Steve Jones: I took my vehicle to my normal mechanic for some drivetrain work and when I picked it up, I asked him if he could take a look at my drivers side door as it was sagging and not quite closing properly. He said he wasn't very good at that particular fix and recommended Southern.I drove in without an appointment and after taking a quick look at it, the manager told me to pull into the shop. I waited in the office for a few minutes then he came back, handed me my keys and said it was fixed. Quick and easy.The best part? I was not charged for this. It really slowed down on body reassembly. I was struggling by myself to install body panels and get the body reassembled on the chassis. I realized it was going to take a qualified team to get it done.After discussing my plan and vision and getting Professional input from Chris, owner of SideShow, I signed the contract and booked my truck in.Chris, Christa and the shop crew got to work. They mocked up the body, dealt with fitment issues and made modifications, aligned and balanced the body and gapped it perfectly.I had a lot of the body panels blocked and primed believing they were straight. Chris and Christa put all the body parts through numerous high build primer coats and blocking sessions. The end result , An exceptional Laser Straight body.Christa's Painting Skills are 2nd to none. She sprayed a perfect out of the gun 2 stage Metallic Basecoat , Clearcoat paint job. In my view the paint couldn't be better however they took it to the next level and cut the clear and layed the most amazing flow coats of clear to finish it off. The Laser straight body with a mirror finish clearcoat is next level Show quality.The SideShow crew did final assembly meticulously without scratching the new paint. That is stressful and difficult but they Knocked it out of the park.Chris and Christa are professional skilled HotRod Builders. Well, Sublime Surfacing is the type of company where you won’t ever think that or feel unsatisfied with a service you paid for. Ted handles each job as if he really was working on his own vehicle. Not only is the care and attention to detail next level, the technology he has to restore and protect your vehicle or metal parts is something special. It’s dry ice blasting to expose bare metal then paint designed to mitigate rust, and finally any non-paintable surfaces are covered with wax to prevent water infiltration in the first place. Nobody in town is using this process. I took my 2015 GMC Sierra to get the undercoating done, but I also had a special need for rust elimination. My truck is modified so that I can drive from my wheelchair. The platform that lifts me into the truck was in terrible condition. Tons of rust, flaking paint and very ugly. Ted made it brand new again. If you love your vehicle, and want it to last, then I would 100% recommend Sublime Surfacing. Ted is an expert and he will treat you right with awesome customer service.
