The Bandstand Ltd.: what do users think?

aguy hehe: Really good place

Beni: Fantastic spot! Great service, knowledgeable staff, and lots of music to choose from! Highly recommend.

Gail Matheson: This is a gem, both for service and quality. We buy all our band instruments here. My kid loved the flute and piccolo. Next is a saxophone.

David Cuyler: landscape. For wind musicians, it is repairs, instruments and sheet music, as well as accessories and maintenance supplies. It is dealing with knowledgeable and friendly people, many of which you have played in ensembles with. It is that specialized knowledge and good practices that sets them apart.

Ray Théberge: Good inventory of musical charts back by a super musical instrument repair department.

Tom: Great place for all your musical needs, I rented equipment for my daughter's music class and the process was easy. They even dropped it off at our house on their way home! You can't beat customer service like that!

Susan Smith: Fantastic best music store in the city

Ling Liu: I started to love this place. I rent a violin for my jr high daughter. The string broke on Saturday night. I took it in Monday morning before the store opened. The lady opened the door for me and got it fixed right away. She also processed a refund for returning the unopened box of a unused music stand. At the end I got a free expedite fixed, some $$ back and be able to be back in time for my work meeting. My daughter will be able to continue her band lesson. Everything worked out perfectly! I felt I was treated well with courtesy. I am so happy and grateful to Bandstand!

Olivia Menard: I love this place. My trombone valve broke earlier this year and Susan came and picked it up from where I was. It was fixed impeccably. I just got an order delivered two days after I placed it on Saturday, and when I called to ask about some items, Ormand was very helpful.

Cassandra Tomas: Fun fact: if you rent an instrument, the rental fee can be put towards the purchase of a new instrument from the store. Very appealing to know you're not 'throwing money away' on a rental when you may eventually choose to buy, but are not sure yet. They were my go-to store when I was in jr.high and high school band almost 20 years ago, and from what I can see, that's not about to change!

Alicia Calvert: Super friendly and very helpful with figuring out instrument rentals for the kids.

Cosmopolitan Music Society: what do users think?

Fly On wall Vinzio: Great adult community based music programs for all many levels of musical skills. There are choirs, three Concert Bands, two Jazz Bands, and two Handbell Ensembles. All groups are led by excellently skilled conductors.Musical groups are composed of a broad range of age groups in each ensemble provide for a warm and friendly atmosphere. Multiple concerts throughout the season provides for a good opportunity to share our music with the greater community. If you're new to music, been away from music for a few years or have been playing or singing continuously there is a group for you.I've enjoyed the friendships and opportunity to get back into music after years away and would highly recommend the Cosmopolitan Music Society to you.Cheers to all.

D K: Great fringe venue.

Cindy A: I love being part of the Wednesday band! The conductors and director are all very skilled musicians and conductors. We learn lots and have a lot of fun!

Nadine Smith: Great performances and a friendly group! Check it out to learn how to play an instrument, sing in the choir, or even just to take in some great music!

David Kelmer: The Cosmopolitan music society is truly one of the most exceptional places I've ever been too!It offers so much education, performance opportunities, support from the staff, instructors that care so much for the music, and the potential that everyone has, being apart of the music community. You get the opportunity to not only play two concerts at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Center, but also, two concerts at the Winspear Center!I wanna give a big shoutout to All the amazing staff/instructors that are there. You guys are incredible!Come join Cosmo! Even if you wanna come see a show first, it is truly a great and fun experiance.Love And Peace Cosmo!David Kelmer

Aaron Monai: The concerts performed here are beautiful

Tyler Sirman: The concerts put on by Cosmo are always awesome. The vast array of musicians they work with are incredible. From the orchestra, to chorus, to guests they bring in, you're always in for something new and entertaining. They have beginner band programs you can join if you're just picking up an instrument for the first time, and expert bands with established musicians and teachers - and all the bands inbetween. I'd encourage you to check out their site for more info and updated performance schedules.

Doug McLeod: Enjoyed playing there unfortunately parking isn't always good

Stuart York: Great group of people that foster a community of music

Terry Heatherington: Wonderful Christmas jazz band concert!!

Joshua Herron: Great atmosphere to see a band, drinks prices were steep though for just the normal beers and high-balls.

Cole Boychuk: I love this bar. Good shape. Pillars to lean on. Nice bartenders. Free water. Some comfy seating. Coat check. What more could you ask for?Update: still the best damn bar.

wendy Alvarado: Bar was nice and it's very girly inside 🤗

H: Best Venue in town. Great staff. Great people. Great location. Love 9910 so much.

Jeremy Smith: A decent venue for live music. Good beer selection. You can also order food or drinks from upstairs at the Common, if it's not too busy. They've been getting some really excellent bands through lately. It's a very intimate room, you're not going to be far from the band!

Cotie Guzman: Truthfully, every time I go to 9910, I have a blast. It's a great venue and they have fast service. Great location, and they often have amazing local DJs and pop up shows there.Excited to possibly host one of our STUD events there soon!

Rachel Lucky: Had a great time. Great spot

Mars: Ooh what a vibe! I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit here.We came for slam poetry night. The food was amazing!! We got the chicken apricot Flatbread yummy! And the poutine with chicken, either than a sore lack of gravy it was still delicious!Drink prices matched food prices, which was quite shocking. But all in all service despite being poorly understaffed was great!

Tristen Milne: Great venue for small bands, patio is pretty good. Be sure to show up early if they sell out to get your early bird tickets at the door. Staff is friendly and the vibe is great, lots of places for parking nearby.

Daphne Syrja: Only 1 poor waitress to deal with everyone at the show while the upstairs lounge had 2 people for a small group. This was Thursday night. CD release party.

Kris: Good place to dance a little crowded but over all a fun time

Shayla: Great place for a show, friendly staff even when we weren’t drinking alcohol.

Crajjg Corjan: Absolutely loved the place, watched a band called The leaky shack they where awesome!! The staff are super friendly and hilarious great place great atmosphere!!.

monza M: Remember the park in the 70's..used to climb all over the stone shell..about 20 yards nw was a ..bucking horse,a one off in playground humour..saw plenty of hurt kids..also saw Franklin stove and Hot cottage perform..it's a grand old venue ..later at nite one could search for smoke at a table or two..was a zoo in pre 1964 with pool and water fountain..this is a jem within edmonton.Ps: nicest bathroom 2021 borden park canada.

Daniel Blais: This was our first time visiting Borden Park and seeing the Band Shell. Just us talking inside it sounded so clear and pure. I can only imagine what it would be like sitting in the grass and hearing some live music or a mini play being performed. We will definitely be coming back. There are also tons of photo ops around this throughout the entire park. The few short hours that we were here were not enough.

D L: Intimate venue in the heart of downtown Edmonton, showcasing a wide array of artists with its eyes firmly on the underground. The space itself is cozy, yet spartan. Has a bar with a good assortment of drinks. It appears to be wheelchair accessible.I look forward to going back. The only drawback, as far as I could tell, was that it is extremely hot inside during the summer, so even if you are drinking, bring water with you and stay hydrated!

Pancake Gaming: This place is killer.Cool atmosphere.Cool drinks.Cool people. Can't recommend checking out a show here enough.I wish the place had some signage though, it's a bit of a blink and you'll miss it spot.

Ashkon Kishavarz: Awesome atmosphere

Angel Soichuk: I go to shows here all the time, it's an amazing venue with nice people who are heavily involved in the YEG music scene. Lots of genres, from hardcore, punk, rock, folk, all the way to soft indie bands. The bartenders here are super nice, and it's always great to see them. Good fast service and always a nice conversation if they have the time to chat. Ticket prices are always cheap, $10-20 or so. They have a great craft beer selection from local breweries, all reasonably priced. All in all, this is the best music venue in Edmonton, don't miss it!

Brian Lim: Great little place. Dive bar atmosphere but good selection of beers. Came for a punk show and it was great. Will come again for the next show.

Cameron Weichel: Hot damn, this place is lighting in a bottle..! Awesome venue and vibe…highly recommend..!

Karin Trussert: Awesome 😁😁

H: Awesome venue, very low key but the inside is setup really nice for any event.

Casey Patterson: Small intimate venue with great sound, always great times

Commercial Hotel-Blues On Whyte Pub: what do users think?

William Cardinal: What an amazing place for Live music, great atmosphere for the younger and older crowd, amazing staff too

S. Haggerty: I love this place, it is getting bigger and better all the time! They have expanded into their old parking lot which is now part of an outside patio. The way this works is; you can come in off the main street, which is Whyte Ave, from either the main bar, the VLT bar, or into the outside patio. You have free rein to travel through all 3 venues with your drink, and they have live music in the bar, and out on the patio. The VLT bar has Its own music and TV's going;there are a couple pool tables in the main bar, and they have an on-site ATM, as they don't run tabs, it's cash & carry only. The music is usually blues inside the venue, and other acts on the patio. On the day we went, it was during the Blues Fest in Edmonton, so no blues bands were playing there at all, just an FYI.This place is always packed, so be prepared to stand and wait for a table inside, if your interest is seeing the band there. The patio is quite spacious, and they have a smoking area and a vendor on site selling their wares. All in all, it's a great way to spend a night on Whyte Ave for the older generation, but all ages attend here. Good vibes all around this venue.

Alena Danilova: So interesting place

Michael R: Absolutely had a blast at this location. The music with Gary Martin and later on the Billionaires really just made for one of the best experiences in a very long time. Was a great way to spend a day off from work.

Kevin: Good times reliving my youth! Rattpoison put on a great show!!

Tiffaney Marie: This place is a fundamental staple in Edmonton. Always good for a fun time and great live music.

Marcie Sinclair: Went to Sunday Jam, had such a great time. Performerby the name Leo was amazing. Who knew there was a voice like that in Edmonton. Will be returning for sure.

bruce rae: Saturday jam 3pm til 8pm dance to the blues great atmosphere. Also serving fast food now and a different band every night. Rock and blues. Also, an outdoor patio with live entertainment for nice afternoon and evening.

Jonathan Murphy: It's an Edmonton institution. Now has large patio outside, with live music on the patio.

Mal: Haven't tried the food menu but the bar is great and a half decent selection of draft. Christina is awesome and has great conversation. Certainly will be back.Just remember to bring cash as there is no debit. But there is an ATM

dave: Awesome place for every age

Heather Bent: Always have the best time here

Vivah Ventre Ana Claudia Andrade: Great bands, amazing staff

shaun hollywood: Awesome experience! Best music ever and everyone's having a great time.

Karen Vanderwell: Great service. The place to go for repairs.

Rockin Rob: New favorite music store. So friendly and welcoming. Everything a real music store should be. Thank you guys. See you again soon.

John T. Dyck: The best place for musical instruments and supplies. Everyone here is knowledgeable and friendly. I've never had a problem or a bad experience here.

David Jaipaul: new chinrest because mine was fine, and adjusted the sound post for better resonance. Violin sounded a lot better when I walked out of the store, and he didn’t even charge me for the time! Great store, great people, and they won’t sell you what you don’t need.

Mike Donnelly: Great store. Friendly atmosphere, and helpful people. So much nicer than going to a big box store. You can feel the love of music in the store and it’s a nice change. Will be my first “go to” place going forward.

Dean Walls: I really appreciated how helpful and friendly the staff was.

Pedro Lopez: This music store doesn't just sell instruments, it does repairs. In addition, the staff is competent and very friendly in the service.

Eric- Snow183: I have been to a few places trying to find that one place with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Well, this was the place to go! My knowledge is definitely lacking, and my son needed a few things done for his guitar, and I have a family inherited guitar that needed some long overdue T.L.C. They did it all, and great advice and explanation with clear communication, fair pricing, and above and beyond customer services. Now our go-to place is definitely an experience that won't be forgotten.

Josh Zizek: Best string store in town! Amazing staff, incredible service, super friendly. Good vibes all around, highly recommend! Watch out for Byron, he will make you get the best of the best and you'll love it 🤣

Nox Sutherland-Carruthers: Knowledgeable and very friendly! I'm happy with my new tuner and the advice I received.

David Sniegocki: Very knowledgeable and professional staff

Eric Kregel: These folks are wizards! They fixed my banjo when others wouldn't try!

Dave Blicq: . Great axe. Kind, thoughtful, honest folks. Great shop with miles of experience. Look them up, folks. naybordave

Mitchell: Great friendly knowledgeable staff!!! Excellent store for musical instruments!
