menu that appeals to the cocktail lover. What I want to convey is how amazing the service at the Bartop is! Tariq was our bartender and he explained cocktails to us like he was an absolute professional! Although he was young he could have been a mixologist in a past life from the passion I saw in him while working. He even handcrafted my lovely date and I handmade cocktails of his own design. 10/10 service 10/10 quality. If you come here I highly advise asking for Tariq when you do.

Chantel Boyd: A month ago I stopped in for a drink with my husband before going to watch a play at the Citadel. It was really busy so we took a seat at the bar. We had such a splendid time chatting with the bartenter who made me a special drink after I told him what I like. We ordered a few snacks and it was truly an amazing experience. The bartenter was kind and we loved watching him makes drinks. We for sure will be going back again soon.

Sydney the hostess and Taylor the server were absolutely crucial in helping my dinner surprise go off perfectly for my special guest and we had a great night thanks to the great food, great service, and the sneaky surprise that Sydney and Taylor helped pull off.10/10 would recommend.

R Failing: Game night. The place was quiet when we arrived 3 hours prior to puck drop, but was quite busy and bustling when we left 2 hours later. Food was delicious. Tyler, our server, was fantastic! A little on the pricey side and they didn't have any drink specials on which was disappointing as their drinks are fairly expensive. But other than that, it was a great experience with the absolute best location to Roger's to grab a bite to eat before a game.

JR: This is a lovely place to spend time on a weekend, pre-game, or anytime; lots of light entering the restaurant, it has a nice view of the ICE plaza, and the menu has more of an Italian fusion which is nice and different from what you find in other restaurants in the plaza. Service wise wasn’t bad; it could be better. While we were there, there were not many people, yet we felt rushed even though we wanted to spend more time and perhaps other drinks

The food was exceptional!The service was equally fantastic. Italian food at its finest. We were incredibly happy to have decided to give Kindred a try. Servers and hostess were friendly and professional. The server was meticulous in table etiquette, lining up glasses and plates. The atmosphere was still very relaxed and casual. Highly recommend! For better or worse, it lacks the over-the-top, stereotypical Tiki adornments: fronds, grass skirts, wooden masks, tribal patterns, and parrots. I prefer the modern layout, abundance of natural light, and natural touches.Keeping in mind the Tiki style drinks, the beverages were good! Don't come expecting fancy cocktails with incredible depth. I enjoy those too, and you can find that all within the same ground level of the Marriott at their lounge bar or at Braven. I consider Kindred's Tiki offerings slightly elevated, with less reliance on rum, and a better variety of quaky base spirits, but still on theme in terms of tropical, easy drinking flavour. Bring a group to marvel and share at their impressive drink bowls!The only thing I think could be improved is how the food is priced. I get it's the Marriott in the ICE District. However, fine pricey food doesn't fit the fun, casual, Tiki drink theme. You can already order some really well made food at Braven and the lounge bar, so I believe Kindred should exist as the more relaxed, better priced option. Look, I'm not saying cheap, you can see from my photos there's quality and considered presentation here! Very simply: if their eats were more reasonably priced, Kindred could really carve out its own niche!

Dale Hildebrand: We have been dining with Normand for 34 years. Recently he hosted grandpa’s 90th. He personally looked after 16 of us all night. Service and food were excellent. So rare to have such great personalized customer service. One of the best restaurants in Edmonton – a hidden gem – try them.

Both my partner and I found it excellent. The service was great, ambiance was calm and the food was delicious. The flavors were great. We had the soup to start… I believe it was a mushroom soup but can’t remember it was a couple weeks ago, the gnocchi and the chicken and we all loved it. Had no more room for dessert. We expected smaller portion so we ordered a lot but the portion were also very generous for the amount we paid. The soup was honestly to die for. Wish I had room for dessert! Will be back!

Sherri & Philip Cooper: We were treated very special for our anniversary dinner! Our server, Matt, knew when and when not to come by our table. They locally source most of their menu items! Beef tartare on sourdough and ahi tuna to start. Flavour explosions. They accommodated us by putting the avocado on the side for allergy reasons. We had the caviar plate next. Wow! Sustainably sourced and so delicious! Main courses were lamb and salmon with a side of pork belly. The salmon with the dill sauce paired perfectly and the rice side was such a great combo of citrus, tomato and leek. The lamb with meatballs was so tender with an incredible tomato jam that I have never tasted before! I need to buy that! The pork belly was cooked so well. Crisp and tender at the same time. For dessert, the vanilla panna cotta was a nice light finish. The chocolate cake was a bit harder than we expected while the mousse on top was a delicious crusted caramel. And we took home two macaroons! We had wines to go with every course and were not disappointed in choices recommended by Matt. Chef Scott came at the end to say hello and congratulate us on our anniversary. We had a nice chat learning about the restaurant. What a great fine dining experience! Highly recommended!

Greg Pang: Thoroughly enjoyed their tasting menu with the wine pairing. Excellent food with friendly and helpful staff. Tip: get a window seat because along with an great dining experience, you can enjoy the view, people and trolley watch at the same time.. except in the winter.

Eilatan April: Our group of 12 came in for a birthday dinner April 28th. Our server was Matt and we was an absolute beauty. Very knowledgeable, friendly and patient with our group. Servers like Matt leave a lasting impression on the restaurant. His passion for his job was not unnoticed. Lastly, the meals we received were amazing and we will be back very soon.

Thomas Stahlke: Earl's has some of the best happy hour specials. Many other places have an item or two on special each night of the week, but Earl's has a happy hour menu with a wide variety of items to choose from, including drinks and appetizers. Earl's also has a classy and cozy environment, and the downtown location has a fantastic patio too! One of my favorites for a casual evening out! That being said, the prices for everything have become exorbitant which makes for a costly evening.

Bobby B: Earls has always been a new years tradition for us and a dine in every here and there.Dynamite role is not bad, truffle fries are good, crab cake is fine, I think the stand out has to be the spinach dip. Quite rich,creamy and tasty.For being a chain restaraunt it's not bad.

The nachos seemed home made and were crispy, hot and super good. The guacamole too seemed home made, i had big chunks of avocado in it and it was great.Poke bowl is a classic there.

Stephen Ho: Generally provides consistent quality of food but missed the mark on my most recent visit. However, they were able to rectify the situation, and I was satisfied with the resolution. In terms of pricing, they're slightly more expensive than similar grade hotels. The staff are pleasant, and they don't bother you too much, so you can enjoy your food in peace.It's definitely worth visiting if you're staying at the Westin, especially since the winter temperatures here are unreasonably cold.
