Meadowlark Elementary is a Kindergarten to grade six school located in west Edmonton. It has approximately 400 students enrolled in both the Mainstream and Mandarin Bilingual programs. There is an on-site out of school care as well as busing service from a variety of locations to the school. Lunch supervision is available on a user pay basis.


Meadowlark School offers a strong academic program in English and Mandarin as well as support for Early Literacy Learning and English Language Learners. Students in the regular program also take French as a second language instruction from grades 4-6.

Meadowlark School has a dedicated staff who provide a nurturing academic and extra-curricular environment. Learning is often enhanced with Artist-in-Residence programs as well as other cultural activities.

4worldlovers: Welcome to Meyonohk! We offer regular English programming and a Chinese (Mandarin) bilingual program. Our Kindergarten to grade 6 environment fosters student leadership, mutual respect, modeling of excellent citizenship and acceptance of all students. Meyonohk students demonstrate a responsible and cooperative attitude which is most evident in the manner they respond to the challenge of the high expectations we hold for their academics and behavior. Our school is also focused on “Making the Healthy Choice the Easy Choice” by promoting quality daily physical fitness activities and by supporting healthy eating.

Student learning is enhanced through the use of home and community resources. As we engage in learning activities with our students, we seek ways to incorporate guest speakers and community resources into our instruction. We believe these partnerships not only help make learning meaningful but also allows students to appreciate a variety of career pathways that they may not have been exposed to before.
