If you are able to make it through the terrible traffic in the West End in time for practice, you'll soon realize that no-shows are common and you'll likely not have enough bodies for a full boat.On top of this, if you're paying, you'll also have to fundraise for the association, regardless if you get to actually row. If not, they threaten to fine you if you're unable to make their poorly organized events.I suggest buying your own erg, as it's about the same price and you'll get the same amount of time in a boat.I would avoid 100%.Lovely people though.

Dave Sloss: I rented the Tracker V16 Laker for a 3-day fishing trip. The guys at Kumbaya boat rentals were great to deal with. They are very personable. The Tracker is a great fishing boat, very stable and was plenty of room for 3 anglers. We fished various depths and water conditions, and it took it all. including when the wind picked up and the water was a bit angry. The tracker cut through the white caps and maintained its stability. I would absolutely rent from Kumbaya again.Thank you, was a great weekend of fishing had by us all.Dave

The Open Water Diver certification course is broken into two parts. The first part is pool and classroom training which is done over the weekend. The second part is open water training. This is where you'll go to a lake or ocean with an instructor and complete your skills in an "open water" environment. During your pool training, the instructor/divemaster to student ratio is about 2 to 8. During your open water training with us, the instructor/divemaster to student ratio is about 2 to 6. Shaun Kessler: Located well on the river. Good paddling up and down river with nearby clubs.Can be a pain to get to but good once you're there.Access road down to the river could be better constructed to prevent maintenance because that's not done. The road in through residential streets and then around the park is not ideal but is usually passable.

Cole Radford: For the indoor classes, the teacher kept the class fun and interesting instead of it being the straight paperwork, she’d make sure to get everyone to do something whether it be reading or telling you what is wrong in the diagram or she just like to have a little fun with the kids at times, for my outdoor portion I had the instructor I had sal. Very fun and very knowledgeable taught me lots and improved many decisions, also knows how to help with anxiety just by being friendly and making the learning experience a fun time. All in all it was worth every penny because they make sure you learn but in a healthy fun way, thank you all for putting in the time to be the best teachers you can be!
homie evan: I had Pallav as my instructor. I had initially paid for 10 hrs Practical and 15 hrs In-Class training. After the 10 hours, I felt I needed more time and it was easy to book more classes. I ended up with 18 total hours of driving practice. The In-Class training was to Alberta government standards and specifications. Make sure you pack lunches and get a good nights rest before, the classes will be long and, honestly boring. Do not stress about the test, as long as you have paid attention, it will be easy. Today, I just passed my drivers test on my first attempt. I can't thank Pallav enough for his excellent teaching and his bright personality. He gave me extensive notes and was patient while teaching me to drive. No hesitation, book your driving lessons here.

When we contacted them regarding a small issue with the charge on our cc, they responded within minutes and righted the error very quickly. Justin Schurer: proceeded to ensure that I had made the purchase, confirm ALL my information, as well as take the time to ask me questions about what boat I would be using the board on and what size and style of rider would be using the board along with several other intellectual questions. This really struck me as amazing, not only did he successfully insure everything about the sale, but also avoided a potential problem before it arose. I had purchased a surfboard from another supplier closer to my home province last year and had a horrible experience with the shipping and customer service I received, not to mention it took 3 times as long to get my product that had zero discount whatsoever initially or after my issue. The gent even chatted with me further about a few things unrelated, no sales tactics, just polite service. What the rep didn't know is that I have been comparing Ocean Sports with many other suppliers for over 3 years and have many times considered buying from them in the past. Ultimately, my surfboard arrived in a ridiculously short time, packaged perfectly, to my door, signature required and confirmed delivery before I even realized it was shipped out. In a world where customer service is basically dead, this young man stood out. I am a well informed customer and am very happy with everything Ocean Sports has done in this transaction. Give him a raise, give him a day off, promote him. Thanks again, can't wait to use the board. You have a customer for as long as you're in business.
